When Love Turns Cold

CHAPTER 110

Hansel took great satisfaction in being needed and knowing he occupied a special place in someone’s mind. It was something Miranda could never offer him.

Even so, when he finally got together with Ingrid, he sensed something was amiss. Though, he couldn’t quite figure out what it was.

He made his way along and eventually reached the shore. Suddenly, he froze, his eyes taking on a steely look and his meanor becoming grim. He spotted Miranda and Sam lounging each chairs nearby, enjoying themselves with laughter and drinks.

Ingrid hurried after Hansel, having quickly dabbed on some serum after removing her face mask. But she struggled to keep up with her heels sinking into the sand. It took her a good while to catch up with him.

“Dear, what’s…” Ingrid’s voice trailed off as she followed his gaze.

“Looks like Miranda’s hitting it off with Mr. Cooper.” She smiled, her tone light and casual. “They’re even having a drink together.”

Hansel’s face stayed emotionless.

I nearly mistook them for a couple when I saw them from afar. They actually do look quite well together. Isn’t it a coincidence that Miranda and Mr. Cooper are both vacationing in Marvedis at the same time? Do you think they might have arranged this, or is it just a lucky coincidence? I wonder.”

Ingrid linked her arm with Hansel’s and continued, “The night breeze by the sea is fierce. It’s freezing out here.”

She sneezed. Having dashed out after him moments before, she had -only managed to put on a strappy dress and had forgotten her shawl.

The cold was biting her hard, but Hansel showed no signs of offering

her his coat. His look was so cold that she felt a sudden frost creep into

her bones.

Ingrid tightened her grip out of jealousy but kept a look of innocence.” Dear, I’m freezing. Can we please go back?

Hansel pulled his arm away and left.

Ingrid stood there briefly, looking lost, but soon hurried after him. “Dear, wait up…”

She took a few steps, then turned back to Miranda and, in a half–dazed voice, muttered, “She’s still holding on, huh?”

After some effort, she finally caught up with Hansel, and together, they made their way back to their hotel.

The sound of running water drifted from the bathroom. Ingrid glanced at her reflection in the mirror. She wore a seductive slip that clung to her flawless skin, and her face shone with alluring beauty. It was a sight that could make anyone’s heart race.

After Hansel finished his shower, he slipped into a silk robe and dried. his wet hair with a towel. As he made his way to the bar to pour a glass of red wine, a pair of delicate, fair hands slipped through the opening of his robe and gently traced his chest.

Ingrid’s warm body nestled close to his, and she nuzzled his ear with the light–hearted affection of a kitten.

Her touch was flirtatious, tinged with a subtle allure as she murmured, ” Dear, it’s been a while since you’ve shown me any affection. Don’t you. want me? I love you so much. Don’t push me away, okay?”

Hansel stayed silent for what felt like ages.

Ingrid saw his silence as a sign to proceed. She boldly went for the

drawstring of his pants, but a sharp shove sent her stumbling away. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

Ingrid wasn’t about to give up. She reached out agair melted when her eyes met his emotionless gaze. She remained rooted to the spot.

Hansel had run out of patience and left for another room.

Ingrid watched him go, her chest heaving with frustration. She could barely keep her anger in check

She had believed their relationship would grow stronger after what had happened, but he hadn’t shown any interest in her at all since.
