Brandon’s Pov

I stared at her as she covered her chest in irritation. I found it adorable and burst out laughing. I moved NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

away, my chest felt heavy, and I coughed loudly, larger clots pouring out, but I simply wiped my mouth.

The brainless girl was going to kill me with laughter. She managed to make me laugh more than

anyone has in years. in less than an hour. I was always a serious person, even before I got sick, never

had light moments or entertained jokes

As tears streamed down my face. I took a deep breath and calmed down. “Thalia. let me make it clear

to you, you are too foolish to be my type. I stated straight faced as I stepped closer to her and grabbed

her shoulder With a roll of her eyes, she shoved my hand away

“Then what were you proposing?” she inquired quietly, a hint of disappointment in her voice if I was

correct or was I overthinking it But her notion of one last sex party as a sort of farewell wasn’t half

awful.

But then I’d have to confront all those traitors I used to consider friends. Just thinking about it made me

grind my

teeth

“Brandon’ Brandon'” She jolted me out of my trance

“Oooh, unlike you, who’s considering having sex. I. on the other hand, I’d like to make a suggestion.

With a clear throat. I responded. “I want to have fun, one last time.”

“How she asked.

“You said you wouldn’t take my money, but what if I gave you your own?” I inquired, my eyes wide with

anticipation.

She looked at me, puzzled, and attempted to speak, but I covered her lips with my hand. I always got

irritated when someone cut me off while I was speaking. “An Idea came to me when you were ordering

me to donate my money.” I

remarked

“Let’s be honest, you’re up here because you have nothing. What if I assisted you in reclaiming

everything?” I inquired as she remained motionless.

That was something I knew she wasn’t expecting me to say. “I’m ten times wealthier and more powerful

than your jerk of a husband, and I can easily take him down in less than a month,” I continued.

Because my arm was around her. I could feel her trembling as she turned to face me, so I helped her

take a seat cautiously before she toppled over the bridge. The last thing we wanted was her tumbling

over.

“Why would you do such a thing? You’re joking, right? She stumbled over her words.

“Because you made me laugh,” I said, smiling.

Her eyes welled up as she gazed at me. “But why would you waste your last days on a brainless girl?”

“Stop asking silly questions, remember, you’re the reason I’m not jumping. You disturbed my suicide.

I’m looking for a

new activity.

“No, no, no, no, and no, no, no, no, no,” she cried out.

“Are you jumping. Thalia?” I enquired.

She remained silent and began to play with her nails.

“Thalia It’s single 1 assist you in destroying your useless hubby. You get your money, which you can

donate if you wish, and if you wish, you can come back here and jump. What have you got to lose?”

“And what are you going to get out of it?”

“Laughter? I haven’t had fun in years. I want to die laughing.” I said.

She continued, perplexed

“Wasn’t it supposed to be about beating the clock?” she asked.

“Time is irrelevant, this is fate Thala, you didn’t come up here to jump, but to meet me, and neither did

1,” I said. trying to reason with her

Anyone in her position would be jumping up and down and kissing me all over, but she seemed

perplexed by my gesture. I lifted my hand and smacked the back of her head hard.

“Ouch!” She screamed, her head bowed. “What was the point of that?”

“Because of your folly. I’m providing you the opportunity to avenge yourself. Consider your father: he’d

be turning in his grave if he saw you turn down the chance to reclaim what is rightfully yours!”

“Quiet! You are a complete stranger who has no right to mention my father.”

“He’s probably rolling in his grave, humiliated by you!” I spat it out.

She abruptly turned and slapped me across the face. It was a cold night, which made the slap even

more painful. My heart began to race and blood began to flow from my nostrils. In shock, she held her

mouth.

“Oh my G*d, I’m so sorry, are you okay? She began wiping my nose, she inquired. “Brandon, can you

please say something?”

I went on to stare at her, she shouted out. She started screaming and panicking, perhaps fearing I was

going to die and fall. That would not be a bad option, but the woman in front of me was completely

ineffective.

I had no idea why I was proposing that I take what her ex-husband had taken from her. What was the

benefit to me? I didn’t care about her, but I felt compelled to save her in the back of my mind.

“Brandon please say something, Brandon?” She sobbed.

“Look at me, Thalia, I swiftly seized her hands in mine. I gave her a firm command in a loud voice.

“Yes,” she replied.

“We take down Josh Nelson, finish him, and then donate everything to charity. Then we can return here

if we still feel empty and want to jump.”

She began by addressing me but I cut her off.

“We have nothing to lose, I murmured as I tried to stand up, but my energy had been sapped by her

slap. “Don’t just sit there and help me up,” I said.

She helped me to my feet and inquired whether I was okay. “Deal or no deal, Thalia, remember that I

only have 29 days left and no time to waste,” I said as I started walking away, hoping she was going to

follow me but there was silence, no signs nor footprints
