The Rebirth of a Scorned Heiress

She’s not as simple as she looks

“She’s trending again. Are you sure it’s a good idea to leave her on your team? Bad media is not good for you or the company you know. Those rivals are always watching, looking for a way to bring others down, and we can’t afford to behave badly,” Mrs. William voiced exasperatedly as she spoke to Celina over the phone the following morning.

“Mom, she did not do any of those things!” Celina argued, “You know she didn’t do it, and I believe you, Lina. But the internet is different. They believe everything they see, and even when you eventually clear your name, it’s not the same because there are people who choose to believe the bad things about others,” Mrs. Williams explained, and Celina sighed.

“Even then we can’t just change teammates in the middle of the show; that shows unprofessionalism, and then we drop her and her name is cleared, then what? Would we apologise to her? Come on, Mom, you know whether we get involved or not, those hyenas would find something to claw in and make it big anyway,” Celina explained, and her mother sighed.

“Fine, I will inform the PR department to do the necessary thing and shut down the rumours. And tell her to be careful these days to avoid the media swarming around her to make things even more difficult,” Mrs. Williams instructed.

“For now, she’s asking the PR department to stay out of it. She had a way to handle it,” Celina voiced. “Don’t tell me she’s trying to handle this case like she did the first one. It doesn’t always work; if she does that kind of thing, it will only get her in more trouble! We are dealing with those unreasonable Thompsons right now, not some low-grade nobles like the Smiths!” Mrs. Williams exclaimed, feeling frustrated about her daughter’s thoughtless decisions in recent times.

“Mom, did you somehow forget that she had the Watson’s group gold card? She had the capital With that and the right connections, getting this matter solved is something small. Just give her a few days, and it will get settled. By that time, if it does, then we will take action.”

“I don’t understand why you are so supportive of her. You’ve only known her for a few days, and you are already this trusting. I hope this won’t be another one of your failed attempts to have true friends,” Mrs. Williams breathed out.

“I have my reasons, and no, I don’t consider her my friend; she has something that I want and that I think will benefit the company, so trust me, alright?” As she was talking, the door flung open, and Avon skipped in with his phone in hand.

“Have you seen Lily this morning?” Avon asked, unable to hide the excitement in his voice as he spoke while looking around the room. “She went out early, saying she was going for a walk. Is there a problem?” Celina asked curiously, and Avon shook his head and then gave a nod.

“No, yes, but not for us. The hacker she employed works wonders! Did you see this?” He asked as he shoved the phone in Celina’s face. “They were able to gather enough evidence in just a couple of hours! Even the ones that Evie was involved in previously!” He exclaimed.

Celina gaped at the phone as she read the post made by an anonymous account. The more she read, the more excited she became. The post had photo evidence of Evie meeting up with Melissa and her mother and also screenshots of their conversation, including the ones from Evie’s other plot.

“Damn, what expert did she get to work for her? If Lam’s PR had gotten involved, they would not have been able to do it this big.” She exclaimed. Mrs. Williams, who had been listening to their conversation, could not help but be curious as to what they were talking about. She picked up her phone and went to the internet, and she immediately noticed that Evie’s scandal had made it to the top of the trending topic.

It was a post tagged. #WHY DO MISS EVIE THOMPSON’S OPPONENTS ALWAYS HAVE THEIR SCANDAL EXPOSED DURING A COMPETITION?#

Just a concerned citizen: Hello! People. I’m sure you were attracted by the heading of the post! I would too if I were in your shoes. At least if you are a curious one like me.

Have you ever wondered why, during every competition, Miss Evie Thompson, the hailed genius in the fashion world of the junior generation, participates, her most threatening rival always has a scandal to expose?

I mean, the scandal always just pops out from nowhere during the competition. It first happened during her debut competition with Frey three years ago. If you were following, you would all know Frey was accused of plagiarism, which was later proven to be false, but at the time he had already been disqualified, which gave Evie a straight push to being a winner.

We were all suspicious, but we had no evidence, so we let it go.

After that, we had Penny, Christie, and some others, and now we have Lily, a young designer who has shown impressive talent since the show began.

Is nobody noticing that history keeps repeating itself?

Is no one concerned that we are all celebrating the wrong person?

I am! And so I did my research!

I can no longer turn a blind eye to the doings of those hailed as talents while the real talents get pushed into the shadows!

This is some of the evidence that Evie was directly involved in all those scandals! I can’t bring the whole Thompson family into it, but surely they know what their daughter is capable of, don’t they?

These are a few of the pieces of evidence I was able to gather, and I promise you, they are 100 per cent real! You can have someone check it out!

And if Miss Evie or the Thompson tries to threaten me, I hope you are ready to bathe in the same pool to give to others!

#Justice for Those That Have Been Falsely Accused by Evie Thompson! The undeserving genius is crowned genius!#

Just a concerned citizen: By any chance, did you also notice that the lady Miss Evie met up with is none other than the other lady who had plotted against Lily in the recent post on the fashion circle? The one who posted that obvious fake apology. All this would show you not to believe everything you see on the internet!

I did a little research on Merissa Smith also; let’s just say I’m patiently waiting to expose her dirty laundry during the nationals! The participant list is already out, and it can no longer be changed again. I’m waiting to see your ‘Skill’ up there!Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

P. S. If you are not comfortable with my post, you can come find me! I’m at home!

“Ma’am, we have run it through and found out that all the evidence is 100 per cent real; none of it was forged,” Henry reported to Mrs. William after getting the pictures checked.

Surprise flashed through her pretty amber eyes as she heard his words, “Then did you find the trail of the one who posted it? We need to contact them for more evidence; maybe we will get one big enough to pull down the image those bastards Thompson had built,” she asked with a hopeful expression, and Henry shook his head.

“We could not get their precise location. Every time it refreshes, it leads us to several different locations in different cities. There is no way one could travel that fast, which means the post was made by a top hacker,” Henry explained, and Mrs. Williams nodded.

“Employ some keyboard warriors to blow up the post; make sure it gets big enough to affect the Thompsons, not just their daughter. And send these photos to Mark; if it is him, he should be able to find ways to contact the hacker,” she instructed, dismissing him.

As Henry walked out of the office, Mrs. Williams picked up the phone and read through the post again with a complicated expression as she muttered, I need to warn Celina to be careful of this girl. “She’s not as simple as she looks.”
