Chapter 541 Drake and the King of the Underworld Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
"I've investigated the will. Like I said before, it has nothing wrong."
"My gosh! The Riley family will be ruined by Rashad sooner or later."
Drake consoled Aria, "Enough. It's none of our business. In the future, whenever you see Rashad Witt,
remember to stay away from him."
Rashad was more scheming than Drake had imagined, so Drake believed that he must have some
other plot.
"You can't say that, Drake. Think I'm afraid of him?"
Drake did not want to continue the argument with her. After all, he could tell Aria would not listen to
him.
"Keep an eye on her, Paul."
"I will, your majesty," Paul answered.
Aria was angry but paid attention to something else. "Paul, your majesty?"
"Uh..."
Paul did not know how to explain.
"Forget about it. Whatever." Aria was not in the mood for an answer.
Suddenly, Drake noticed Sophia's strange stare. She glanced at him as if she saw through him.
"What's wrong, Sophia?"
"Nothing."
Two years ago, Sophia had sensed that Drake was hiding something from her. As she had never asked
him about it before, she would not do so now.
If Drake wanted to tell her, he would do it naturally.
When he got home, Paul was worried, so he called Drake.
"Mr. Riley, Mrs. Riley is right. Mr. Witt must have known you were the King of the Underworld already."
All of Rashad's moves indicated that he was forcing Drake to take action. If Drake did, it would prove
Drake's identity as the King of the Underworld. If he did not, it meant he was not.
"I know, Paul."
"What do you plan to do, then, Mr. Riley?"
"I don't want to disclose my identity right now. I do not mind being aggrieved. Once my identity is
revealed, I will have more work to do. I wish to be with my family and enjoy my life now."
Moreover, if the public knew he was the King of the Underworld, many assassins would be sent to kill
him because some were more jealous of him for it.
After all, the King of the Underworld was the wealthiest man in town.
"Those who bullied you tonight..."
"Don't do anything to them for the time being."
Once Drake made a move, Rashad would find it. Drake started to doubt if Rashad wanted more than
the Riley family.
"OK. Got it."
After Paul returned home, he wanted to punish those people. However, he must obey Drake's orders.
Rashad, on the other hand, waited for Drake to make a move, as they expected.
However, nothing happened after several days.
Rashad wondered if he had a wrong guess and if Drake had nothing to do with the King of the
Underworld.
Though he was reluctant to admit Drake was probably the King of the Underworld, he had to be wary of
Drake, who would be likely to fight back after being kicked out of the Riley Group, which he had been in
charge of for many years.
Rashad guessed that Drake must have read his mind, and decided not to expose himself.
No matter what, Rashad would continue investigating the matter.
After becoming a house husband, Drake cooked each meal. He made different kinds of dishes every
day.
When he had time in the middle of the day, he often took Bonnie with him to deliver lunch to Sophia.
The family of three chatted over dinner in Sophia's office.
With a satisfied smile, Bonnie remarked, "I feel so happy. I've never been so happy in my life."
Drake pinched her cheek. "I'll make you as happy as now all your life."
He knew that he had made a wise choice. No matter how superior or wealthy he was, being with his
family was what he yearned for.
"I trust you, Papa."
Bonnie munched her food with glee.
Sophia complained, "I feel I've put on a lot of weight since you cooked and delivered food regularly."
"Isn't it good? I like it when you are chubby."
Bonnie did not understand Drake's implication but nodded to echo, "I agree, Mommy. You used to be
so skinny. I also like you to be chubby."
Sophia glared at Drake, who did not care.
After lunch, Drake asked, "Your lunch break hasn't finished yet, right? Let's have a walk."
"Great idea."
Sophia, too, enjoyed the life, and thought it well that Drake had stayed at home. He would have more
time to spend with Bonnie and her. Sophia was as happy as Bonnie.
Many passersby were watching them as they left her office.
After all, they were employees of the companies in the neighborhood and often read financial news, so
they recognized Drake and Sophia quickly.
Many discussed in low voices. "The news isn't true. They seem to love each other deeply."
"News can be made. Sometimes, others are jealous of them. Who knows if that's a rumor?"
"I agree. We shouldn't believe the news THAT much."
"They are a happy family of three, indeed."
Sophia and Drake heard what was said, but did not care.
Mr. Watts happened to be there on a visit to his client. Seeing Drake's family, he said with a smile, "Are
you here to see Sophia again, Drake? We heard you came over every day after quitting your job."
"Yeah. I am now a house husband. The restaurant's dishes are delicious, but too spiced. This is bad for
our health. I am free, so I can prepare dishes for her."
Mr. Watts was the only one who did not scorn Drake after he quit the Riley Group. He chuckled, "I do
envy your current life, Drake."
"Mr. Watts, you can consider retiring earlier to enjoy your life."
"Alas... I am not so lucky as you. I don't have an heir who can take over my business."
Mr. Watts truly envied Drake. He had been so long in the field of business that he always felt exhausted
and wished for a break.
"Why don't you train one?"
"Thanks, I'll consider it. Well, I will not hold you up long. Enjoy your walk."
After exchanging a few words, Mr. Watts left.
Sophia chuckled, "I can tell you are proud of being a house husband."
"Of course! I am not making as much money as I used to. I'm not as influential as before. But I've never
been so happy."
