I would’ve never guessed that Carmella would bring this up now. Caught off guard, I sit up and she gets off my chest, sitting up with me.
“Why wouldn’t you want to start having bables now?” I’m not even able to look at her as I wish things could be different for us.
Gently, she runs her hand down my arm and rests her chin on my shoulder. “We already plan on being a family anyway, so why not start now? I want our kids running around the apartment.”
Then, she places her hand on my chin so I can look to the side and meet her gaze, but I don’t do it right away, and it’s because I’m now thinking about Vanessa and the family we need to have.
Since Carmella doesn’t know about it yet, I can’t tell her that it’s the reason she and I shouldn’t be having kids, so I think of something else, finally looking to the side..
“Why do you want to have kids when you don’t even care about them?”
She drops her hands from me with an eye roll. “Babe, that’s different and you know it. The kids you’re talking about aren’t mine.”
“They don’t have to be yours before you can care about them. Besides, I don’t want to start a family with you now.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Her voice is harsh as she glares at me.
“Relax, I only want to start a family with you after we get married.”
Her face brightens up and she wraps her arms around my neck. “Then I’ll wait for that time to come. Just don’t make me wait too long.”
“It’ll be soon. I promise.”
I know I’m lying to her, but for now, it’s for the best
Slowly, she starts fondling my dick and I groan softly as it begins to harden.
“If we keep doing this, we’ll be late to the part.” I smirk at her.,
“We can always be a little late.” She chuckles softly. “By the way, will that bitch be there?”
“No.”
“Great, then I’ll have you all to myself.”
“Don’t forget that we still need to be careful and not be seen so close together. Frank’s invited quite a number of people.”
“As long as that bitch isn’t around, I’ll have a blast with you.”
The fact that I’ve lied to her about starting a family soon, lingers on my mind and not even fucking her again helps me forget.
Afterv
we shower together, I step out of the bathroom first as she arranges her products in order.

I’m wrapped in a towel on my bottom half as I pat my body dry with another one.
Just as I approach the mirror, her phone rings on the table close to me, so I get closer. The caller ID shows no name as it’s only a phone
number.
“Babe, your phone’s ringing.”
“Who is it?” she asks from inside the bathroom.
“I don’t know. It’s just a number.”
“Just a minute!”
She steps out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel and I pick up her phone from the table, then extend my hand so I can give it to her.

soon as her eyes land on the screen, they widen a little and she snatches the phone from my hand, then declines the call with a harsh press of her thumb.
“Why didn’t you pick up?” I suspiciously narrow my eyes.
“She’s my aunt, some distant relation of mine. Ugh! She keeps calling to ask for money. I didn’t even bother to save her number, but I know it by heart.”
“If you don’t ever plan on picking up, why not just block the number?”
“Look, it doesn’t matter. Forget about my annoying aunt. Eventually, she’ll realize that I don’t want to talk to her.”
Not convinced, I refuse to let it go. “It still doesn’t make sense that
“Babe,” she cuts me off, kissing me on the lips. “Let’s just get ready and go to the party, hmm?”
Just then, my phone rings and it’s Frank. People have already started arriving.
Forgetting about Carmella’s aunt, we both get ready and head to the party in separate cars.
Frank went all out for this party hosted at one of his nightclubs. The lighting is more spectacular than usual and because we have the same music taste, his playlist is so similar to what I was hoping for,
As much as I want to sit with Carmella, touch her and kiss her, I can’t. There are so many people here. She’s sitting with a group of ladies but keeps teasing me by subtly grinding in her seat. I can’t help but bite my lip.
“Dude,” Frank says, smacking my shoulder so I look back at him.
“What is it?”
“I know she’s yours, but stop making it too obvious. Unless you want everyone to take videos and pictures of you doing it and posting it all on
social media.”
“Fine.”
I face him with my entire body, taking a sip from the whiskey on our table.
“You know, I’m still shocked that you came here with Carmella and not Vanessa.”
“Why won’t you just let it go?” I sigh, shaking my head at him.

“I’ll let it go once you tell me why Vanessa’s not with you.”
“She didn’t want to come because it’s that time of the month.”
“And you left her alone?” His jaw drops.
“Yeah”

“Shouldn’t you be taking care of her?”
“It’s not like she’s dying or some shit like that.”
I were you, I’d be constantly checking on her and making sure she gets everything she needs.”
“And that’s why you’re not me. Even if I did what you’ve just said, it’s impossible because she doesn’t want anyone close to her.”
“That doesn’t matter. You should still be there with her. What if your parents call her or something?”
“She plans to keep her phone off at most times. She doesn’t want to talk to anyone. Relax, everyone thinks she’s here with me and that’s all that matters. Most importantly, no one from my family is coming here. They’re all busy with something. That’s what they told me.”
“I see, but I would’ve loved to see her.” He strokes his chin with a smirk.
I don’t like his gestures, and it makes me narrow my eyes at him.
“Stop thinking about Vanessa. I already warned you about this.”
“Relax, it was just a thought I had.” He chuckles.
It doesnt matter. Don’t think about her.”
“Ooh, getting possessive now. I see.”
“I’m not getting possessive.”
“Then what are you doing right now?”
“It doesn’t matter. Enough about her. Aren’t you curious about Project J 227”
rofit,
“Of course I am. I know you told me part of it, now give me all the details. Will you fully be working on it now?”
“Yes, I’ll be busier than ever before and that’s exactly what I need. My father already introduced me formally to the board of directors in the company. It was such a glorious moment.”
Just as I’m about to tell him about my father wanting grandchildren before I can take over, his eyes widen as he looks behind me.
Curious, I say, “What’s wrong?”
“You were tog
too confident that there would be no family here,” he whispers to me. “You’re screwed!‘
Wondering what’s going on, I look beland me and instantly panic. Shit: What’s Jake doing here?
