Spoiled by the Silver Fox

Chapter 746

"Can't see it."

"Would seeing it make you happy?"

"If I'm good to you, would that make you happy?"

Stephanie nodded and said, "Of course."

"So, by the same token, if you care about me, consider my feelings in everything you do. Well, it'll make my heart happy too." Sebastian pointed to his chest, speaking earnestly. He wasn't always like this.

He didn't use to sweat the small stuff, to care so much.

But ever since he started dating this girl, he felt like he had become a bit more childish.

Perhaps it was because he now wanted more.

Stephanie couldn't hold back any longer. Without even taking off her apron, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Sebastian's waist, burying her head in his chest. "I get it. You have feelings for me, that's why you've become so possessive."

A twitch crossed Sebastian's lips. "Is that being possessive?"

"Is it being magnanimous?"

Sebastian was speechless.

"Can you promise to tell me what's on your mind from now on, Silver Fox? If I'm not doing something right, I'll fix it."

"Deal. And you too. If there's something I'm doing wrong, you tell me. and I'll make it right."

Neither of them had been in love before.

They didn't know how to go about it. but they figured communication was key.

"Are you hungry, Silver Fox? I made a late-night snack."

He wasn't hungry.

He didn't usually eat late at night.

"I am hungry."

"I knew it. I knew you would be hungry after all that work. Let's eat something together."

After their late-night snack, they walked hand in hand through the garden to help digest.

Stephanie pointed to an empty spot on the ground. "It'd be great to have a swing there, Silver Fox. Then on days off, I could swing there with Emily."

"I'll have someone install it tomorrow."

"Silver Fox, you're the best."

"Feeling sleepy?"

"A bit." Stephanie yawned. "What time is it, Silver Fox?"

"Almost midnight."

"Then let's head up to bed. Emily hasn't texted me yet. I wonder if she's arrived."

Stephanie checked her phone and dialed Emily's number.

The call went through, but no one answered.

She then called Ashley, but the phone was turned off.

She looked puzzled. "Maybe they're already asleep."

"At this hour, they should be."

"Yeah, if she's with her mom, they would've gone to bed early."

"Then let's not disturb her."

"Hmph, I'll settle the score with her tomorrow." Not even a message to say she's safe.

In a narrow alley, Sullivan was rushing Emily along.

Both of them were too anxious to speak.

The footsteps behind them were closing in.

Sullivan found a dumpster nearby and hid Emily inside, instructing her firmly, No matter what happens, don't come out, understand?

"What about you? Where will you go? You won't leave me behind, right?"

"I won't leave you. I'll draw them away. I said I'd protect you once, and I will."

"I trust you, but promise me, please be safe."

Sullivan's eyes darkened slightly. "She won't kill me."

He was still useful to her.

"Sullivan. The person you're

protecting, it's Rebecca, isn't it?" Emily crouched in the dumpster, her eyes red as she asked.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
