Chapter 1487
Chapter 1487
Molly didn't waste any more time trying to persuade Kara to cooperate. Instead, she gave a signal to Alioth.
Taking the hint, the latter immediately came over and dragged Kara to the treatment bed.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!"
Kara screamed and struggled.
Alioth had her under control. Just to be safe, Molly injected her with a sedative.novelxo
Soon, Kara was quiet and unconscious.
Just then, Selon entered the room and glanced at the unconscious woman, and asked, "Joye, what's our next move?"
Molly's brow furrowed. She replied solemnly, "The most important thing now is to find out what the second kind of venomous insect is in her body."
"Right."
Selon nodded in agreement.
"Let's check her overall body condition first and then analyze Eaton's medicine to see if there's an antidote."
Molly turned to Sean. "Get the answer from Eaton's mouth by force if necessary."
"I know."
Seeing that she might get busy in a moment, Sean hugged her and said softly, "Go ahead with what you have to do. If you need anything, just tell me."
Molly smiled. "I will."
After Sean left, Selon offered to help, saying, "I'll assist you. Luckily, I don't have to go to the research base today."
"Great."
Molly raised her eyebrows. "Your help is much needed." ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
The two of them smiled at each other before dividing the work. One started to examine Kara while the other began testing the drugs.
The treatment room was silent, except for the sound of the running machines.
Molly drew Kara's blood and conducted various lab tests. While waiting for the results, she also conducted other physical examinations.
Selon tested the potions that Molly had brought, analyzing their contents thoroughly.
After completing their respective tasks, Molly stretched her back and turned to look at Kara on the treatment bed. She recalled the symptoms of the venomous insect attack that Kara had mentioned earlier.
After thinking for a moment, Molly went out of the treatment room and called Mr. Ballard.
As soon as the line went through, the old man asked, "Is anything wrong?"
Molly hummed, saying, "I've checked Kara's health condition, and although I'm still waiting for the results, there's something I need to tell you first."
"What is it?"
"Kara said that the second kind of venomous insect in her body will eat away at her flesh and blood, and over time, it may even consume her completely."
Just repeating what Kara had said sent shivers down Molly’s spine.
Mr. Ballard listened and fell into silence.
"Is there any way to identify this type of venomous insect?" Molly asked anxiously.
Mr. Ballard let out a light sigh. "I'll look up as soon as possible and let you know. But be prepared, if this venomous insect is as serious as she says, it could be very difficult to deal with."
"I know. But we still need to find out... Thank you."
Molly's tone was gloomy.
The old man hung up the phone without another word.
Just then, Sean entered the room.
"Alkaid has brought food. Take a break and have lunch first."
He then asked with concern, "Tired?"
"No."
Molly shook her head, "It's much easier than my previous research."
Sean took her hand. "Still, you should take a rest."
"I know."
Molly smiled and called Selon over to have lunch together.
Molly asked about the results of the drug tests.
Selon pondered for a moment before replying, "I haven't been able to identify the drug yet, but there are some ingredients that seem to be unique to the research base."
