The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold)

Chapter 1058

Chapter 1058

"When's the big day, Lisbeth? When are you two thinking of making babies?" Beverley asked her tone

light and teasing.

Raines shrugged nonchalantly, "Maybe in a few years. We're really enjoying our time as a duo."

Beverley chuckled, "I thought you loved kids, Raines? You always said you wanted at least three little

munchkins. Fredric, Arnold, and Leopold have all jumped on the baby bandwagon, and you are still

without a little one."

With a sheepish smile, Raines scratched his head and admitted, "Can't really do anything about it. I

haven't been in the best of health lately. It's not exactly an ideal time to be considering having kids."

Aurelia noticed how he kept subtly emphasizing his poor health.

Raines used to be quite the robust guy, despite some lingering issues from a past head injury. After all,

he was known for his love of a good meal.

It was Geoffrey who really had the health problems. Skyler always said he was fussy with food, and

there were so many things he just wouldn't eat. So, he had to rely on vitamin shakes daily to keep up

with his nutritional needs.

Geoffrey had once nurtured 800 blood donors at AK Group, and Aurelia couldn't help but wonder if this

Raines, should he really be Geoffrey in disguise, would still be slipping away for secret transfusions.

"Leopold, why don't you set Raines up with a nutritionist to help get his health back on track," she

suggested.

"Sure thing," Leopold nodded in agreement.

Lisbeth quickly waved her hands, "No need, I'm his personal nutritionist. I'll get him back in shape."

Aurelia persisted, "Lisbeth, a professional nutritionist is still a good idea. Fredric's been out of the

woods for a while now but still feels weak. Having a specialist work with you could speed up his

recovery."

Beverley eagerly nodded, "Exactly! Raines needs a pro. He's gotten so thin that he's barely

recognizable. He must be malnourished. Lisbeth, if you really want what's best for Raines, let Leopold

arrange for a professional nutritionist to properly care for him."

Raines said, "It's not necessary to go through all that trouble. Lisbeth is all I need. I don't like dealing

with strangers, I just want some peace to focus on getting better."

"But Raines, you were a lawyer before, and dealing with strangers was part of the job, wasn't it?? How

can you suddenly not like it? How are you going to represent clients in court?" Beverley pressed.

Raines held his forehead, a look of resignation on his face, "Dealing with too many tiresome people is

exactly why I'm avoiding strangers now. I just need some tranquility."

Fredric stood up, saying, "Let's head out to the gazebo and play some bridge."

The gazebo was nestled by a charming brook, surrounded by the sweet scents of flowers and the

soothing sounds of the water. The scenery was downright picturesque.

Aurelia smiled, "Sounds perfect. Let's enjoy ourselves by the brook."

Skyler grabbed a net, leading Nina and Mira to catch fish in the shallow stream while Beverley joined in

the fun.

Aurelia, Sheryl, and Lisbeth settled on the large rocks by the stream, watching the children fish in the

clear, knee-deep water, where fish darted playfully.

Mira clumsily wielded the net, swishing it through the water as if expecting the fish to swim right in.

Sheryl sighed at Mira's ineptitude; she always seemed a step behind Nina.

"Mira, there aren't even any fish where you're splashing around. What's the use? You have to move the

net with the fish, honey!"

Mira pouted, "There were fish before, but they all swam away when I tried to catch them."

Aurelia laughed softly, "It's okay, sweetheart. Just enjoy yourself, however you want to play."

She patted Sheryl's shoulder, "Sheryl, let her be. As long as she's happy, that's all that matters.

Catching fish is secondary."

Sheryl frowned, "Haven't you noticed Mira's a bit slower than Nina?"

Aurelia shook her head, "Mira's not slow, and she's just innocent and carefree. Isn't that how children

should be?" NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

Sheryl pursed her lips, "Easy for you to say. Both your boys are clever and attend that fancy prep

school. You've got nothing to worry about."
