MISTAKE 158
Chapter 158: Twisting the narrative.
For
or some reason, The internet narrative started to change when talk of Emma came up. Almost as though someone was white washing the Smith family or trying to take Emma down.
“I don’t believe everything she is saying, I heard that this Emma, when she was Mrs Smith, she forcefully had all of her husband’s mistress abort all their pregnancies. Everyone knew that Mr Smith was afraid of her.” Someone commented.
“What does that have to so with anything?”
“True? Should you let mistresses walk around?”
“Why are you all bring up unrelated topics?”
“What the person says makes sense. If she is that powerful at home, you expect me to believe that he abused her and her mother–in–law managed to touch her son in her home?”
“True, I don’t believe it,”
“Me neither, in high society, they call her the tiger,”
“What is the use of all these lies? Didn’t she just run away because the Smith family are under suspicion for Human trafficking?“”
“She just wanted to remove herself from the situation,”
“Women. Now she is throwing him under the bus.”
“You all are funny. You immediately say she is lying because of rumor about her.”
“True, none of you were there. Besides, hasn’t she accused the Smith family? I am sure they should have a reply,”
“What Smith family? The ones that can barely save themselves from Human trafficking allegations? Do they have time to be answering such accusations?”
“As far as I am concerned, they all the same kinds of people, these rich families,” This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
As they watched the chaos unfold online, Anya and Daniel knew that their lives would never be the same. But they also knew that they were stronger together, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead as a united front. And as they stood side by side, facing the tumultuous sea of public opinion, they knew that they would emerge stronger and more resilient than ever
before.
“They don’t believe me. They talk as though they had been there. So full of knowledge.” Anya said.
“They are only smug for now, because they do not see the evidence, but do you think that Richard would let people insult Emma this long?” He asked and she nodded in agreement.
“True he does not see like the type. I hear he has been going over there for a while now. It is only a matter of time before he sees this,” Anya said.
“And he had probably complied enough evidence to drown them. It is his way. His words made Anya pause slightly.
“Why does it feel like you know Richard well?” she asked and he paused slightly, before. smiling and getting in bed with her.
“It is not that I know him, it is that I know what I would do if I were in his shoes. Besides, I have looked into him. He is a good lawyer. A person like him will have a lot of evidence piled up.” he answered.
“It’s good that she is not alone over there. I feel more confident when you say it that way,‘ she whispered.
With a sense of resolve, Daniel wrapped his arms around Anya, pulling her close. “Don’t worry. No one will get to her, just like no one will get to you. I promise,” he said, kissing the top of her head.
Anya leaned into Daniel’s embrace, finding comfort in his reassuring presence. “Thank you, Daniel. I don’t know what I’d do without you.‘
In Emma’s apartment living room, Richard sat with his laptop open, his eyes fixed on the screen as he scrolled through the barrage of hateful comments directed towards Emma. Each word felt like a dagger, cutting through the air with cruel precision.
Richard’s expression hardened as he read comment after comment, each one more vicious than the last. With a determined glint in his eye, he opened his personal account and began typing out a statement of his own.
“This is Miss Emma Jones’s lawyer.
Miss Jones is by no means obligated to treat the family who abused her and her son well. Mr. Charles Smith impregnated a few women over the course of his marriage and had his secretaries pretend to be Miss Jones’s staff to force women into an abortion. These women were dragged unwillingly to unregistered clinics and forced to undergo surgery. At the request rumor spread by of one of his mistresses, Mrs. Kent who came to beg my client after hearing Mr Charles Smith, we have reported this matter the police and it is under investigation. Mr Jones spread false lies about
his ex wife, Miss Jones to keep his mistresses at bay and afraid. My client had decided to sue for defamation and character assassination.
“During the course of their marriage, Mr Charles Smith physically and mentally abused my client Miss Jones, videos of this I have place below. Mr Charles‘ mother, Mrs Smith physically and mentally abused my client’s son and her grandson, whose Identity I will not be sharing for protection of his privacy. I have placed below videos of Mrs Smiths‘ abuse. The video has been edited to hide the identity of my client’s son. threatened Mrs Smith several times, this is true. The person who posted this information. claiming to be a staff at the Smith mansion is in fact Mrs Smith, using her alternate account. To her words of threats, my client wants her to know that her words still stand since Mrs. Smith is so forgetful.
“If anyone makes anymore claims about my client without evidence, My client withholds the right to sue.”
As his fingers flew across the keyboard, Richard’s words carried a lot of weight.
He burned everyone, exposed the lies and nonsense. He already knew that the person manipulating the media was Mrs Smith, Emma’s ex mother in law.
They had collected a lot of evidence for the divorce, but Daniel Shaw had made things easier and forced the Smiths to accept the divorce before they could take it out to use. Now, then
could sue it.
He shared everything. He also shared footage of Mrs. Smith mistreating Henry, her own grandson, he knew that the smiths had no ability to fight back. Not with Daniel Shaw on their neck. Now Mrs. smith had provoked him, he wanted to see how she would react.
As he posted the statement online, Richard made it clear that Emma would not stand idly by while her character was attacked.
The promised of swift legal action against anyone who spread false claims without evidence, and the backing up his words with court documents proving Mrs. Smith’s history of abuse, did wonders.
With the statement posted, Richard closed his laptop and glanced at Emma still in the kitchen.
online, to Richard’s relief. He put aw She seemed blissfully unaware of what was happening his laptop and paid attention to Henry who had made his way over to his side and started drawing with a marker on his gray pants. He watched him draw for away while before Henry noticed that he had been caught. He looked up sharply at Richard in fear, but noticed that there was no anger in his eyes. If anything, he seemed amused.
“Was it fun?” Richard asked and Henry turned around and giggled as he ran away. When Emma heard his laugh she looked out of the kitchen quickly and saw her son laughing while hiding behind a giant shark doll. She did not notice when her eyes watered. She had not heard him laugh in a year. She looked away to hide her tears and returned to cooking.
Soon she was done and they sat to eat. After eating, she went to clean the plates and the kitchen while Richard took Henry to take a bath Henry played spilling water everywhere and all over Richard who had never bathed a child before. Only after he was done playing before Richard could dry him up and put him to sleep. The little man slept very quickly.
