Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 21

Happy reading….

Hera gripped the hem of her shirt tightly. So what she thought about Haidar all along was right. The man was attracted to her. Then now when he got a bit of a reproach, the man with the black mane wasted no time advancing.

Hera had mixed feelings. She was angry and upset but couldn’t spare it. Hera couldn’t deny that she felt a little happy because she seemed to have a way to get back at Jayden and Elena. During this time she could only be silent and patient.

“So how about it, Hera? You agree with my offer?” asked Haidar after taking a sip of the drink the waiter had just delivered along with his other orders.

Hera looked up. Staring in Haidar’s eyes. She didn’t show any expression which meant that Haidar couldn’t guess what was going on in the woman’s mind.

Haidar smiled again. “You have nothing to lose if you agree, Hera. Because I really like you,” said Haidar trying to convince Hera.

“No, Haidar. You don’t like me. You just want my body, don’t you?” said Hera smiling lightly. What else could a man want if not to satisfy his lust? Love? Even Hera never knew what love was like.

“So you think I’m that low?”

“What else? You like a woman whose status is someone’s wife and even has a son. Does that make sense?”

“I’m not in love with Jayden Xavier’s wife who I met at the party, but I’m in love with a girl who so admires the painting I made at the Alatha art exhibition five years ago,” Haidar said.

Hera seemed to be pulled back five years ago. And as a fleeting memory flashed, Hera stared with her eyes and mouth wide open.

“Min Suga?” softly Hera almost whispered.

“Yes, Hera. I’m Min Suga, the painter of Faces in Shadows,” said Haidar with a happy face. Didn’t expect that Hera could remember that moment so quickly. Although it’s still a shame because he couldn’t recognize Haidar.

“Oh my God, so it turns out you’re Min Suga!” said Hera. She really couldn’t recognize her favorite painter. Even though she felt familiar with Haidar’s face, it never crossed her mind that the man was Min Suga. The man she once admired so much.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

Hera still remembers how Haidar looked at that time. Glasses with topknot hair and all black clothes. Actually, even then Haidar already looked very charming. But the figure sitting in front of him was even more charming. Dressed in a casual out-fit with a hairstyle like a famous singer who showed a slight forehead. Haidar is really growing well.

“Honestly I’m a little disappointed that you can’t recognize me when I can never forget you since the first time we met,” said Haidar as if sulking at Hera.

Hearing this made Hera feel bad. “I’m sorry. It’s your own fault for being so handsome,” said Hera unconsciously.

“Is that true?” Even the person who was praised was even tempting back. Hera, who just realized what she said, could only blush.

“Tsk! Stop that! Don’t tease me!” Hera’s protest made Haidar chuckle.

Hera’s courage to defend Haidar in public really amazed him. When everyone insulted Min Suga’s painting, Hera was so amazed. Even intending to buy it. Unfortunately the innocent and beautiful girl did not have enough money.

“You say that you are an art expert but why can’t you see the meaning of this painting. Try to listen to the presentation of the painter first. I’m sure you will regret insulting his work,” said Hera to the visitors who insulted Haidar’s work at that time.

“You take it easy. Your painting is very good. You just have to be confident, Got it!” said Hera holding Haidar’s shoulder. “Remember. I’ll be your fan,” Hera said with a big smile.

A smile that Haidar could never forget.

“So do you still paint today?” asked Hera, finally finding a good topic for them to talk about. “If so … I want to buy one of your works. Remember, I’m still a big fan of you,” said Hera making Haidar’s daydream about the past shattered.

“Painting is just a hobby. Now I focus more on my father’s business which I am managing,” said Haidar. Hera looked disappointed when she heard that. “But if you want … I will make a special painting for you,” continued Haidar, making Hera smile again.

“Is that true?” asked Hera with great enthusiasm.

“Of course.”

“Okay. I’ll be waiting for your work.”

In front of the people who made Hera comfortable, her true self would be seen. The figure of Hera who always smiles and talks a lot. And Haidar was so grateful that he could finally see the figure of Hera again that he had missed so much.

To be honest, Haidar didn’t really like Hera’s figure when she was with Jayden. Damn it! The man had dared to turn his cheerful girl into a gloomy one.

They were so engrossed in various discussions that they forgot the original question that still needed an answer. Satisfied chatting, Haidar also offered to take Hera home. Maybe because the woman already knew who Haidar was, she wouldn’t think twice about saying yes.

“By the way, I’m sorry for what I said about you, Haidar,” Hera said openly.

“It’s okay. I understand. You must be very surprised because a handsome man suddenly confessed his love for you,” said Haidar interspersed with jokes.

“Tsk! You’re so confident,” Hera snorted and smiled sweetly.

“So what’s your answer about my offer, Hera?” asked Haidar.

Hera sighed softly looking straight ahead where several cars were lined up neatly.

“I have to think about it again, Haidar. After all, marriage is not something that can be taken lightly. I really hate Jayden, but I have to think about my family and also my children,” Hera said, pausing for a moment. “If they all find out about this matter, I don’t know what will happen,” said Hera, finally looking down.

“Okay. I understand,” said Haidar nodding slowly. His hand then stroked the back of Hera’s hand causing the woman to turn to look at him. “But you have the right to be happy. As I said that day. You are stronger than you think. You can make the people you love happy without Jayden’s help and I am ready to help you,” said Haidar again turning his head for a moment then focusing back on driving.

‘Does this man like me so much that he doesn’t care at all about my status?’ Hera thought confused.

Silence hit the car again until it reached Hera’s house. The woman immediately got out of the car followed by Haidar.

“Thanks for today, Haidar,” said Hera.

“You’re welcome. And don’t forget to think about my offer earlier,” said Haidar and drew closer to Hera. He lowered his body slightly so that their faces were level. “Because I will not give up on getting you, Hera. Until you yourself pushed me away,” said Haidar smiling making Hera shudder.

“See you later,” said Haidar got into the car and then left from there. Leaving Hera who could only budge there. Still trying to digest what just happened.

“Even I haven’t separated from my husband, but someone has promised me a happiness that I don’t know if I deserve it or not,” Hera whispered.

“Then what should I do now?”

To be continued…..
