The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family

Charlie's cold command made Christian's heart sink.

Growing up, Merlin was Christian's best friend. Yet, his best friend died today because of his family. Even then, Christian couldn't even tell Merlin's family about his death. How could Christian accept it?

However, Christian was not a naive child, and neither was he a fool. He knew the current situation was completely out of his hands.

He was blessed to have survived the calamity. What more could he ask for?

The only thing he could do after today's events was to make it up to Merlin's family.

Christian nodded obediently. "Thank you. I understand. I'll do as you say!"

Charlie used this indisputable tone to stop Christian from entertaining any other thoughts. He made Christian act as per his wish.

He was glad to see that Christian had accepted the reality, and so, he simply closed the door as he left.

Then, he took out his cell phone and called Porter as he walked to the elevator.

When the phone connected, Porter's voice came through. "Mr. Wade, how can I help?"

Charlie said, "Porter, send all the soldiers who stayed in New York to Miss Golding's concert venue. More than 20 armed men came to assassinate the Acker family just now. I've killed all of them, but I need you to help me deal with the bodies." Porter was horrified to hear that. "Mr.

Wade, are you alright?!"

"I'm alright," Charlie replied indifferently." But there are too many corpses. It's a lot of work for one person to handle."

Porter's reply was instant. "I'll bring my men right now!"

Charlie grew curious. "But you haven't left New York yet?"

Porter explained, "I'm not, but there's

an equipment dealer in New York who I've been working with for years. I'm going to purchase a bunch of heavy equipment and ship them to Syria." en

Then, Porter quickly added, "Mr. Wade, most of the Ten Thousand Armies armies left for Syria this morning We only have a dozen men on hand. Is that enough?" "It's fine," Charlie said indifferently. "I'll have Kathleen send some men over as well. She's a local, so staffing shouldn't be a problem."

Porter breathed a sigh of relief. "That's great. Okay, Mr. Wade, please wait for a moment. TH be right over."

As Charlie spoke, he approached Merlin's body. He hung up, took off his jacket, and put it over Merlin's body. Then, he transferred some Reiki into Merlin's body to maintain the latter's current state.

After that, he picked up his phone and called Kathleen.

The call connected almost immediately. Kathleen greeted him, though she sounded a little surprised. "Mr. Wade!" "It's me," Charlie said. "Miss Fox, I need your help." When Kathleen heard Charlie say he needed her help, she didn't hesitate and answered immediately, "Please let me know what it is, Mr. Wade. I'll do whatever I can!" Charlie said, "I'm in Miss Golding's concert venue. I've got a little situation here, and I need you to bring enough people to block off the entire VIP entrance." Kathleen agreed unhesitatingly, "No problem, Mr. Wade. I'm close by. I'll bring someone immediately!"

When Charlie's phone call with Kathleen ended, Quinn's concert finally officially began.
