The President Broken Angel

Jhoni-ni

“Let’s go!!!” He yelled and she got out of the car and walked over to him stopping herself half way.

“What is happening? Why are we running away?” Jhonia asked? Her voice softened and trembled.

“Let’s talk in the morning… For now, let’s get some rest!” Dave said to her, he walked away but she stood still. At ease but still confused!

“I’m not moving a foot unless you start talking!” Jhonia said to him, Pointing at the motel and where she stood!

“Not one single step!” She added!

“Fine.” Dave said, dropping the bags and walked back over to her.

“Dad is trying to sell you into marriage so he can pay off those men claiming to be the people your parents owned!” Dave yelled out telling her everything he now knows of. He stopped half way he was so angry the veins in his neck stood out! The faint lights of the motel allow them to see each other clearly a little bit. Jhonia stood staring at him.

“We are here because I don’t want this for you! So both your parents are gone, and you’re poor, but your family and family protects each other Jhonia not selling them for money or exchanging them for anything, anything at all..” Dave said, explaining that even though her parents are and she’s poor, family is family and they protect each other. Jhonia smiled and walked over to him. He was confused as to why she was smiling?

“What’s wrong with you? Did you not hear me? Why are you smiling?” Dave asked three questions in a row?

“I’m fine. And I heard you clearly. I’m Smiling because all this time you’re the only person who made me feel at ease with my parents gone.” Jhonia responds to him saying, and explains how it was always him who made her feel at ease. She reached up to him and hugged him, caressing his back and relaxing herself into his arms.

“Families stick together. Even though I know I can’t change it! I have decided to face it.” Jhonia said to him while she was still hugging onto him with care, her eyes filled with tears. She chuckled and pulled back from him.

“This is my destiny. You don’t have to return but I do for my parents sake.” Jhonia said to him and added that she has to return.

“No! Jhonia! Your parents were killed and their case was closed because someone paid them off to do so. Think about it, there was never a real investigation.” Dave said, disagreeung with her, he reminded that her parents’ case was closed but isn’t fishy he asked her to think about it.

“I know! Even so I can’t run away from what they started. But I can be prepared! Let’s rest here for the night. I have to leave early to pick up some paperwork.” Jhonia says to him and tells him she is aware of it but she also has to face it. She walked over to the bags picking them up! Dave rushed over to take them from her.

“Let me! What kind of paperwork are you referring to?” Dave said, taking the bags from her and then he asked her, as they walked to their booked room for the night.

“I often wondered why those people never came to find me, earlier? I met someone and asked him to write me a paid form after they signed it. I will no longer owe anyone, and neither will parents. Not even your dad!” Jhonia said, explaining in question. She then tells him what kind of paperworks she has to pick up.

Dave shaked his head in agreement. They went to the room but Jhonia could not sleep so she watched Dave sleep instead! She went out to get pen and paper. She returned and he was still asleep! Which was good for her. She left a note.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m willing, even though I am being sold into this contract marriage, maybe, it will be for the best.” Jhonia wrote down telling him. She looked at him sleeping on the bed! While she’s seated around the small table writing.

“Paying them is for my parents, they’re both gone and yes I’m poor, but this contract marriage is going to change that.” Jhonia writes down, in tears.

“For my parents and for myself! I decided to go back without you, stay safe and goodbye for now.” Jhonia wrote down the last words and left the pen on the paper. She got up from the table and walked over to him while he slept!

“I’m sorry, cousin. I’m grateful for you and for trying to protect me. I’m a big girl now, I will protect myself.” Jhonia said, then she sat beside him watching as time went on. Hours turned into dawn and she left him to sleep. She tried to get a drive to take her back but didn’t get any on the 1th to 5th attempt! She walked for some time and after trying again someone picked her up!

“Thank you, mister.” She said to the man who is the driver.

“Should I take you away?” He asked looking back at her.

“You’re very pretty, why are you out there alone?” He asked once he got a good look at her.

“I’m just trying to be friendly.” He suddenly stopped and turned into his seat looking back at her. Jhonia looked up at him but he was bearded and wearing glasses.

“I would say you’re handsome but I can’t say for sure. I had trouble and my cousin was taking me away from it but I can’t do that for the sake of the death of my parents.” Jhonia said, mocking his beard face. She explained briefly and he turned around into his seat.

“I’m sorry. I know it won’t make it better, I have both my parents so I would not know how that feels. My name is Kyhe, what is yours?” He apologized to her and said then he gave her his name, trying to change the subject.

“Jhoni-ni. J h o n i – n i. I don’t intend to talk with you! Also, thanks for offering me a drive.” Jhonia tells him her nickname and spells it for him, she then says thanks to him before turning her face to the window. She inhales and exhales deeply.

“Okay, Ms Jhoni-ni.” Kyhe responded to her! This was their first interaction. Jhonia, was too much in her head thinking about what Dave told her! She wants to run back to it instead of running away from it.

Hours later!

“Where to, Ms. Jhoni-ni?” Kyhe asked but when he didn’t receive a response he turned and realized she was sleeping. He reached over and took her bag searching for it. Find a male I’D card.

“Dave Bryane Lindow?” He asked himself out loud looking at her!

“This must be her cousin.” He said, as he chuckled and turned, taking her to the address. Which he had no idea where to… To be exact. After an hour more of driving he arrived at the supermarket Jhonia worked at and he stopped by to buy stuff for her and himself! He returned and she was gone. He saw a note in his car.

“Thank you, note I have reached my destination.” Kyhe chuckled and stepped out of the car looking around but didn’t see her.

“She arrives at her destination. Hmm? Ms Jhoni-ni, I do hope we meet again. You have piqued my interest.” Kyhe said, getting back into his car and starting it before driving away.

“Hello! Dr. Doctor, do you know Dave Lindow lives at XXXETC. Address?” Kyhe asked? Over the phone! He stopped at the intersection.

“No! Who is that? And why do you ask?” The doctor responded and asked. Kyhe forgot to use the middle name.

“Do you know a female name J h o n i – n i.?” Kyhe asked Spelling out her name.

“No, who is he or she?” The doctor responded and then asked as he was now curious about his trip and why he was at that part of the city to begin with?

“I meet her by accident… Haha! My dear friend Doctor, she piqued my interest also. She was asleep in my car. I gave her a lift but I made a stop and she vanished.” Kyhe explains and a moment after he laughs and tells the doctor, then tells how she made him curious but suddenly vanished.

“By chance did you pick up a ghost?” The doctor asked? And began laughing!

“A pretty young, hot, and good looking ghost! She even left a note thanking me.” Kyhe said smiling as he explained his picked up ghost.

“Let’s talk when you return.” The doctor said to him.

“Hmm.” Kyhe agreed and hung up!
