Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 212

Chapter 212

The phone was prominently placed on the coffee table. A call had come in.

Naomi had a look at it before looking at the bathroom. The water was still running, so Scott must not have heard it. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Even if he heard it, he would not come out immediately.

Naomi took her briefcase and sat in front of the table. She still had some time.

Scott had finished washing up and came out of the bathroom. The phone on the coffee table was no longer ringing. He looked at Naomi, who was working by the window.

A light rain was going on outside the window. It covered the entire city in a blurry fog.

The lights in the room were switched on. Naomi was on a chair as she flipped through documents, reading and notating seriously.

She was focused on work, not letting the gloomy weather—or anything else—affect her. She did what she had to do.

He looked at her for a long time before heading into the walk-in closet.

Both their clothes were there. He took a shirt and got dressed in front of a mirror, buttoning his shirt up button by button.

The room was extremely quiet; only the pitter-patter on the window could be heard.

After getting dressed, Scott put on his watch. He looked extremely smart in his suit.

He headed out of the walk-in closet to grab his phone on the coffee table. As he picked his phone up, the screen lit up. He saw a missed call and an unread message on the screen.

He lowered his gaze and looked at the person who called him and sent him a message. Connor Grant.

Scott tapped into the message.

[Connor: I'm in Herland. When are you free? Let's meet up.]

Scott typed in a short reply and sent the message. He then looked at Naomi, who was still in her chair working.

She did not notice that he had come out of the bathroom, so engrossed in her work that she blocked out everything around her.

Scott placed the phone in his pocket and walked over to her. "Let's have breakfast."

Naomi paused for a while before snapping out of her work mode. She looked up to see him already dressed and standing next to her.

She nodded. "Okay."

After packing up, Scott wheeled her out of the room.

Meanwhile, at the hospital…

The doctor was assessing Olivia's condition while Connor watched from the side.

His phone vibrated, which indicated that it was a message. He looked away and took his phone out.

[Scott: At night.]

Connor smiled when he saw the message.

Olivia heard Connor's phone vibrate, so she looked over to see him smiling. "What's the good news? You seem happy."

Connor kept his phone and met Olivia's inquisitive gaze. "I told Scott I'm in Herland. I'm asking him out to meet."

Olivia was secretly unhappy. She thought it was Scott who came the night before. She never expected that it was Connor.

She did not need to guess to know that it was Scott who got Connor to come. He was mad at her, so mad that he pushed her to Connor once more. She felt extremely upset.

However, she had no other choice. Scott was just a stubborn man. Even she could do nothing about it.

At that moment, when she heard what Connor said, she was instantly excited. "What did he say? Did he say yes?"

Her eyes twinkled, a completely different gaze than before.

Connor looked at Olivia and clutched his phone tighter. He put down his phone.

He smiled at her tenderly. "He agreed to it."

Olivia smiled. From the night before until that moment, she finally smiled sincerely. She knew that Scott would not be so cruel, that he still cared for her. "When? Where?" She was smiling delightedly.

Connor raised an eyebrow. He smiled and shook his head. "I can't tell you."
