Chapter 273
Chapter 273
"Skylar, you really like meddling in others' business," Yohan said.
His mood was ruined after hearing what Skylar said.
Obviously, his tone was awful as well.
"Leonardo doesn't like to give back what he has taken away from others. In that case, I'll help him
return some things that do not belong to him," Skylar expressed.
He stood in front of Yohan without any fear at all.
"Really?"
Jerry was the first to ask.
"Really." All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Skylar nodded.
"Why should we believe you?"
Tom was smarter, so he wanted to get reassurance from Skylar.
"You have no choice but to trust me. He just said that he would not return the patent. If you don't utilize
my help, regardless of which option you choose today, it'll lead you to your grave."
Skylar communicated clearly and reasonably.
"Tom, let's follow him."
Jerry suggested.
"Lawsuit? You won't be able to beat me at that. I once beat him, so why would you believe his words?"
Yohan said while walking forward.
Seeing him walk forward, Tom pulled Coralie and stepped back.
"Stop!"
Skylar grabbed hold of Yohan when he saw him moving forward.
"Get out of my way. I'll save her if you won't."
Yohan walked forward as he was speaking.
Tom took a small step back with every step Yohan took forward. "Don't come over!" Tom said.
"Let her go. Take this three million dollars and get lost," Yohan said.
"Don't think I don't know what you're thinking!" Skylar yelled.
He rushed over and grabbed hold of Yohan as he continued to move toward Tom and Coralie.
Both of them fought at this moment.
At that very moment, Tom was observing and didn't notice that he had already reached the edge of the
building.
He moved one small step back and couldn't feel the ground.
"Ah!"
They didn't fall immediately, but their feet were in the air. They had lost their balance.
As Coralie's hand was tied up, she could not move at all. She could only lean forward as much as
possible.
At this most critical moment, she raised her eyes slightly and saw Skylar rushing towards her. On the
other hand, Yohan stood still. His body slightly leaned forward but his legs were not moving.
"Skylar, don't come over."
Coralie could only say that at that moment.
However, she knew that Skylar couldn't hear her. He rushed over to save her.
Coralie felt that she was falling, and it was already too late when Skylar rushed over. Both of them fell
together.
"It's over."
At this moment, there were only two words in Coralie's mind. She knew that they were on the third floor
and there weren't any grass or bushes beneath them. They would most likely die falling from this
height.
The two of them fell off the building together...
Other than them, Tom was falling too.
......
After the longest time, Coralie woke up again.
When she opened her eyes, she didn't see a white wall or a white bed. Instead, she saw something
she was familiar with, an old-fashioned but luxurious room.
This was her room in the Watson family home in S Country.
Coralie turned around and saw some machines in the room. They seemed like monitors for her pulse.
Otherwise, there was nothing else.
"Skylar, Skylar..."
The scene before they fell was gushing through her brain as soon as she woke up.
Her mind was full of Skylar.
They had fallen off the building. Although it was only from the third floor, she was still worried. She
remembered Skylar holding her at that time. When she landed, it was definitely on Skylar.
"You're awake?" Yohan asked.
The door was opened and he stood at the door in casual clothes.
Coralie looked up and saw a surveillance camera at one corner of the room. She figured that Yohan
must have been watching her.
"Where is Skylar?" She asked.
At this moment, she couldn't bother about Yohan's feelings.
In the past, she would still be worried if she would hurt Yohan. However, she felt that it was all
unnecessary. What Yohan felt for her was probably nothing more than possessiveness.
"Worried about him?" Yohan asked.
"He was the one who saved me. How long was I out for?"
Coralie asked all the questions she had.
"I know the two kidnappers. They would never do anything extreme. Skylar was the one who..."
"Shut up!" Coralie was completely furious. Yohan had been putting on such an attitude. It wasn't that he
understood the kidnappers; he simply didn't take her life seriously.
"Yohan, if, I mean, what if they threw me off the building in their fury? Have you never thought of that?"
Coralie asked.
"They won't," Yohan replied.
"Why wouldn't they? You have ruined their family and even caused their father's death. You pushed
them toward desperation, so is there anything that they wouldn't do?"
Coralie interrogated him, enunciating her words.
Her head was spinning as she had just woken up. However, she couldn't control her anger when she
saw how Yohan reacted.
If he hadn't forced the kidnappers into that state, would they have jumped off the building with her?
Why did Skylar rush to save her?
"He was being impulsive," Yohan responded.
"You're still blaming him until now? You were the one who kept forcing them at that time, that's why we
lost our balance and fell!" Coralie screamed.
She was agitated and she really hated Yohan at this moment.
"The outcome had already been established, but this seems like the best ending for me," Yohan said.
The best ending...
Coralie's heart stopped a beat when she heard those three words.
"What do you mean..." She asked.
Her face turned pale as well.
When she fell from the third floor, she only fainted and wasn't badly injured. What could that mean?
Did she fall on Skylar and Tom?
"I'll make things simple." Yohan walked beside Coralie, sat on the bed, and put his hand on her legs
over the comforter. "Just stay with me for the rest of your life and don't get distracted by any other
thoughts," he said.
"Yohan, you don't love me nor care about me. You don't even care if I die, so why do you want to keep
me by your side?" Coralie asked.
Her hand was almost trembling.
She didn't know what happened to Skylar, but she had to go and have a look at him regardless. It
would be great if Yohan was willing to let her go, otherwise, she would sacrifice anything to leave.
"Who says that I don't love you?" Yohan reached out to brush Coralie's hair but she avoided him with
disgust.
"Tell me, where is Skylar? What happened to him? Is he badly injured?" Coralie continued asking.
"I don't know," Yohan said.
That was the only thing he could say after Coralie's relentless questioning.
"You don't know?" Coralie asked.
"Two days ago, both of you were separated after you fell down. However, according to the news from A
City, I'm afraid that it might be bad news," Yohan answered.
"You're lying!" Coralie shouted.
She wanted to get out of the bed, but she was dizzy and fell over.
Yohan looked at her and frowned. "Why can't you just stay with me in peace? You're the only one
whom I want by my side," he said.
"But I don't care about that!" Coralie shouted.
"You're the one who exchanged your life for his. You're the one who said that you'll stay with me
forever," Yohan said.
He squatted down and grasped Coralie's arm tightly. He looked frightening.
"But he might be dead..." Coralie said.
"Don't worry if he is dead. I have a recording of him with me. Do you want to watch it?"
Yohan asked gently, unlike how he usually sounded. It was as if he was tempting her to watch the
video.
