Chapter 25 Seems Someone is Jealous

“Special assistant?” Farrah was surprised. “Mr. Locke already has a secretary, doesn’t he? Why does he still need a special assistant? Doesn’t that mean he doesn’t need to do anything himself?”

“Of course not,” Corey said. He was defensive of Adrian, and his tone was full of admiration. “Mr. Locke needs to analyze plenty of data sets before making an informed decision, especially regarding some of the company’s most important matters. It’s mentally draining, and no one but him can do it.”

He continued, “Don’t think he’s incapable because he’s young. He’s secretly been running the company for years now. Why else do you think Prestige Group is as powerful as it is now? He’s truly a genius in business and much smarter than you think.”

Adrian asked Corey how he was doing and told him to focus on his recovery. Corey wasn’t just his subordinate–he was also a friend.
