Chapter 1323 Discovered
Seeing them come down, Darius hurriedly waved and called out to Arissa, “Issa, come and eat!”
“Okay!” Arissa cheerfully responded, urging Benjamin to hurry up, as he was currently acting as her legs. “Dad, you came over but didn't even have someone let me know.”
Darius chuckled warmly. “You've just been discharged from the hospital, so it's best if you rest more. If I had told you, would you be able to rest properly? Definitely not. That's why I didn't let anyone go up and disturb you!”
Benjamin carried Arissa over, and Darius instructed him to place Arissa next to him.
Benjamin let her sit in the seat close to Darius while he took the seat on her other side, preparing food for Arissa.
After exchanging pleasantries with Darius, Arissa began her meal. Throughout the meal, Darius continually served her dishes.
“Issa, eat more!”
“Thanks, Dad. You should eat too. I can help myself!” Arissa was overjoyed and reciprocated Darius' kindness.
“Issa, isn't it much more comfortable being home than in the hospital?” Darius looked at her with a smile, his face full of affection.
Arissa nodded, swallowed her food, and then replied, “Yes. It is much more comfortable at home.”
“I feel the same way. I'm not comfortable staying in the hospital. I feel out of sorts there. Home is where I'm most at ease. From now on, let's avoid hospital stays and take good care of our health,” Darius said with a chuckle.
Benjamin sat quietly on the side, eating his meal. Noticing they were chatting and laughing non-stop, he interrupted his father, “Stop nagging while we're eating.”
Darius glared at him irritably, but when he faced Arissa, his face was full of smiles. “He's just jealous of us!”
Arissa smiled, glanced at the man beside her, and teased, “Can't I even exchange a few words with my dad?”
Benjamin glanced at her. “Eat your food. Can't the talk wait till later?” This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Arissa pursed her lips slightly, deliberately serving some dishes to Darius, but didn't do so for Benjamin. Darius happily returned the favor, creating a harmonious and joyful atmosphere.
Anyone unaware of the truth might mistake them for father and daughter and assume that Benjamin was the son-in-law.
After finishing her meal, Arissa sat in the living room with Darius, enjoying dessert after dinner while they chatted about everyday matters.
Benjamin was on the balcony, making a phone call with a serious expression. “If Justin suspects I'm behind this, let it be. We'll make his assumption true and let him lie in the hospital bed for another year.”
“Mr. Graham, I understand!” Jack exclaimed excitedly, “I will certainly not leave any traces.”
Benjamin put away his phone, his gaze fixed in the distance. Justin was beaten up in his hotel, and the surveillance cameras were broken...
His slender fingers were rhythmically tapping on his thigh.
Benjamin made a phone call to Ethen. “Is Justin's misfortune your doing?”
Ethen, on the other end of the call, was taken aback. He hadn't expected Benjamin to find out so quickly. Hadn't I suppressed the matter?
“Mr. Graham...”
“Speak the truth!” Benjamin interrupted him, his aura overpowering.
Ethen swallowed hard, steeling himself as he responded, “Yes!”
“Why are they scheming against him again!” Benjamin frowned, feeling that things weren't that simple.
Ethen was going crazy inside. Should I tell the truth or not? If I do, will the kids be punished again?
“This... Mr. Bailey and Mr. Watts are in this together!”
Shaun and Kingsley? Benjamin didn't expect those two to be involved as well. “Who else?”
Ethen assumed that Benjamin already knew everything, so he quickly came clean.
“The kids too. They simply couldn't stand being bullied by Justin, so they wanted to teach him a lesson themselves.”
After all, Julian had been taught a lesson. It wouldn't be fair to let Justin off the hook.
The kids simply wouldn't be satisfied until they've taught them a lesson.
“I was afraid that if I didn't help them, they would be at a disadvantage if they went on their own, so I decided to go with them.” As Ethen didn't hear any response from Benjamin, his confidence wavered.
