Daniella immediately denied it, saying, “That’s not what I mean, Casey!”

“Isn’t it?” Casey adjusted his glasses, and his eyes looked gloomy. “Tell me why you waited for me until this hour.”

Daniella touched Casey’s chest with a shaky hand, explaining, I just want to do it once…”

Casey glanced around and asked, “Do you want to find excitement in the yard?”

Gritting her teeth, Daniella replied, “Yes!”

“Alright, I’ll Casey assured.

Meanwhile, Evan had successfully accessed the iris and facial recognition system.

After opening the door, he instructed someone to install the monitoring device properly before asking Tyler to delete his information.

As Evan returned the children to their room, he briefly glanced at the door. He thought he heard a faint voice, but it quickly disappeared. He ignored it and went to sleep with the children.

The next morning, he planned to go home with Axel and Tyler.

However, Draco stopped him before he left, asking tentatively, “Why did you come back last night?”

Evan was about to respond, but Axel beat him to it, explaining. “It was me who wanted to come, Grandpa.”

Surprised, Draco smiled and asked, “Did you miss me?”

Tyler chimed in to support the story, “He watched a documentary a few days ago that taught him to care more about the elderly at home. That’s why we came.”

The elderly at home…‘

Dazed, Draco wondered if he was truly that old now. But It was true–the villa would be cold and desolate if the two children didn’t come.

Looking at Evan, Draco suggested, “Bring that girl here next time you come.”

However, Evan didn’t respond and left the villa while holding the children’s hands.

After getting into the car, he immediately called Caroline, who picked up promptly.

Caroline asked, “How did it go last night?”

Evan asked with an intrigued tone, “Are you concerned about me or the kids?”

Evan’s tone signaled to Caroline that nothing had gone wrong the previous night. She brushed off his teasing and said, “I’m busy. Goodbye.”

Caroline hung up, leaving Evan staring at his phone with a slight twitch in the corner of his eye. He wondered why she was so ungrateful.

Unable to accept it, he called her again.

Caroline quickly picked up and said, “I’m really busy, Mr. Jordan.”

Getting to the point, Evan reported. “They didn’t find out about the kids, although there was a minor incident. But overall, everything went smoothly.”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

He was very pleased with how well the two children had behaved. He also felt grateful to Caroline for raising them so well despite her busy schedule. He believed he should do something for her.

“I’m glad to hear that. Please drive the kids to school later. I’m hanging up now.”

“Okay,” Evan said. Then he looked at Reuben and asked, “Who has Casey been dining with recently?”

Reuben replied, “He’s been busy due to the project you interrupted. He’s been treating the city project team to dinner and indulging in booze with them daily. I even heard he borrowed a few million dollars to buy new materials for reconstruction. He’s very dedicated to this project.”

“Is Albert Jenkins leading the city project team?” Evan inquired.

Reuben nodded. “Yes, Mr. Jordan.”

“Go to the winery and fetch two bottles for him. Mention Casey to him, and he’ll understand what to do,”

Evan instructed.

“Alright,” Reuben acknowledged.

After dropping Tyler off at school, Evan returned Axel to Villa Rosa before heading to the company. As he entered his office, he found two people preparing coffee.
