Chapter 545 Ignore Them
Rashad recalled something and stopped her, "Mom, don't say that again. I doubt Drake has a secret
identity."
Lily didn't believe him. "A secret identity? How secret is it? If he's so amazing, why can't he
counterattack after you crushed him? I thought he was outstanding. It turned out I was wrong."
After the incident last time, no action was taken, but Rashad still suspected Drake was the King of the
Underworld.
If Drake was, Rashad didn't think he could win against Drake.
"Mom, we shall still tolerate them for the time being."
"Why should we? Haven't we tolerated them long enough? I wouldn't have done it if you hadn't asked
me to call them over." Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Anyway, she had gained the control over the Riley family, so she wouldn't need to care about them.
"Mom, have you heard of the King of the Underworld?"
"The King of the Underworld? What is it?"
Rashad explained it to her. He told her what this mysterious man had done over the years and how
many people feared him.
Lily asked in confusion, "Why are you telling me those things? Are you hinting that Drake is the King of
the Underworld?"
"That's highly possible."
Lily burst into laughter as if it was a joke. "I don't believe in the existence of the King of the Underworld.
And you implied it was Drake? You must be kidding me."
Rashad looked at her, at a loss for words.
"You know what, son? No one is a match for you, at least in Sealand. There is nothing to fear. Just
ignore those arrogant Rileys. Let's not call them to our house anymore in the future."
"If they don't obey you, teach them a lesson. Then they'll know who you are."
"Mom!"
Rashad didn't expect her to be so short-sighted. After all, she wasn't well-educated.
Lily reached out to stop him, "Stop convincing me. I always asked you to keep a low profile before.
However, things are different now, Rashad. Raise your head. Stand upright. No one can do anything to
harm you. You do not have to be subservient or dependent on anyone."
"But, Mom..."
Lily interrupted Rashad again, "Enough. Stop it. Drake will never bounce back."
Rashad doubted it.
He heard the King of the Underworld was not only wealthy but had been involved in arms dealings of
many countries. If so, Rashad didn't think he could be comparable to Drake.
No matter how Lily thought, he reminded himself to be careful.
...
Sophia and the others found a restaurant for dinner.
Emma seethed with rage. "What did she mean? They called us over to insult us, huh?"
"I don't mind what they say about me. I'm aged, and I don't care. How dare they humiliate Sophia!"
Sophia felt touched. Only her matter could make Emma lose her calmness. Emma was always
composed at usual times.
"It's alright, Mom. I don't care."
"I do, Sophia. Haven't you seen how triumphant they are? I wondered why they didn't show off after
gaining the family properties. It turned out they planned to humiliate us this way."
Aria echoed in anger, "I thought Grandpa had been totally sober. It turned out he was still muddle-
headed."
"Drake, you said you looked into Grandpa's will, and there wasn't anything wrong. But it smelt fishy to
me."
Drake glanced at her. "Let go of the will, OK? I don't care whether I'll continue to run the Riley Group."
"You can give up your ambition. But Lily and Rashad have really gone too far. Since they returned to
town, have we bullied them?"
"I have," Drake answered bluntly.
Sophia put her hand on his. "Drake, you bullied them for avenging me."
Aria echoed, "Exactly. You did so because Rashad had purposely broken you guys up."
Drake didn't reply.
Emma sighed, "Anyway, we should be careful about them in the future."
Aria was confused. "Why should we? We don't do anything. Why shall we be afraid of them?" she
asked.
Sophia explained, "Of course, we need to be careful. Aria, we only want to avoid trouble. Anyway, you
will be on the movie set and seldom return home. You won't have conflicts with them."
Aria heaved a sigh, realizing all of them agreed with Emma.
They decided to be careful not because they feared Rashad. Instead, they only considered Rashad as
a despicable, vile man and would not sink to his level.
They changed the topic while having dinner, so the atmosphere became much better.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Helena's agent asked, "Helena, a sponsor wants to invite you for dinner.
Have you made up your mind?"
"Lisa, you should know I'm married. I won't attend such an event. Besides, you also know me well.
Even if I were not Travis' wife, I would not go."
"Of course, I know. The sponsor insisted. You also know me well. If I hadn't had no way out, I wouldn't
have repeatedly mentioned it to you."
They had worked together for years, so Helena knew the agent well. Nodding her agreement, Helena
said, "OK. I can go. But it won't happen again."
Lisa knew what she meant. Nodding, she said, "Thank you, Helena."
"All right. Please don't mention it."
Travis was too busy today and didn't drop by the movie set. Helena wanted to call him to inform him
she would return home late. However, she failed to reach him, so she messaged him and told him the
location of the dinner.
After packing up her stuff, Helena went to the restaurant with Lisa.
To their surprise, only the sponsor was waiting in the private box.
Seeing Helena, the man wore a bright smile. However, after seeing Lisa, he looked annoyed as if to
say, "Why are you here?"
Lisa could tell the man kept winking at her to send her away. Ignoring him, Lisa sat down.
Mr. Pollard could not bluntly ask Lisa to leave, his gaze glued to Helena.
"Ms. Warburg, it's indeed difficult to dine with you. I tried to invite you many times and wired the money
to you, but you returned it. You are indeed special in the show business."
Mr. Pollard gradually put his hand on Helena's while he spoke.
Helena quickly withdrew her hand and said solemnly, "Mr. Pollard, If you know me well, you should
know I will not attend such an occasion usually."
