Chapter 11 Wedding ring
“Hmm… how many children do you want?” he suddenly asked.
I don’t know if it’s still early for planning or talking about this kind of thing. I shifted on my seat to face him. Okay. He was serious. I sighed and shrugged.
“Since I was an only child, wanted to have a big family. I like to have a big and happy family.”
I grew up lonely. I wasn’t like the other kids who stay most often outside their house. Playing with other kids. I stayed mostly at our house. Playing alone. I don’t have someone to tell my secrets to. Don’t have someone to share my toys with.
Kian was also an only child, but we are totally different. He’s friendly.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
People like to be friends with him. He gets along well with others. While I prefer to be alone. I just don’t want to be judged.
Childhood memories and trauma made me this way. I fear socializing. I don’t want people to be nice to me while I’m in front of them, then, later on, will say ill things behind my back. So, why bother to be nice and to please people if they don’t really like me? It’s their problem, not mine.
Being a loner made me think that way. It’s not that bad at all. I find peace being alone. Not until Kian and I got married. He is not like a husband to me. He’s also my friend, and all.
“How about you?” I asked him.
“I also want a big family. But if you can only give me a few kids, I’m fine with that.”
I laughed at what he said. Why are we talking about it anyway? We don’t yet have the knowledge of family planning. At least for now.
We need to finish our studies first. Have a stable job and be financially stable as well so we can afford on having a big family.
“I have something to give to you,” I said smiling.
“What is it?”
I took out the box that I hid on the back of the picture frame. I handed it to him. I feel a bit nervous. I am not really sure about this.
He smiled at me. He opened it. He was speechless after he saw what it was. He was dazzled, I guessed. Maybe he realized it now. He made me sit on his side. He picked up the ring that I gave him.
We’ve been married for a few months but we don’t even wear a wedding ring. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why some girls at school still approach him. Well, he’s really popular. I just thought that if these girls see his finger wearing a wedding ring, they’ll probably back off. If not, well they are really bitches.
“Thank you, Moo.” He smiled at me before looking at the ring again. It was a simple white gold ring with our name engraved on it. He held my hand. For a few seconds, he was silent. He was weighing some things and seemed to be thinking.
“To the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my whole life,” he began.
I frowned and laughed softly. Only to realize that he was making a vow. A wedding vow that we haven’t done because we got married all of a sudden. We didn’t even have a wedding ceremony. We just signed the certificates and that’s it, suddenly married.
“I will love you with all of my heart. I will be the best husband and lover to you. I love you,” he’s about to kiss me when I avoided him.
“Wait for the bride to say her vows first.” I laughed. He scratched his neck.
I took a deep breath. We didn’t have any audience but I felt a thrill in my chest.
“I wonder if you remember or heard my love letter well back then.” I blushed. “Yes, maybe I was too young then to think that it was love. But I’ve written that letter with all my heart.”
His eyes dimmed.
“I decided to stop my special feeling for you way back then, because I know you can’t return back what I was feeling for you. I thought I got you out of my system but I was wrong. Because each day we were together, the feeling I buried deep inside of my heart was revived.”
He sighed. His eyes twinkled. Is he going to cry?
“I love you so much, Moo,” I whispered.
He didn’t waste a minute. He immediately planted my lips with a brief kiss. And again. And again. He laughed and pressed our foreheads and noses together.
“I love you more, Moo.”
We weren’t in a wedding ceremony but the emotion was real.
“When we became successful someday, I will marry you in the church. I will give you a grand wedding. A dream wedding. After that, we’ll travel the whole world. And then we’ll start a family. We’ll have kids. Two boys and two girls who look just like you.”
I laughed and cried at the same time. I can’t wait for that moment to happen. Soon, someday. Life with him was amazing. I never thought I could love a man this deeply. Or never did I think that someone would love me this deep. And never did I think that it will be him.
Kian.
My childhood crush. My number one bully.
Days passed by, I loved him even more. I am always excited about coming home from school to cook for him. We always have time to talk. Sometimes our bonding was doing assignments and projects.
I’m in a hurry to go home so I can cook dinner for Kian and me. He is still at the university. He has two more classes. I still have two hours left before he goes home. I have to fix everything within two hours. I was able to do the grocery yesterday. I also bought balloons to decorate our room.
I inserted the key in the keyhole and when I opened the door I was shocked to hear something like fireworks.
“Ah!” I hold my chest out of shock.
“Happy anniversary, Moo!” Kian greeted me while still holding the party pop.
I smiled and approached him.
“You did this all?” I asked as I rolled my eyes in every corner of the room.
There are hanging balloons. We had LED lights and printed pictures together. Petals of roses are scattered on the floor. It was mixed with confetti from the party pop. There is a mini table in the middle with wine, cake, and some food on it.
There is also a gift and bouquet of roses on the bed. For a moment I could not speak a word in surprise. Oh, he prepared all of these. I smiled. Because of this, I seem to have fallen in love even more with him.
“My husband is sweet and thoughtful,” I said emotionally and immediately hugged him tightly.
He laughed softly and immediately kissed me on my lips.
“Happy anniversary, Moo,” I greeted him.
I squatted down and immediately kissed him. I distance myself afterwards, thinking maybe it will lead us to hot nights again.
I want to see first everything he has prepared and enjoy everything first. My husband and I seem to have the same thing in mind.
He was better at planning because instead of me surprising him, I was the one who was surprised. We took a video of us while we blew the candle on our anniversary cake. We exchanged some sweet messages and kisses.
“Turn off the video and maybe we’ll be able to record what we’re going to do,” he whispered making me laugh. After turning it off, I looked at him and smiled devilishly.
“Since you took care of everything. I’ll take care of you,” I utter in a flirtatious way.
He quickly stood up from sitting in front of the table. I laughed. I immediately ran and went up to our room.
“Don’t be impatient, mister! Just be there first!” I locked the door of the room to make sure he could not enter and follow me. Knowing him. He was too impatient. I can hear his frustration while he calls my name outside. I just laughed.
“I will just take a shower!” I shout again. I took the lingerie I bought from the closet before I took a shower. Let’s see if I could give my husband a mind-blowing pleasure.
