Chapter 278
Chapter 278
"Yes. Young Master Leo asked me to buy the bullet with the special core that won't be influenced by
magnetic attraction. We have to be careful with this sort of business deal, so we have videos as proof."
Another person added.
Coralie noticed that all of them were injured to varying degrees.
He was shivering as he spoke.
It seemed like he had been terribly threatened.
"Haha, is this enough to prove that I cheated?" Yohan asked.
"Mr. Leonardo, President Holland has been investigating the situation around the shooting range for a
long time. The things you have retrieved are all with us now. If the need arises, we can confirm it at any
time."
Jayson responded.
He was speaking on behalf of Skylar. Although his aura was slightly weaker, it wasn't that bad.
A few other people took turns to voice out what had happened. They were all in contact with Yohan and
were involved in this incident.
"I see that these people have suffered a lot. Doesn't Skylar always disdain doing things like this? What
happened this time? Has he changed his character?" Yohan asked.
He also noticed the wounds on these people.
"President Holland mentioned that to deal with a villain like you, we have to fight fire with fire."
Jayson replied.
Skylar had always been disdainful of this, but in order to save Coralie, he had done everything that he
could.
"Haha." Although Yohan was laughing, the blood vessels on his forehead were bulging out slightly. It
was obvious that he was anxious and furious. He asked, "Where is Skylar? Is he already dead so you
came to fulfil his last wish?"
His words hit right on to the spot at what Coralie didn't dare to think about.
She kept wondering where Skylar could be.
He wanted to save her, but why didn't he come here himself?
He should have come himself!
Coralie was extremely terrified. She looked at Jayson and asked, "Where is Skylar?"
It was obvious that Jayson was trying to avoid eye contact with her. He looked at Yohan and ordered
the bodyguards, "Go and bring Ms. Chariott over here but don't hurt her."
"Yes."
A few bodyguards went over.
Yohan's people also gathered around. This time around, the number of people on both sides were
similar.
As they were on an island, the number of people currently present would be the final amount of people
there. It was hard to deny that Yohan had trapped himself by planning a wedding on an island.
"It seems like Skylar is really dead. Why? Are you taking her back to be buried along with him?"
He grabbed Coralie and asked with an evil grin on his face.
Coralie also stared at Jayson as she waited for his answer.
"You don't have to ask questions about President Holland."
Jayson avoided this question again.
The bodyguards were standing opposite each other. If they were to start a fight, both sides would
definitely be defeated equally as neither party had an upper hand in this.
Yohan didn't want a bloody war that day. Therefore, although he arranged for bodyguards, he didn't
bring his guns.
"Let me go, Yohan. Things have already gotten this far. It's impossible for me to stay by your side
anymore," Coralie voiced out.
She pulled her arm away from his grasp.
If Skylar was still alive, today would be the best ending. Everything would be fine if Skylar took her
away.
However, things weren't going this way.
"Impossible!"
Suddenly, Yohan seemed to have gone mad. He grabbed Coralie's arm tightly and pulled her with him
as he ran towards the opposite direction.
Jayson's bodyguards also rushed over.
Coralie was already weak, so she was dragged along by Yohan. "Yohan, let go of me, let go!"
She pleaded for help.
"Shut up!" Yohan exclaimed.
Yohan was also very slow as he was dragging Coralie along. In the end, he stopped as he was out of
strength.
The bodyguards on both sides were fighting at one end.
Jayson came over with two people and said, "Mr. Leonardo, it's time to give up."
Yohan stood there. He looked at his hand which had grabbed Coralie's arm. After a long time, he finally
let go and stood there without moving.
"I'm sorry, Yohan. I'm sorry."
Coralie kept apologizing repeatedly and she walked to Jayson's side.
Yohan acted as if he didn't hear her. He just stood there and looked at Coralie as if his eyes were glued
to her.
Coralie's heart clenched a little from being watched by him in this way.
When Coralie walked over to Jayson, Jayson said respectfully, "Ms. Chariott, it has been tough on
you."
Coralie looked up at Jayson and asked after a short pause, "Jayson, did Skylar order you to pick me
up?"
"Yes, President Holland has been thoroughly investigating this matter for the whole year. The reason
why it took so long is that he had been taking care of Hendric all this while. Basically, he only started
investigating it personally after confirming that Hendric had found a successful match of cord blood and
that there wouldn't be any problems."
Jayson explained.
Coralie understood that Skylar only came to save her after he had settled what she was worried about.
Hendric's illness was the most important matter. It couldn't be delayed and there could be no mistakes
when dealing with it.
"Is Hendric better now? I heard from Xenia that Skylar has been taking care of Hendric all by himself,"
Coralie said.
"Yes, President Holland has been taking Hendric with him wherever he goes and Hendric has been
very well-behaved," Jayson replied.
Jayson was very familiar with Hendric as Skylar took him along wherever he went.
"It's not easy to investigate this matter of cheating at the shooting range, right? He must have put in a
lot of time and energy," Coralie said.
"Yes. In fact, Leonardo had given them lots of benefits. President Holland had no choice but to use
other ways to force them to tell the truth."
Jayson had been answering Coralie's questions one by one.
When she was almost done with the questioning, she finally asked Jayson, "Since he was so worried
about me and had been working so hard to find proof that Yohan cheated in the shooting match last
year, why didn't he come and personally pick me up today?"
After hearing her final question, Jayson became solemn and didn't speak for a long time.
"What... what happened to him?"
Coralie asked with much difficulty.
She felt as if her heart was squeezed and every beat was so difficult.
She was looking forward to Jayson's answer, but at the same time, she was also afraid of it.
"President Holland..."
Jayson hesitated to complete his sentence.
While he was still hesitating about how to word it, there were gunshots all around.
A bodyguard rushed over and reported, "Mr. Lowell, many speedboats suddenly came from every
direction. Many people came with guns but we aren't sure what their motives are."
After hearing this, their first assumption was that they were Yohan's people.
"Retreat!" Jayson ordered.
He pulled Coralie and wanted to leave.
At this moment, there was smoke all around them. Someone was going to set fire to the forest!
All of a sudden, everything turned chaotic.
Some of the bodyguards rushed to the beach but were ruthlessly stopped by the people at the beach.
"Hahaha."
Yohan, who had been blankly standing there, suddenly burst into laughter.
"Yohan..."
"I was wondering why they have been so quiet these days? It turns out that they want to end me right
here."
Yohan finally spoke.
"What do you mean?"
Jayson asked him.
"Skylar really likes meddling in other people's business. At first, my family only wanted to kill me, but
now you guys are involved. Last time, he sacrificed his own life, and this time, he's sacrificing his
assistant's life." Yohan turned to look at Coralie and said, "Corrie, I've told you that you're a curse to
Skylar. Haven't you realized it yet?"
"Who are the people out there? Your family wants to kill you? Why do they want to kill you?" Coralie
asked. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
Her brain was in a complete mess.
Yohan didn't explain anything to her. At this moment, the people from the Watson family had already
entered the island and they began hunting for someone.
They completely ignored Jayson's troop after seeing them and they went around looking for Yohan's
people.
"Follow me," Yohan commanded.
He lifted Coralie and ran towards the other side of the island.
