Chapter 12 Enemies
Agu wanted to know why Azuaka Jnr. behaved abso-badly-lutely at the club the previous day. He and Nku sat on the balcony as the wave from the ocean view swept across their skin.
Ferguson was smoking in the room, shouting at the top of his voice as he skyped with a friend.
“Azuaka says he doesn’t understand you any more after seeing you and Ferguson with a Chinese man at the club the other day,” said Agu, wondering what Nku was going to say.
Nku was quiet as light.
He went further to say, “We came to club and suddenly it turned out black because of the Chinese man. What is happening, son of man? Do we have a new face in the game? Am I going to see some fucking Zombies from underworld soon?”
“You see Azuaka overreacted. Prior to the club, Ferguson had a discussion with me about a Chinese billionaire that wanted to buy the software. The money is daisy, son of man.” He looked into Agu’s face.
Agu frowned at him and remained quiet.
“Mr. Ziu is generous. He is offering us fifty million dollars for the software. Joyous over the news, I felt the Monkeys may like the idea so I committed his interest by showing him the display of the software at the club.”
Agu dragged a more severe frown at Nku and looked away. “You took us unawares, son of man. You never mentioned that to us. We feel betrayed you know.” He brought out a cigar from his pocket and lit.
“I intended to tell the Monkeys later.”
“Fuck that, Nku. It happened at our back. How do we know all that happens at our back?” He blew a cloud of cigar smoke. “We are the frontiers of this software. If anything must happen we must have pre knowledge about it so as to ease off distrust. Nobody wants to cancel Christmas on anybody’s ass.”This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
“Calm down, Agu. I just told you all that happened at your back. My apologies.”
“We are brothers, united by blood and sweat. If there is any transaction our interest should come first, son of man.”
“I know I acted too fast. But I meant no harm. We have been in this game and nobody will be hurt. I did whatever I did for the benefit of the Monkeys,” said Nku, still thinking up something to say.
He blew another cloud of smoke and sniffed. “What is our stand now?” he asked, a bit tensed.
“We are making faster money by selling the software out rightly. Fifty million dollars has put the world in our pockets already.”
Agu stood to his feet to take his leave. “I have nothing to say.”
As Agu left, Ferguson walked in, sipping from his cup of coffee. “What’ s up, dude? What has he come to say?”
“They feel cheated. But I don’t care.”
“Neither do I,” replied Ferguson. He had a sip and slid out a cigar from his pocket. We considered them, didn’t we?”
Agu took a taxi to his house and saw that the buyer had turned it into a brothel and not for his daughter as he said. He looked up to read the name across the billboard:
KISSES LOUNGE
Could it be that the daughter is into such business or what? Oh my God, look at my only inheritance. I pray this software works out otherwise devil will host a birthday for me in hell. He said in his head.
He walked into it, straight to the bar and placed his order of a beer and a cigar. The whole place was into facelift now; the swimming pool at the garage; and the other end open to a green shade of carpet grass. He looked around and saw a light skin lady across the reception ordering all the servants. But the way at which they went about it awed him. They were fast and furious, running around to put things in order, to bring out these drinks and fix tables and chairs.
Is the president around or what?
He looked around again and saw a man just walked in from the pool. The man looked familiar. He had seen him before.
Is that not the Chinese billionaire that Nku introduced as the software buyer? He must be lodging here I guess, he said in his head.
The Chinese billionaire sat as his entourage wiped his body and placed a dried towel across his neck. One of them picked a wine and uncorked it while the other placed a cigar in his mouth and lit it for him. He raised his hand and the servants ran across, brought their ears close and rushed away. Soon they came back with more orders.
I must meet this man. He said in his head and stood up to advance. Breaking through his entourage was his problem and the thought of it scared him. He sure wanted to meet with him and reasons not known yet.
On getting to his spot, his entourage stopped him and he managed to peep across their heads, his eyes and that of Mr. Ziu met.
He spoke Chinese, “Let him be.” His soft, tender voice was obeyed quickly and Agu walked through.
“May I sit?” inquired Agu.
“Yes sit.” Mr. Ziu pointed to the seat in front.
“My name is Agu. I am American. I am an ICT enthusiast.” He thought how to lie correctly and he tried. “I have been following you on all your social media platforms and I have come to appreciate your love for ICT, sir,” he said with a wide smile.
And Mr. Ziu smiled back. “Ok. I am Mr. Ziu, as you already know, a Chinese ICT investor…”
The night fell and Agu was on his way home, wondering as he looked at the complimentary card Mr. Ziu gave him. The billionaire booked an appointment with him when his business associate came by, and Agu’s impatience for the appointment had started growing already.
When he reached home and approached the door, he overheard a moan coming from around the window. It was a deep throat moan. As more of it disturbed him, he went straight to the window and fed his eyes; Opula was astride Azuaka Jnr. in bed, twisting her waist, her naked beefy buttocks clapping each other as she pounded him. With his large palms, he squeezed her breast, traced through to her buttocks and turned her over. Gradually, he dug into her vagina and bent over to suck her breasts.
