Can you really provide it?
As per Letta’s earlier request to Desi, Desi had already arranged for a servant who now accompanied Letta for a stroll around the house she had just moved into for the first time.
“If you feel tired, just let me know, so I can escort Madam back to her room,” said Ayu, causing Letta to turn towards her with a smile.
“I’m sure I can manage to roam around this house. It’s only been five minutes since we started walking, right?” Letta replied, causing Ayu to smile awkwardly.
“But earlier, Desi mentioned that you shouldn’t exert yourself too much. It was the master’s order,” Ayu said, making Letta smile.
“I know you would all obey Marco’s orders. But don’t worry, you don’t need to be afraid because this is my own request. If Marco gets angry, just tell me. After all, I’m the one who forced you. Besides, I’m not as weak as you all imagine. Marco is the one who thinks I’m exaggerating,” Letta said, leaving Ayu with no room for rebuttal. After all, this was also Letta’s request.
Eventually, they arrived at the backyard where there was a spacious garden with a clear swimming pool. Letta immediately smiled upon seeing the pool. She stretched out her arms and turned to look towards her room window. She had previously seen the pool from her room.
“Indeed, when seen directly like this, the swimming pool is truly spacious,” Letta said, causing Ayu to nod.
“I feel like swimming, but of course, I can’t because I don’t have a swimsuit,” Letta said, prompting Ayu to approach her again.
“If Madam wishes, I will talk to Desi, and she will arrange a swimsuit for you,” Ayu said, making Letta look at her enthusiastically.
“Can you really provide it?” Letta asked, making Ayu nod.
“Yes, of course, because the Master has also ordered that anything Madam asks for must be provided,” Ayu said, causing Letta to ponder. Would Marco also grant her request to leave this house? However, the next moment, Letta shook her head. Of course, that was one of the prohibitions Marco had imposed on her, and the service would certainly comply with it.
“It seems that next time I would like to try swimming. For now, I just want to wander around,” Letta said, stepping forward once again. Letta had entered room after room in the large house. She didn’t even bother counting how many rooms were there, the other spaces, and even the library. This made Letta think that it wasn’t too bad to live in that house, as the facilities could be considered quite comprehensive.
Eventually, Ayu intended to lead Letta to turn around, ending their house tour for the time being. However, her steps halted when she noticed a corridor adorned with several pillars stretching from the room they were in to the backyard. There, it seemed like there was another separate room, causing Letta to furrow her brows.
“We haven’t been there yet,” Letta said, making Ayu immediately shake her head.
“That room is off-limits to us, I mean, to anyone other than the master,” Ayu said, making Letta even more curious.
“What’s in there, then?” Letta asked.
“I’m not quite sure, Madam, as I haven’t been there either. But, according to the rumors circulating in this house, there are precious antiques cherished by the Master. So, not just anyone is allowed to touch them; only Desi is allowed to clean that place twice a week,” Ayu said, finally making Letta nod. After all, she didn’t want to get too involved in Marco’s affairs. Although the curiosity still lingered, the best course of action for now was to ignore it, Letta thought.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
“Ayu, thank you for accompanying me. You must be tired, right?” Letta said, making Ayu shake her head.
“Not at all, Madam. If you need anything, just call me,” Ayu said, making Letta smile again.
“You can go back to your work. I’ll rest,” Letta said, making Ayu finally choose to continue her duties, while Letta turned back towards her room. Letta stretched her hand, and her smile bloomed again. At least the atmosphere in her room could make her feel a little bit happier. Letta immediately lay down on the bed, gazing at the ceiling with its beautiful ornaments, making Letta smile.
Letta began to wonder if she would be confined in this gilded cage forever. Then, what about her once she gave birth to the fetus she was carrying, the child conceived between her and Marco? Would Marco take this child and abandon it, Letta thought as she caressed her flat stomach. Letta realized she should have had a plan before accepting the marriage that they were to undertake in a few days.
Letta immediately woke up and walked towards the wardrobe, where the provided reading books were neatly arranged. There were also notebooks and other stationery, prompting Letta to try to think. It seemed she needed to establish some prenuptial agreements for them. Letta didn’t want this marriage to solely benefit Marco.
Letta also didn’t want herself to be unprepared for starting her new life. Letta didn’t know Marco before, even though recently she had been worrying about him, but it might not be the same in the future, especially considering Marco’s behavior now solely because there was a baby she was carrying. It would be different once the baby was born, Letta thought. Letta began jotting down one by one what was on her mind. She would discuss it with Marco.
She didn’t know how long she had been jotting down the important points Letta wanted Marco to agree to until her movement halted when her phone rang. Letta shifted her gaze towards the sound before getting up from her seat and approaching the phone. However, what made Letta freeze was seeing Abian’s name on the screen. Her heart raced once more, leaving Letta unsure of what Abian would say. Would he scold her and vent all his frustration, Letta wondered, resigning herself to whatever Abian would say to her.
Eventually, Letta tried to take a long breath before answering Abian’s call. Letta shouldn’t be surprised by whatever Abian was going to convey. After all, who would feel okay being abruptly ended without knowing the clear reasons and faults between them? Especially now, Abian might have learned the cause from Mia, Letta thought.
