Talented Wife 20
As Alina started feeling a bit suspicious, on the other side, Danny shouted, "Mommy!"
Alina glanced at Danny before turning her attention back to the elevator, but the doors had already closed. Without thinking much, Alina ordered some food and ate with her son.
Throughout the afternoon, Alina stayed put. Her mind couldn't help but replay the scene from today's wedding, where Johnny protected her. Despite telling herself to stop thinking about it, Johnny's face lingered in her thoughts.
She attributed this to her reluctance to owe Johnny a favor, convincing herself that it was the reason behind her continuous contemplation of the incident.
Recalling that Johnny had been searching for Night, Alina contacted her assistant, Amy, to inform Johnny that Night was available.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
Johnny had been reaching out to Night for years, and Night had consistently refused him. However, when Night suddenly agreed, Johnny wasted no time in contacting Night personally.
"Who needs help? Send me the details."
Johnny sent Laura's information to Night. Alina reviewed the little girl's condition. She had a congenital illness that couldn't be treated with the medications available on the market. Laura's organ functions were gradually declining, and her constitution was exceedingly unique, making it challenging to find matching organs.
Additionally, it was noted that Laura couldn't speak although her vocal cords were fully functional. Alina couldn't comprehend how Johnny had raised a child with so many health issues.
"Night, I know you're highly skilled in medicine. You have to save my daughter. Name your terms," said Johnny.
Alina sensed Johnny's profound care for Laura between the lines.
Alina's heart stung as if pricked by something sharp. She couldn't help but wonder if Johnny would care for Danny as much as he cared for Laura if he knew about Danny's existence. She replied directly, "I can save her, but it won't be free."
"Of course, name your terms," Johnny assured, willing to pay any price if Night could save Laura.
"I want a five percent stake in Sutton Group," Alina responded, considering Johnny's act of protecting her earlier in the day, otherwise, she might have asked for more.
Alina made a demand that most people would find hard to accept. Alina's request for a five percent stake meant she would receive dividends worth tens of billions of dollars annually. "If Mr. Sutton isn't willing, that's fine," she replied.
"I can only offer you one percent," Johnny responded, which was already a significant offer.
"It seems you're not truly committed to saving your daughter. You claimed you'd agree to any request, but since you're unwilling, there's no need to continue our conversation," Alina retorted.
"No problem," Johnny replied promptly. "As long as my daughter gets better."
To Johnny, the five percent stake paled in comparison to saving Laura's life. He agreed readily, and Alina accepted without hesitation.
"For the details regarding the stake, please contact my assistant. I'll prepare the medication for you as soon as possible," Alina replied.

"How about we meet in person first? You can assess my daughter's condition. Where are you located? I'll send a private jet," Johnny proposed, seeing a glimmer of hope. He was most concerned about his two children and felt helpless in the face of their illnesses. Laura had spent most of her early years in an incubator at the hospital. Johnny couldn't help but feel incredibly softened by her tiny smile.
"No need," Alina replied. She had already assessed Laura's condition that day and had a good idea.
"Night, could you also examine someone else for me?" Johnny asked, thinking of Drake. Though he looked normal, he had a peculiar condition.
Hearing Johnny's words, Alina suspected the other person he referred to was likely Barbara. Barbara had been unwell before, to the point of being unable to take care of herself.
"Sure, but you'd have to offer me fifty percent of the stake," Alina teased with a smile.

Johnny was momentarily lost for words. He hadn't anticipated that Night would be someone so money-driven, shamelessly demanding funding unlike anyone else.
