Now that he had noticed it, it was impossible to hide it anymore.
When Colin had set up the trap for Tiffany, he had also plotted against Blaine. So, Blaine's every move
had been under his watch.
When Faye finished speaking, Colin whispered in her ear with a low laugh, "Why did you tell me the
truth so easily?"
Faye said, "Since I can't hide it from you, I should tell the truth as soon as possible."
Colin tightened his grip on her waist and said, "I know you're doing it for my good."
Faye nodded, "I don't want you to meet Martha."
Colin replied in a deep voice, "Okay, I will listen to you."
Faye guessed it right that Lance had wanted to tell her something about Martha.
An hour later, when he came back with several bags of food, Faye was waiting for him in the living
room.
When he carried the food into the kitchen, Cindy took the bags over, looked at the price tags, and
praised him, saying, "Lance, you did not buy the food from the supermarket, right? They're fresh and
cheap."
Lance nodded with a smile, "Yes, I went to the wet market."
Cindy said, "Few young people your age go to the wet market to buy food. Your future wife will be
happy to live together with a man like you."
Lance was thick-skinned, so he didn't blush at Cindy praise him but cheekily said, "Cindy, please help
me. If you meet a girl suitable for me, please set up a blind date for us."
Hearing this, Cindy widened her eyes with excitement, "Really?"
Lance smiled, "Why would I lie about such a thing?"
Cindy said, "But..."
But Lance's family background was special. Although he seemed to be running errands for Colin and
Faye now, the Langford family was respectable in Cocanel.
It was no exaggeration to say that Lance had been born with a silver spoon.
Seeing her hesitating, Lance put his hands on her shoulders affectionately and said, "Come on! Am I
such a worldly person in your eyes?"
Cindy pursed her lips and smiled, "OK, I will help you. I know a nice girl. Although her conditions are
average, she is kind-hearted."
Lance was just joking, but Cindy took it seriously.
But things had become like this. If he went back on his words right away, he would feel sorry because
Cindy looked very enthusiastic.
So, he bit the bullet and said, "Good! Please help arrange the date right away."
Cindy replied with a smile, "I'll call her later."
Hearing this, Lance let out a hollow laugh.
Coming out of the kitchen, Lance scratched his head and walked toward Faye.
Seeing this, Faye couldn't help laughing, "What's wrong? Did you cause trouble to yourself again?"
Lance walked over to the single sofa beside her, sat down, and said, "You can't say so. Maybe Cindy's
friend is my Miss Right."
Faye smiled, "Okay! If you have a successful blind date under Cindy's arrangement, I will reward her."
Lance reached out to pick up a grape from the fruit bowl on the coffee table with an unnatural smile, but
he still said stubbornly, "You don't know what will happen. Maybe, I will fall in love at first sight." Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Faye said, "Yes, I wish you to fall in love at first sight."
Lance was speechless.
Hearing her words, he felt the tasteless grape stuck in his throat, and he swallowed hard several times
before it went down with difficulty.
After swallowing the grape, Lance didn't dare to continue the topic, so he said, "Martha asked a man to
contact me."
Faye's smile faded when she asked, "What did she say?"
Lance replied, "She wants to meet Colin."
Faye said, "No way."
Lance nodded and said, "I know, so I've rejected her."
Hearing this, Faye nodded her head.
Lance adjusted his sitting posture, threw another grape into his mouth, and said, "And then, she asked
to meet you."
Faye said with a sneer in her eyes, "She is persevering and knows how to settle for the second best."
Lance lowered his head to spit the grape skin into the trash can, looked up at her, and asked, "Are you
going to meet her?"
Faye kept silent for a moment and then answered, "Let her choose the time, and I'll go to meet her."
Lance responded, "Okay."
After briefly chatting with Lance, Faye got up and went to the stairs. When she passed by him, she
looked at the grape skin he had spat out and frowned slightly, "Don't be so pretentious when dating the
girl. Nowadays most girls prefer men who are masculine and informal."
Lance raised his head and forced a smile, asking, "I'm not masculine?"
Faye smiled, deliberately looked him up and down, and said, "Just so-so."
Lance asked, "What?"
Faye smiled, glanced at Andy who was throwing punches at a sandbag outside the floor-to-ceiling
window, and then jerked her chin at Lance.
Lance followed her gaze and turned his head to look out the window. Andy was wearing a pair of
sweatpants, and his upper body was naked. It was not a hot day today, but his body was beaded with
sweat.
