Amelia turned towards Chloe “Go to my room and wait there okay?”

Chloe nodded and left for the room, Liam walked out of the study room and held the handles of her wheelchair. “Mum there’s no need to cry over spilt milk”

He commented pushing his mum away without sparing Amelia a single glance.

Amelia’s thought drifted to last night’s event, he left the room after she asked that question he didn’t even let her speak, she returned to the room to find Chloe crotched down.

“What are you doing?”

Chloe stood up and faced Amelia with Liam’s laptop.

Amelia panicked slightly and hijacked it from her, she examined it for a while and sighed in relief when it turned on.

“What were you doing?”

“I was trying to open the curtains but then the laptop fell from the drawer”

Amelia clamped Chloe’s mouth shut and looked around, if Liam were to find out he’ll definitely cut off her tiny fingers. She quickly returned the laptop to where it was originally kept.

“Who asked you to touch it?”

She was still scolding Chloe when the door opened.

Liam massaged his neck, he was cramped all throughout the night in the study at a point he had the urge to go back to the room but his pride beat him to it.

His answer came out sharp and cold which hurt Amelia badly..

Brianna looked back and forth between the two who were sitting far away from each other in the long dining, she noticed that they barely looked at each other’s direction.

Now her doubts were confirmed, these two definitely had a quarrel.

They both raised their head from their meals, their eyes met for a second before they turned to Brianna.

Liam peeped at his wrist watch and stood up from his seat. “I’m running late for an important meeting” He said and left the dining.

Amelia avoided Brianna’s piercing stare, she wiped out the smudge off Chloe’s face. “I have to take Chloe to school and I’ll be visiting a friend of mine later today”

Amelia took Chloe by her small hands and left the dining hurriedly to avoid further questions.

Brianna’s lips formed a thin line, something was definitely wrong and no matter what it might be she had something big planned for them.

Nicholas scribbled down on a paper, today was the day he planned on taking Jane out of the asylum he was lucky enough that they could only let her out for two days.

The iron gate which guarded her was opened to let her out while another lady entered the cage. “You know what you have to do? just act to be Jane for two days you’ll be out soon”

Jane stepped out and smiled evilly, she was finally free now she would make Liam and Amelia’s lives a living hell.

Nicholas waved at her which she totally ignored, she pulled off the number tag from her blue overall which was meant specifically for the mental patients.

“I kept my promise it’s time to do yours” Nicholas whispered.

Jane’s bloodshot eyes sent a chilly feeling down his spine, that was all he wanted, a mad lady like her wouldn’t think twice before sending Liam to his early grave.

And then he would get married to his widowed sister-in-law, his thoughts were interrupted when Jane snapped her fingers at him.

“You fool stop daydreaming about anything I won’t spare either one of them! they made me live and dine with mad patients and now I’ll ruin their lives just as they toyed with mine”

Nicholas went numb, did he just invite trouble for himself? what if she really harm Amelia or does anything stupid? So far Amelia was already upset with him he just prayed that Jane doesn’t ruin everything for him..

Dylan closed down his laptop as soon as he saw who stepped in, his expression showed how shock he truly was. “Liam? what are you doing here? you should have asked me to come over to your company instead”

Liam helped himself to sit in front of Dylan, “Are you alright? you don’t look too good”

Liam lifted a questioning brow “What do you mean?”

“I meant to say that you look a bit duller than usual tell me what made you upset”

Liam sighed, he rubbed his jaw slightly, just how was he supposed to tell Dylan about his plight without him making jest of him.

Dylan’s jaw dropped in shock and disbelief, he stroked his chin and sat up from his seat.

“That’s really not possible, you are the only man in her life”

“She told me last night and if I’m right I think it’s that actor, kelvin! she’s always singing about his praises every now and then”

Dylan sighed, he really doesn’t understand girls anymore, but he felt really bad for Liam, Amelia managed to pull him out of his shell and now she loves someone else.

What if that wasn’t the case? He took out his phone and sent a message almost immediately Louisa came in.

“You sent for me”

“We just found out that Amelia eloped with another man who she loves dearly how come you never told me yesterday?”

Liam who was in a deep thought came out of his reverie as soon as he heard what Dylan said.

Louisa looked back and forth between the two, she had a confused expression on her face. “What do you mean by elope with another guy? she doesn’t like any other guy apart from…..”

She creased her brow in suspicion, were they trying to get things out of her.

“Apart from?” Dylan asked

Louisa cleared her throat “that was a slip of the tongue”

Liam waved her off, she was only making matters worse for him.

“What if she is with another guy why does it bother you so much?”

Liam closed his eyes for a while touching the space between his brows.

As soon as Louisa left the Dylan’s office she called Amelia. “Young lady you have a lot of explanation to do, I can’t believe you ignored what I asked you to do, Fine! I’ll meet you there”

Amelia walked into the restaurant and scanned it till she spotted Louisa sipping a glass of wine. She made her way to Louisa’s table.

“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting, I had to stop by the hospital to see Greg, the doctor called”

Louisa stared at Amelia in disbelief “So what if he dies? to hell with him you should be more concerned about Liam not that looser”

Amelia rolled her eyes, of course she always takes Liam’s side.

“You have no idea of how stupid I felt last night, he must think that I’m a big weirdo and that’s thanks to you”

Louisa held Amelia’s hand that was on the table, “Liam thinks that you like another guy and not him, he came to Dylan’s office today and he looked really mad”.

“So that explains his weird behavior since last night, oh my!”

Amelia folded her arms, does he really have feelings for her or was he mad because she broke a rule in the contract which states that she must not be involved with any other man apart from him.

Louisa snapped her fingers in front of Amelia’s face to bring her out of her reverie.

“When do you plan on telling him? or do you want to watch him marry that Allison?”

Amelia paced around her bedroom mumbling words to herself, she tapped her head at her own foolishness.

She had been practicing how to start expressing her feelings once Liam showed up.

Her heart leaped once she heard his car pulling in, She mentally counted his steps after sometime the door pushed open.

Liam’s eyes darted around till it met her’s, She stood up on her feet to approach him but he walked towards the closet instead.

Liam sighed and turned to her with an indifferent face. “I had a really busy and stressful day at the office today don’t try to make me mad” He lashed out coldly at her.

Liam grabbed her arm pushing her backwards till her back touched the wall.

“Don’t make me mad I’m warning you” He pressed her chin slightly sending her warning gazes.

Amelia roughly pulled his hand away “You fool! you are the man I’ve been talking about all these while!”
