Chapter 518 Kicking Down the Ladder
Lance looked at Andy and then looked down at himself. Suddenly, the word "marshmallow" popped into
his mind.
Faye teased, "Do you still think you're masculine?"
Lance refused to admit it, so he said stubbornly, "My masculinity mainly comes from my strong
willpower."
Faye stepped upstairs and said, "If you say so."
After taking a few steps, she turned her head back and said, "Lance, there is a spider!"
Hearing this, Lance abruptly jumped up from the sofa in shock and shouted, "Where is it? Where is the
spider?"
Faye gave him a thumbs up and smiled faintly, "Very strong willpower."
Lance was speechless.
Then, she turned around and continued going upstairs.
Lance took a deep breath and then glared at Andy outside the floor-to-ceiling window. And his anger
made him braver.
A few minutes later, he went into the yard with a towel.
Andy was lean and ripped. When he was concentrating on hitting the sandbags, he suddenly caught a
glimpse of Lance, so he stopped throwing his punches and asked, "What's wrong?"
Lance flatteringly handed the towel to him and said, "Andy, come on! Wipe the sweat."
Seeing the flattering smile on his face, Andy intuitively had a bad feeling.
Hesitating for a few seconds, he glanced at the towel in Lance's hand, reached out to take it over, and
said expressionlessly, "What do you want me to do? Say it directly."
Lance laughed, "Can you teach me this."
Hearing this, Andy glanced at the sandbag and asked, "Boxing?"
Lance nodded, "Yeah."
Andy shook his head, "It's too difficult for you."
Lance retorted, "Do you think I have no basic fighting skills? Andy, my fighting skills are not bad.
Although I am no match for you, I am stronger than..."
Before he could finish speaking, Andy interrupted, "It's not about your skills. I don't think you have the
perseverance to keep practicing."
Lance retorted, "Are you looking down upon me?"
Andy glanced at him in silence, but his expression was saying yes.
Lance was annoyed, so he unbuttoned his shirt, took it off, and then started showing his biceps. He
confidently pointed to his muscles and asked, "Andy, see?"
Andy was speechless.
To prove to Andy that he could practice boxing, Lance gave him an all-round display of his front, back,
left, and right.
Then, he looked at Andy and asked, "How do you think? Do I have the potential?"
Andy frowned, snatched his shirt over, and threw it over his head, saying, "Boring."
Then, he left without looking back.
Lance's head was covered in his shirt, and after he took it off, he turned his head and shouted at
Andy's back, "Andy, why are you running away? I'm not hunky enough?"
Hearing this, Andy quickened his steps without replying.
Staring at him running away, Lance turned his head to look at his reflection in the floor-to-ceiling
window and thought, "I am in good shape. I look lean in clothes but ripped when undressed." Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
The second day after Colin went back home to recover, the old foxes of the Farrell Group came to visit
him.
They all looked respectful, but their eyes were full of calculations.
"Mr. Farrell, Tiffany is dead. When are you going to take over the Farrell Group?"
Colin wore a baggy nightgown, lazily leaned back on the sofa with a cup of coffee in his hand, and
smiled, "When did I say I will take over the Farrell Group?"
Hearing this, the old foxes froze and then exchanged glances with each other.
After a few seconds, one of the executives said, "What do you mean?"
Colin laughed in a deep voice, "I sold my equity to Tiffany long ago. She passed away, but her son
Hank is still alive. Of course, he will take over the Farrell Group."
The executive said, "Mr. Farrell, that is not what you said before."
Colin raised his eyebrows slightly and asked, "What did I tell you before? Did I say I will take over the
Farrell Group?"
The executive fell silent.
Colin had never said that he was going to take over the Farrell Group. It was them that had been
talking about making him the president. But he had just smiled in silence every time, making them think
he was showing his acquiescence.
As Colin finished speaking, the atmosphere in the living room froze.
After a few minutes, another executive said, "Mr. Farrell, you can't do this to us!"
Colin asked with a half-smile, "Why?"
The executive said, "Tiffany ran away because of our report. And then, she was killed by Old Mr.
Farrell. If Hank takes over the Farrell Group, he will retaliate against us!"
After finishing speaking, the executive glared at Colin.
Colin's smile grew bigger when he slowly put down the coffee cup, looked at him, and said, "What does
it have to do with me?"
The executive was furious and speechless.
Colin added, "I know Hank well. So, I advise you to prepare good coffins for yourselves after leaving
my home today."
The executives all blushed with anger and said, "Are you kicking down the ladder now?"
Colin smiled with coldness full of his eyes, "I don't understand what you're talking about."
