Chapter 249

Chapter 249 Who Says I Am Dead

If the onlookers beside the lake had seen this, they would be speechless and probably fall to the ground from the shocking scene.

Alex ripped the alligator apart with his bare hands!

That was crazy!

“Why is there a sudden gush of blood?”

Everyone questioned as they saw the pool of blood spread outwards. They could not see what was happening underwater, but the sight piqued them nonetheless.

“Maybe he was bitten to death,” someone from the crowd guessed.

Upon hearing this, Carlene, who finally made it to the bank, broke down in tears.

No! He’s not dead!

He’s a good person! He’s a hero! There’s no way he’s dead!

On the other side, Jessica collapsed to the ground when she heard the news.

Susanna and the others who sympathized observed moments of silence.

They felt bad.

Alex died from saving them.

Meanwhile, snippets of memories of Alex flashed and unfolded before Jessica.

You can’t die! You just can’t!There are still so many things I want to say to you. Please, don’t die on me. Don’t leave me. alone.

“Alex!”

Jessica scrambled to the bank, disheveled. She saw the water turned red and could not hold back her tears.

She cried her heart out as she stood by the lake. Memories kept haunting her and her tears would not stop.

“You are not allowed to die on me! Do you hear me?”

Her voice grew softer as grief, remorse, and exhaustion consumed her.

She could not understand why she felt so weak and tired. All she knew was she her heart was aching.

The most precious person in her life was taken away and all because of her.

“Who said I’m dead?”

An assuring voice pierced through the air followed by a confident laugh.

She wiped her tears and her blurry gaze wandered across the waters. She was not sure if she was imagining things. She saw a familiar face.

Slowly, Alex’s blood–stained and wasted figure emerged from the waters. In his right hand, he held the corpse of the alligator.

The ten–foot–long alligator was severed in half except for the dangling pieces that were still connected. This man survived this creature and even dragged the dead animal to the bank!

“Do you think we can make grilled fish out of this?”

His voice was faint and light, but everyone heard him clearly.

The sun bathed on the valiant survivor. Everyone’s gaze was on him.

They were all dumbfounded.

This man dragged the ten–foot–long alligator ashore! Their jaw dropped.

They swallowed hard as they tried to process what they saw.

This is impossible! Is he even human?

Did he really kill the alligator?

And even ripped it into half?

They recalled seeing him being dragged to the bottom by the creature. He must have split the animal into half underwater.

That was unbelievable. No one had ever done something like this before!

Everyone’s eyes were on the proud survivor. They were shocked and bewildered.

This was simply impossible.

“Alex!”

Jessica felt as if she was elevated from hell to heaven. She could not believe what she was seeing.

But that was Alex and he was smiling. She struggled to her feet and ran towards Alex.

But Carlene was a step ahead.

“You’re alive! Alex, I’m so glad you’re alive!” Carlene dashed towards Alex as she exclaimed frantically.

Alex saved her twice. He was her hero.

“It’s not my time to die yet. Hell is not ready for me,” Alex said humorously.

Carlene looked at him with joy in her eyes. She was stupefied but excited to see him alive. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Jessica ran up to him and stopped before the two. She took a good look at him. Happiness filled her eyes. But there was also a shade of sorrow in her eyes.

“Alex! Thanks for saving us,” Susanna said as she ran over.

The others started swarming to Alex, thanking him for saving them. They looked at the dead animal in his hands, still a little disconcerted,

Everyone would have been bitten if not for Alex.
