Chapter 21
Chapter 21
Admirable, although angering him was tantamount to courting death.
With a belly full of anger, William was forced to give up tracking. He paused for a moment before he
finally clicked on the video sent by the hacker.
The video only lasted for a minute, but it was enough to make him furious.
The video clip depicted a man seizing a small child by his shirt before tossing the poor child off a cliff
over the railings.
The man’s movement was smooth and fast, without any hint of scruples or compa**ion.
The surveillance camera was too far away to see the person’s face clearly, but William recognized at
first glance that the child who had been thrown off the cliff was wearing the same clothes as Lucian.
He was so shocked that his hands couldn’t help trembling. He quickly paused the video clip and used a
software to run a quick facial recognition analysis.
The answer came soon enough. The child that was thrown off really was Lucian. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
The murderer was Damian Clarke, a member of the Clarke and the very same person as reported by
Marshall to have gotten missing at the same time with Lucian from the graveyard.
The conclusion sparked a flame of rage within William that was ready to erupt.
To think that someone has the reckless courage to harm the life of his son right under his nose!
“Gianna Clarke, eh? And the rest of you Clarkes! I see!
“I had really committed the mistake of underestimating her!”
Rage and choler filled William’s deep eyes. “Marshall!” he summoned.
“Sir,” Marshall responded. He had been outside, fighting away the lethargy after standing guard just
outside the study because he knew William would be staying up and he wanted to be ready.
“Where’s Gianna right now?”
“Ms. Clarke’s just been to Master Ezra’s room, sir, although she was only there for a short time. I’ve
gone inside to check but Master Ezra appears to be in a good mood. So he should be fine.”
William tossed his laptop at Marshall with the video clip of Damian Clarke seizing Lucian still playing on
its screen.
“I want this man found.”
Marshall nearly dropped the laptop when he saw the screen.
“So it’s this scoundrel who had harmed the life of Master Lucian! This fool must have a deathwish!”
At five in the morning, the Kinsmans cavalcade revved down the main avenues of Melburgh, a
leviathan serpentining through the streets with the rumbles that mirrored the groaning thunder from
overhead as a heavy downpour showered down.
At the same time, inside an unremarkable dwelling at the Fifth Ring Road of the city.
Clad in a body-hugging leather jacket and a pair of Dr. Martens boots, Olivia stormed the house alone.
She headed straight to the bedroom where she found her target and grabbed the sleeping man by the
hair.
She dragged the man to the living hall and smashed him into the gla** coffee table. Countless shards
pierced into the man’s back through his flesh and the pain could almost kill him.
Damian ignored the pain and reached for the switch of the table lamp nearby. With a click, the living
hall blazed to life.
Finally, he managed to take a good look at the intruder.
A masked woman clad in form-fitting leather outfit!
With choler and anger she had come.
With pain stinging all over him, Damian involuntarily pushed himself backward with panic.
“Who the hell are you?! What do you want?!”
Damian eyed the masked Olivia warily, thinking of finding ways to escape, but the latter quickly
guessed his mind.
“I want you dead!” Olivia pounced forward and drove her knee into Damian before he could fully get to
his feet. Next, she planted her foot straight into his chest and kept him pinned down.
The sudden hit caused Damian to expel a mouthful of blood out of his mouth. His face turned pallid-
white.
“Who sent you? I don’t even have a beef with you! Why do you want to kill me?!” Damian cried. He
could barely breathe with the foot crushing down on his lungs. He groped at it feebly, despite lacking
the strength to even move it away.
15:40
Olivia ignored the question. Instead, she powered on a pocket recorder and aimed it at him before she
demanded/”Who ordered you to throw Lucian Kinsman off the cliff?”
“What Lucian Kinsman?! As if I’d harm the precious son of the powerful and wealthy Kinsman!?”
“Ah!”
Damian barely finished before another kick went straight into his gut and he shrieked with agony.
“Wrong answer. Last chance,” Olivia said, peering at him with the same indifference and frostiness as
shew would with at cadaver.
“Mr. Kinsman sent you?! Is that it?!” Damian’s eyes registered terror and fear.
“You don’t need to know who sent me. Tell me who was the mastermind of the plot or you’ll die a most
painful death.”
“Lucian Kinsman is alive and well! I did nothing and there’s no mastermind! If you just wanna kill me
then just get on with it!”
Damian gave up struggling and remained motionless as if he was ready to die.
