Chapter 1373 Arissa Catches It
Chapter 1373 Arissa Catches It
Benjamin had gone to the company for a meeting before returning home. As he neared Yaleview, Robert's call came through.
He parked the car by the side of the road and answered the call. “What's up?”
“Mr. Graham, yesterday Regan approached Gavin with the help of the logistics director. I have already dismissed him.”
Robert's voice trembled with fear as he spoke, worried that Benjamin would hold him accountable.
“From now on, apart from registered parents, relatives and strangers are not allowed to enter the school campus at will. All visitors must register and be escorted by the security at the entrance.”
After issuing the command, Benjamin emphasized enhancing campus security before hanging up the phone and driving back to Yaleview.
Arissa was sunbathing in the garden while Darius fished nearby. Shaun also kept Darius company by fishing.
“Old Mr. Graham, is it really okay to fish here? If Benjamin finds out, won't he scold us?”
Shaun gazed at the calm water's surface as he sighed softly. For some reason, it was as if the fish knew they were fishing, for they didn't feel a tug on the line.
“If you're scared, then don't fish. Stop making a fuss! I didn't catch even a single one after half an hour because of you!” Darius glared at Shaun in annoyance.
Arissa laughed heartily, watching them argue. “Edwin just fed the fish this morning, so it won't be easy to catch them!”
“Some are still hungry, Arissa. Just watch. I will catch a big fish for you and make you a dish!” Darius promised with a smile.
“Perfect, we'll have fish for lunch!” Arissa replied with a smile, not wanting to dampen Darius' spirits.
Shaun tilted his head to listen, then looked towards the front door. “Old Mr. Graham, I think I heard the sound of a car. Could it be Benjamin? Is he back?”
Shaun was rather intimidated by Benjamin. After all, not everyone could casually fish in that lake.
“You must be hallucinating! I don't hear anything!” Darius scoffed, continuing to sit there and fish.
Arissa couldn't hear clearly as well. For one moment, it sounded like a car was pulling in, but when she perked her ears up to listen, it was silent.
“He couldn't have return so soon!”
After a while, Shaun saw that it was indeed Benjamin's car. His expression turned dire as he quickly hid his tools in the flower bed.
Arissa couldn't help but laugh. “Why are you hiding it? Aren't you going to fish anymore?”
Shaun chuckled a few times, reminding her, “Mrs. Graham, please keep my fishing with Old Mr.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
Graham a secret!”
Shaun was impressed at Darius' bravery. If Benjamin sees Old Mr. Graham fishing, he probably won't scold him, right?
“Huh?” Darius' eyes suddenly lit up, and he turned to share the good news with Arissa but suddenly noticed his son approaching.
Before yanking the rod, he hastily handed it to Arissa, whispering, “Reel it in! You've caught it! I'm not the one who caught it!”
Darius shifted all the responsibility and then rushed to stand by Shaun's side.
Arissa was speechless at his actions.
“Haha!” Shaun couldn't help but chuckle. “Old Mr. Graham, why are you so adorable? I thought you weren't afraid of Benjamin!”
With a blushing face, Darius glared at Shaun unhappily and reprimanded in a low voice, “Why didn't you tell me that Benjamin is back?”
The corner of Shaun's mouth twitched slightly. His voice wasn't exactly soft when he told Arissa the instructions earlier.
Apparently, Darius didn't hear their conversation at all.
Arissa didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the situation.
At that moment, Benjamin approached. His gaze swept over Shaun and Darius, finally landing on Arissa.
Arissa still held the fishing rod in her hand, flashing him a smile.
“Fishing?” Benjamin's voice was incredibly gentle as he spoke to her.
“Um, yes!” Arissa quickly answered, nodding her head as she reeled in her line.
“Let me!” Benjamin took over, skillfully reeling in the line. A plump fish wriggled in the air.
“Arissa, this fish is so plump! I'm sure it'll taste delicious!” Darius was overjoyed, signaling Shaun to quickly take the fish off the hook, fearing Benjamin would throw it back into the lake.
