My Wife is a Hacker

Chapter 3299

Nicole was quiet, thinking about everything. If I hadn't remembered everything, maybe Lawrence and I could have stayed friends. But after finding out about the airport, it's impossible...'

Not only had she regained her memory, but she had also learned about the airport incident. Lawrence had gone to great lengths to prevent her from returning to San Joto.

"Thanks for saving me before, but you also hurt me. We're even now," Nicole said calmly, looking at Lawrence like he was someone she didn’t know anymore.

Jared squeezed Nicole's hand gently. "Let's go." RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

They decided to leave the rest to Zane and head back.

"Wait." Lawrence's voice stopped Nicole. He sounded almost like he was begging. "Please, don't tell Nolan about this."

Nicole paused, then said, "I won't tell him. Not for you, but because I don't want Nolan to see how bad people can be.”

With that, Nicole walked away with Jared.

Lawrence sat down, watching her leave, with mixed feelings.

"Let's go too," Patricia said to Charlie, ready to leave.

"Alright." Charlie agreed, giving Doretta a quick look, then followed Patricia.

Carl mentioned he'd say goodbye to Nicole, thinking she might be going back to San Joto.

"We'll handle things here," Zane said to them.

Doretta wanted to say something to Charlie but stopped herself.

"If you really miss him, go after him," Zane told Doretta, noticing her hesitation.

Doretta looked at Zane, a bit annoyed, then said, "Let's just get this done."

Zane just laughed softly, not saying anything more.

The group returned to the hotel.

"Are you preparing to leave already?" Carl expressed his regret. "It's a pity we're so rushed. I was hoping you could stay a bit longer to catch up." "You've known I was back in San Joto for a while. If you wanted to catch up, why didn't you come to San Joto to find me?" Nicole chided Carl with a playful glance.

Despite the long time apart, Nicole didn’t feel estranged from Carl.

"Too many trivial matters kept me busy," Carl said, scratching his head. After all, he was now a leader.

Nicole smiled and said, "I can't stay. It was a hurried trip, and my family would worry if I don't return. But..."

She paused before inviting Carl. "Come to San Joto for my wedding. Then, we can truly catch up."

Carl looked surprised, glancing between Nicole and Jared, before saying," Congratulations to you both first. Don’t worry, I'll definitely be there." "A promise is a promise." "I'll head back now, to prepare your wedding gift. I'll make sure to arrive on time."

After watching Carl leave, Nicole smiled softly.

"It's time for US to go back," Patricia said, looking at Jared and Nicole. "Mr.

Johnston, Ms. Riddle, shall we book the tickets now?" "Yes,” Jared instructed. "Well leave tomorrow."

"Alright," Nicole agreed with a nod.

I'll go book the flights," Patricia said, leaving the room.

Charlie hesitated for a moment before he, too, quietly exited.

The room fell silent. Jared and Nicole exchanged glances, and he reached out to smooth her hair. "You haven't rested well lately. Take a break now, and I'll wake you up when dinner arrives."

Nicole bit her lip softly and whispered, "Stay with me."

With a smile and a look of indulgence in his eyes, Jared responded, "Okay, I'll stay with you."

Despite the apparent calm, the past few days had been tumultuous and harrowing. He knew she was exhausted, and she understood that he, too, hadn't rested well.
