That Day When I Got Married to My Boss at the Blind Date

Chapter 1094

The private detective was taken aback to discover that Josie had returned directly to Rivodia.

“There have been some changes, but I didn’t expect you to come back so soon.”

Inside the cafe, Josie, dressed in a way that made it difficult to recognize her face, asked, “Have you found out where my father is?”

“After the fire in La Oriele, our leads on Mr. Warren have disappeared. Someone is deliberately covering it up. I’m investigating the person in charge of La Oriele.”

Josie pursed her lips, took out her phone, and handed over a photo. “Take a look. Is this the person?”

“Yes… His name is Robyn Mills. Do you know him?” He looked at the photo again. “However, the person in this photo seems to be younger.”

Because back then, he was still known as Arnold.

“Have you found anything?”

“He’s a Clusian who returned from overseas and was hired as a professional manager to take over La Oriele two months ago. He has some wealth.”

Josie had learned all of this from Dexter, which left her somewhat disheartened.

“By the way, the person named Scar, whom we Investigated before, has been seen recently with this individual named Robyn. It seems they have a deep connection.”

Josie took a deep breath.

“I have a grudge against this man. He was the one who kidnapped and took my father away.”

The detective was surprised. “This clue is crucial. Why didn’t you tell me from the beginning?”

“By then, he had already disappeared. I didn’t have much hope.” Josie then signaled for the waiter to bring the bill. “Keep me informed of any developments at any time.”

“I just received news that Robyn is going to attend an investment meeting in Rivodia in two days.”

After meeting with the detective, Josie stayed in the cafe for a while. She recalled the words Arnold had spoken that day and couldn’t help but feel uncertain.

Dexter has been controlling Edward for such a long time. What’s his purpose? Is he just waiting for Arnold to personally hand over Paul?

As this thought crossed her mind, Josie chuckled and shook her head. Why would Dexter, a man who prioritizes his own interests above all else, consider my future to such an extent?

She murmured, “Josie, don’t think too highly of yourself.”

“Mommy!”

Grape’s voice brought her back to reality. She turned around, only to see the girl running in, with Dexter following behind.

“How did you know I was here?”

“Mr. Peeple said he saw you when he was passing by.”

Josie had only come out after Grape fell asleep. However, it only took half an hour before she was found. Josie pursed her lips, looking at Dexter. He had a faint smile in his eyes.

“You’ve been watching me?”

Josie stepped outside, holding the child in her arms, and a gentle breeze carried a delicate fragrance.

Dexter’s smile faded. “I didn’t.”

“Even though these hundred days are part of a deal, I don’t appreciate being watched. Stop what you’re doing,” Josie said while combing Grape’s hair.

The child had just woken up from her nap, and her hair was a mess. Josie had no idea who had tied it up for her.

Larry, standing to one side, was displeased. “I was the one who ran into you when I came to deliver some documents. Mr. Russell-”

“You are very loyal,” Josie interrupted him. “But don’t base it on me.”Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

She had a natural prejudice against Dexter.

Larry wanted to say more, but Dexter raised his hand to interrupt him. “I will learn to tie her hair gradually, so I won’t intrude on your personal time in the future.”

Grape spoke in a sweet and innocent tone, “You did a great job. Mr. Lachlan didn’t do well when he first braided my hair either!”

Maybe Grape shouldn’t have mentioned that.
