Chapter 12
The man thought the police were after him and bolted immediately.
Mila was about to thank the police, unaware that she was their real target.
The reason was she had bribed hospital staff to swap babies, abused and killed a child, and incited others to commit murder.
I had meticulously gathered evidence. The police wouldn’t need to work hard on this case. It would be closed quickly.
I was exhilarated inside, feeling the joy of finally avenging the wrongs done to me.
My child, who was tortured to death before she even turned three, and my innocent husband who was brutally killed.
I had finally avenged you both.
As Mila was taken away, she shouted, cursing me, “So you knew everything! You set me up today!”Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
“When I get out, I won’t let you off!” she threatened.
A police officer shoved Mila a little. “Behave yourself,” he said.
I calmly watched as she got into the police car, making a throat–cutting gesture at her.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to get the best lawyer for your defense,” I taunted.
“So good that you’ll never see the outside of a prison again,” I added.
Mila bared her teeth at me, trying to intimidate, but my gaze made her falter.
In the end, she could only stare at me through the car window, slowly realizing her fear.
Watching her fearful, pitiful state filled me with energy.
The heavy burden that had weighed on my heart was finally lifted.
I felt completely relieved.
