The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold)

Chapter 1072

Chapter 1072

"Aurelia, what are you getting at? Spit it out," the voice demanded clarity in the tense room.

Taking her time, Aurelia began, "Joyce was Fredric's fiancée. They were supposed to tie the knot on

Valentine's Day. But her so-called bestie, Sheryl, ended up in Fredric's bed. Next thing you know, she's

on the set, pregnant as can be, to confront Joyce. It was a total scandal. Joyce was humiliated,

completely devastated. Sheryl got her fairy-tale wedding to Fredric, living it up in high society, while

Joyce spiraled into depression and attempted suicide. Miraculously, she survived but lived as nothing

more than a shell, a coma patient, until she passed away without ever opening her eyes again. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Sheryl snatched her best friend's man and didn't feel a smidgen of remorse. She's been smugly

reaping the rewards of her victory, scoffing at Joyce's weakness."

She was cut off by Sheryl's interjection, "I haven't done anything wrong. It was fair game. They weren't

married, and I had every right to go after the love I wanted."

Aurelia snorted, "Stealing your friend's guy behind her back and calling it fair game? You were banking

on a shotgun wedding, weren't you?"

Aunt Harriet chimed in, "Let's not dredge up the past. Sheryl may have crossed a line, but she's

married to Fredric now, and they have a family. Why rehash old wounds?"

"Yeah, it's ancient history. But Sheryl couldn't let the dead rest in peace. She had to go and scatter

Joyce's ashes to the winds." Saying so, Aurelia flipped on the projector, and a video started to play.

"This is Joyce's grave, desecrated by Sheryl just two days ago. She splashed black paint over the

tombstone, smashed the urn, and scattered Joyce's ashes in the bushes. Joyce's family was there,

weeping, picking through the underbrush, trying to gather her back up."

The room was filled with murmurs of shock.

Fredric leaped up from his chair, furious, "Sheryl, have you lost your damn mind to desecrate her

grave. Aren't you afraid of karma?"

Sheryl's face turned pale, her shoulders trembling.

She had thought the confrontation with Aurelia was the end of it, but Aurelia was set on revealing the

truth and delivering a fatal blow at the family gathering.

"It was her ghost, haunting me, making my life hell, turning you against me. I had no choice."

Aurelia's voice was filled with conviction, "You should be begging for Joyce's forgiveness. She was

young and had a bright future, but you ended it. You feel no guilt, desecrating her grave for your selfish

desires. Sheryl, if you hadn't done this, I would have stood by you, but you've let me down. You're no

longer fit to be the Stirling family's daughter-in-law."

Harriet shook her head, "Sheryl, how could you do something so vile?"

Harriet added, "You owe her, not the other way around. She's gone, and you still treat her like this? It's

too much."

Ethel spoke up, "Grave desecration is bad luck, and I don't want that kind of trouble in the Stirling

family. You should divorce Fredric, and the sooner, the better."

Sheryl burst into tears.

"I was duped by that charlatan, a so-called spiritualist. He did all this, not me. I just wanted him to deal

with Joyce's spirit, I had no idea he'd go this far."

Jessica sighed deeply. This time, even she couldn't help Sheryl.

"Sheryl, you've made your bed, now lie in it. Go divorce with Fredric this afternoon, or have your lawyer

do it if you can't face it."
