Suddenly Married

Chapter 2 Love letter

“Thank you,” Beth shyly thanked Kian’s daddy. She simply turned her gaze to Kian who went straight to their gate, and didn’t even bother to bid goodbye to her.

Kian’s daddy just nodded and smiled as a response.

Beth immediately walked to their house just the opposite opportunity of Kian’s house.

The moment she entered their house, made her remember the thing she’s been looking for the entire day.

“I’m already here!” she shouted then she went straight to her room. She dropped her bag on her bed and immediately explored her study table near the window.

“Where are you now?” she asked as she looked at the small drawers one by one.

“Nothing!” she screamed sharply. She already tweaked her hair out of frustration. She then approached her bedside table. Unfortunately, she found nothing.

She searched on her bed. Under the pillow, even under her mattress and under the bed but still nothing.

She had searched everything but still, nothing. Her eyes widened when something went through her mind. Could her mama have seen it firsthand?

Without hesitation, she hurriedly walks her way to her mother in the kitchen, busy cooking for dinner.

“Mom!” she called her.

“Yes, dear, what’s up?” her mother asked her while chopping the vegetables.

Beth scratched her head a little. She felt nervous, undecided if she would continue to ask her mother.

“Did you see any pink paper?” she asked his mother with crossed fingers at her back.

Her mother stopped for a moment and gave her a look that made her more nervous.

“Pink paper?”

Beth nodded and averted her gaze. “Yeah, a scented paper.”

Her mother shook her head. “I did not see anything.”

Beth nodded and was about to turn around when her mother talk again.

“Maybe you’re not looking for a love letter,” she said that making Beth’s eyes widen. She shook her head gently.

“Okay,” her mother said. “You’re too young to exchange love letters, okay?”

Beth nodded, “Yes, Mom.”

When the morning comes…

Beth’s classmates were so noisy as she entered their classroom. Laughing and some are screaming.

She sighed and walked to her assigned seat. When her classmates noticed her, they suddenly fell silent. And just a few seconds later the noise came back again. She just ignored them. She went straight to her seat because it was only a few minutes and their class was about to start.

She looked around and noticed that Kian was not yet in his seat. She opened her bag and pulled out her notebook. They have an assignment in their first class this morning.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

While she was busy, silence again enveloped the whole room. And in a moment Beth’s attention was completely taken away.

“Kian, do you know I had a crush on you for a long time.”

Beth’s eyes widened when she heard her male classmate Alden. The pink paper she has been looking for since yesterday is now in the hands of her classmate. The whole class shuddered. Alden hushed them so he could continue reading. As usual, Kian ignored them, thinking it was just a nonsense matter. He went straight to his seat.

Beth didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know if she should yell at them. She was wriggled down on her seat. She bent down her head as her fist clenched tightly.

“It was summer and the sunshine was so beautiful. I was outside our house watering the plants when a car stopped in front of our house, ” Alden continued reading what was written on the pink paper. Her classmates were already in a commotion.

“Who wrote that?” others asked but Alden only laughed at them.

“That’s where I first saw you. You’re wearing a red marvel t-shirt. You’re so handsome in your outfit. I felt that you’re my hero who will rescue me against monsters.”

Beth couldn’t stand it anymore. She stood up and quickly approached Alden who was in front and holding her letter. She was about to grab it but Alden avoided his hand and just laugh at her.

“Oh, why?” Alden asked her smiling.

“Stop that. That’s mine!”

“Why, Beth? Do you own that?” asked one of their classmates who was immediately followed by the other. Beth was taken aback and did not answer.

They have already started screaming. Something made Beth’s face blush. But she ignored it. She turned to Alden again and the latter just laughed.

“Give me that!” Beth shouts out loud.

Instead of giving it to her, Alden just continued reading.

“I look at you out of my window every day. I think I love you, Kian.” Beth’s face turned red now. Ashamed, nervous, and anger filled her being.

“Love, Beth,” Alden read the last part of Beth’s letter.

“What can you say, Kian?” Alden turned to Kian and asked him who is now also had a red face.

Kian did not know if it was because of embarrassment or because of anger toward Beth for letting him involved in this embarrassing moment.

Kian walked quickly out of their classroom. Beth’s anger rose even more. She could feel like smoke already in her ear and nose stuff in annoyance for Alden.

The love letter is a personal matter and should not be exposed publicly. Alden doesn’t have the right to reveal her letter to Kian.

Yet only Kian should read it.

“I hate you! I hate you!” Beth shouted at Alden.

Since then, Kian ignored her. Not even a glance did he laid on her.

Even if they are neighbors there is not a single chance that they will even be able to talk again.

Beth thought that perhaps his anger against her was high than the heavens. So, she decided to just ignore it.

They were now both in high school and still attended the same school. She knew very well that Kian is a certified playboy and changes girlfriends like changing clothes.

As Kian grows older, he becomes even more handsome. Beth tried to ignore and just forget about Kian.
