Chapter 1202
Chapter 1202
“Where are you going?” Amelia asked.
“I’m heading to Lommore to meet some local big shots, and while I’m there, I’ll also help my daughter deliver a gift,” Rosalie replied with a subtle smile.
That evening, Rosalie arrived at the Serton residence.
Wyatt found it somewhat surprising that Rosalie had arrived alone. “Mrs. Youngblood, it is quite unusual for you to come alone. Could it be because your two children have run away from home again, prompting you to come here in search of them?” Wyatt asked.
“Not exactly. I came to Lommore because I have some business to attend to with a friend. Also, Jen asked me to bring a small gift for Felix,” Rosalie explained.
Upon hearing that, Wyatt instructed the housekeeper, “Ask Felix to come over.”
“Certainly,” the housekeeper acknowledged.
After a brief wait, Felix entered the living room. The sight of Rosalie instantly brought a warm smile to his face.
After all, during those times he was looked down upon, Rosalie had been one of the few individuals who had shown him kindness, and that was especially significant given that Rosalie was also Jennifer’s mother.
Felix walked over, but his gaze wandered as if he were hoping to see a certain someone.
As though sensing his thoughts, Rosalie quickly said, “Jen didn’t come with me today, but she’ll be coming to Lommore on the weekends. You’ll get to see her then.”
Felix’s initially disappointed expression brightened upon hearing the latter part of Rosalie’s statement. His eyes seemed to light up as he asked, “Is Jen coming this weekend?”
“Yes, she’s really looking forward to seeing you,” Rosalie replied and pulled out a paper frog. “Jen just learned how to fold this paper frog. She
asked me to give it to you, and when she comes, she’ll teach you how to fold many paper frogs.”

Felix accepted the paper frog with his small hands, staring at the slightly crooked “Felix” written on its back. It was as if the beautiful little face had materialized before his eyes.
Felix wore a smile and thought, “Jen was also thinking of me, and she hadn’t forgotten me.”
Felix cradled the paper frog and returned to his room. Gently, he laid the paper frog on his chest as if he were embracing the person he longed to see the most.
With his still youthful voice, he murmured, “Jen, I miss you so much! I hope… I hope I can see you as soon as possible. I want to learn how to fold paper frogs together, folding countless of them.”
Back in the living room, Wyatt looked at Rosalie with a somewhat amused expression and remarked, “Mrs. Youngblood, you didn’t just come here tonight to deliver a paper frog, did you?”
Rosalie replied, “I have another request, and I hope Mr. Serton can assist if it’s convenient.”
“Oh? May I ask how I can be of assistance to you?” Wyatt inquired.
“I wonder how much Mr. Serton knows about the incident involving the eldest daughter of the Summer family, who was sent to a psychiatric hospital many years ago?” Rosalie asked.
Wyatt narrowed his eyes slightly and inquired, “Why? Is Mrs. Youngblood interested in this matter?”
“I have a good friend who works as a private tutor, and she shares a strong bond with this eldest daughter of the Summer family. You might call her a friend of a friend,” Rosalie said. “Should there be any future requirements in Lommore, I hope Mr. Serton will consider extending your assistance when the occasion arises. The Youngblood family will, without a doubt, return the favor down the road.”
Wyatt raised his lips as he replied, “Speaking of which, I owe the Youngblood family a debt of gratitude. If it weren’t for the Youngblood family taking care of Felix for a while in the past, perhaps this child would have endured even more suffering before I found him.”
Wyatt took a moment to collect his thoughts and then said, “As for the eldest daughter of the Summer family, my knowledge is quite limited.
I’ve only been exposed to the information available in the news during

that period. Some reports suggested that the Summer family was concerned about her potential power struggle within the family, leading them to assert she had a mental illness, even if she was not actually ill, and subsequently sent her to a psychiatric hospital. Additionally, her biological father
and her fiancé at the time were convinced of her mental health issues. There were even diagnostic reports from renowned experts, so those doubts were quickly dismissed. Subsequently, it seems she continued to stay at the psychiatric hospital.”
“Yes, eight years in the psychiatric hospital,” Rosalie replied. “As for the relationship between Zephyr and Riley, the eldest daughter of the Summer family, do you have any insights? To my knowledge, the Scott family and the Serton family also had some business dealings. And you and Zephyr seemed to be former schoolmates.”
“He was my junior,” Wyatt confirmed. “As for their relationship, at least from what I observed back then, it was very strong. It seemed he genuinely loved that woman. Even when she was imprisoned, he never seemed to mind. But…”
“But later, when she was actually released, he wanted to break off the engagement for some unknown reason,” Wyatt continued. “I don’t know much about it, but that’s all I can tell you.”
“Thank you. This information is already more than I had initially expected,” Rosalie expressed. “I’ll head back now and visit again some other day.”
After Rosalie left, Wyatt’s gaze dropped slightly. “The Summer family’s Riley…” It had been a considerable amount of time since anyone had mentioned that name in Lommore.
It was as though the once-prominent name had faded into obscurity as the years passed.
He still remembered that night when Zephyr talked about breaking off the engagement. He had gotten extremely drunk in the nightclub’s private room, and Wyatt happened to pass by. He decided to do a good deed and took him home. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
However, Zephyr began sobbing in his arms, questioning, “Why, why are you treating me this way? Why?”
It left him utterly bewildered until he heard Zephyr mumbling “Riley” incoherently. That was when he realized Zephyr’s words were not directed at him, but he had mistakenly taken him for Riley.

“Riley… I… I don’t want to go on like this any longer. If your love can’t be entirely mine, then… I’d rather not have it at all! I, Zephyr, can choose not to marry you. Even though we have an engagement, I can… I can call it off!” Zephyr continued to whisper incessantly.
During that moment, despite the strong scent of wine on him, the man’s voice was strained as he smiled and cried.
Wyatt naturally knew that his junior had always been proud. From childhood to adulthood, he had always been an outstanding talent, and the only time he would set aside his pride was for Riley.
It was said that Zephyr fell in love with Riley at first sight and pursued her passionately, even when she had been imprisoned.
Initially, their wedding was supposed to be held a month later, but Riley had been sent to a psychiatric hospital. Zephyr remained indifferent, and three months later, he married Riley’s half- sister, Harriet.
“It seems like Lommore might be in for another storm,” Wyatt said softly.
Love was the most hurtful thing, so perhaps it was better to be like him, not falling in love with anyone, thus avoiding getting hurt by anyone.
