Arrogant Man VS Unyielding Woman

Chapter 328 What Nonsense Are You Talking About

Chapter 328 What Nonsense Are You Talking About

As the saying goes,"Ignorance can be forgiven". I will ask for forgiveness from Grandpa on her behalf, '

thought Zed.

Jesse didn't expect Jean to be the way she just acted out! A weird expression came over her face and

she thought, 'Jean, you are done!

You have offended the most respectable man ever. No one has ever dared to talk to Grandpa Benjamin

like that!

If it was like the old times, you must have been executed!'

Dan looked at Jean and admired her courage.

"You are pissing me off!" Benjamin tapped the floor violently with his walking stick. His eyes raged with

anger, he glared at Jean and scolded,"How dare you talk to me like that? Do you wanna risk losing

your neck?"

"Grandpa, I know that you once were in the military and you were a high-ranking official. But now that

you have retired, you can't treat people younger than you the same old way. I know that I might not be

qualified to talk to you like that, but as a senior, you insulted me first. You can't look down upon me and

defame me as if I am nothing. Just because I don't have a strong family background that you are

insulting me like this?"

Jean spoke for herself reasonably.

"It seems that you still have some self-knowledge," Benjamin said sternly.

"I know myself well and I know who I am," replied Jean, with a bitter smile on her face.

"If you are so clear about yourself, why are you so stubborn? Didn't you know that I will dislike you

even more after you replied to me rudely?" Benjamin roared at her.

"Grandpa, even if I seal my lips and stay silent, you still won't like me. Since there is no way you will

ever like me, and you always thought that I don't deserve Zed, why don't I just clear myself then?" Jean

sighed, a grave expression on her face.

"Are you defending yourself?" Benjamin laughed grimly. He replied,"Are you saying that I am being

unfair to you?"

"Grandpa, you disliked me at first sight and just now you asked Zed to divorce me. Do you think you

are being fair to me?" Jean asked while she looked at Benjamin bravely.

Benjamin was stunned. He turned his head around and glared at Zed, who had been silent all the time.

"Zed, can't you see your wife's arguing with me? Do you still see me as your grandpa?" He sounded

angry. His face lost every colour.

"Grandpa, I am also curious as to why are you not happy to see her since you just met her," Zed

responded helplessly.

"You! How dare you?" Zed's words made Benjamin angry. Like a roaring lion, he shouted,"Zed, are you

taking her side and going against your grandpa?"

"Grandpa, I dare not! I chose Jean as my wife and I have settled with her. Grandpa, you know me well.

I love my wife and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. But you really want to tear us apart and

this really embarrasses me,"

Zed said and threw up his hands helplessly.

"Don't act in front of me!" Benjamin sniffed at him. He then looked?at Jean?and muttered,"I don't know

what you see in her. Has her personality appealed you in any way?"

"Grandpa, please give it some time so that you can get to know her better and then I am sure, you will

understand why I married her," Zed explained as soon as he noticed his Grandpa's angry face. He

smiled happily at the mention of his dear wife.

"You brat!" Benjamin hit Zed on his head and then straightened his face to look at Jean. "For Zed's

sake, I will give you another chance to prove yourself. If you still can't make me change my mind, then I

suggest you better leave and never show up again."

"Grandpa!" Zed cried, showing his discontent.

"Did you hear me? For Zed's sake only! If you really want to stay with Zed, you should behave well!"

Benjamin emphasized his words again, as he looked at Jean.

Jean sighed with relief and smiled,"Yes, Grandpa, I won't let you down."

"Hmmm..," snorted Benjamin.

Jean smiled but she felt like a mess.

She knew that as Zed's Grandpa arrived, she would face more troubles.

'Sonny, what are you up to now?'

Jean wondered, wishing to get some energy for her future ahead.

"Jean, what are you staring at? Get into the car!" After Zed helped Benjamin get in the car, he saw that

Jean still stood there in a shock from recent events. He walked up to her.

"Zed!" Jean pleaded in a pitiful voice. "Can I stay out for a few days? I really have no idea as to how to

get along with your Grandpa."

"What did you say? My Grandpa? He is your Grandpa too. Jean, if you just regard him as my Grandpa,

then you will never get along with him. You should treat him as your own Grandpa. Also you will find

out eventually that all the old people have one common problem, that is, they are all like small children.

I am sure that as long as you accommodate him, amuse him and make him happy, he won't mess with

you,"

Zed sighed lightly and patted on Jean's shoulder to comfort her.

"Really? You are not fooling around with me, are you?" Jean turned her head to look at Zed in disbelief.

'Grandpa doesn't look like a child!

He looks scary and he is unreachable, ' Jean wondered.

"Why would I ever fool you? Don't worry at all! You have me by your side!" Zed continued to comfort

her.

"I was rude to him so perhaps he hates me even more now," Jean said and frowned, full of worry.

"Didn't he promise to give you another chance?" Zed laughed as he saw Jean's depressed face. "Are

you terrified now? I think you should act like that a little longer."

"What nonsense are you talking about? I acted that way because I got irritated by him. How could he

ask you to divorce me the moment he saw you? Even if I was tolerating until then, I couldn't anymore."

Jean pouted at him.

"I know you got mad. But I am happy for what you did," Zed looked at his wife and smiled.

"I offended grandpa. You are not blaming me but actually feeling happy about it?" Jean couldn't believe

what Zed just said and she looked into Zed's eyes.

"What I am happy about is that you get angry if anyone asks us to divorce. It means that you value our

marriage very much. But, Jean, even if Grandpa did the wrong thing, we shouldn't disrespect him. After

all, he is 80 years old and he is our Grandpa, we should respect him. So, don't be that rude when you

answer him back the next time, okay?" Zed tried to persuade Jean patiently.

"I get it!" Jean nodded in agreement. "Actually I regretted what I just said as soon as I split it out. I feel

guilty."

"It's okay! Now don't think too much. I suppose that Grandpa won't irritate you next time by asking me

to divorce you. You should behave well in front of him to earn his satisfaction so that he accepts you.

For the sake of our happiness, I believe you can do it!" Zed tried to cheer her up.

"Okay, I will!" Jean was much more confident now and she nodded quickly. NôvelDrama.Org © content.

"Hey, you two! Will you get in the car or not? What are you both talking about?" said Benjamin sternly

in the car. He had run out of patience.
