Chapter 3290
"Please come back safely," Ellar murmured softly, silently praying in his heart that everyone would return unharmed.
"Mr. Riddle, it's getting late. We should head back," his assistant quietly reminded him.
The plane was already in the air, and Ell ar knew staying wouldn't change anything. With a heavy sigh, he said, "Let's head back."
He didn't like the idea of Patricia facing danger, but after seeing her worry and stress these last few days, he felt he had to support her decision.
He understood what she needed and made the tough choice, despite his feelings.
He loved her too much to hold her back. He wanted to be her biggest supporter as she followed her heart.
Once in the car, Ellar nervously sent a text to Charlie.
[Charlie, Patricia's on her way to you. Please look out for her.]
He waited anxiously for a response, but none came for a while, making him worry even more. 'What's happening? Why hasn't he answered? Is everything okay?'
Finally, his phone beeped with a reply.
[Okay.]
Ellar was puzzled by the short response and wondered, 'What's with that reaction...'

By the time Patricia arrived in Mecrounia, it was already the next day.
Exiting the airport, she saw Charlie and Doretta coming to pick her up.
"Charlie, Doretta," Patricia exclaimed with some surprise, "You came to pick me up!" "Yeah, Ellar told me," Charlie said, looking a bit unhappy. He then asked," Why did you decide to come?" "I was really worried about Nicole and wanted to help out," Patricia answered.
Charlie looked a bit resigned but didn't say anything more to Patricia.
Patricia secretly made a face. She was worried about everyone, not just Nicole, but she knew this was the best thing to say to avoid getting into trouble with Charlie.
"Let's go. We've already arranged a room for you. You should rest and save your energy," Doretta told Patricia, smiling kindly.
"Are we going to do something soon?" Patricia was surprised by Doretta's comment.
"Yes, we can't wait any longer." Doretta's face turned serious. They all thought that with them making moves, Nicole might find a chance to do something too.
"Alright, let's go to the hotel," Patricia said, ready to move on. She got in the car with Charlie and Doretta to head out from the airport.
Once at the hotel, Patricia gave Jared a polite greeting.
"How are things in San Joto?“ Jared asked.
"Everything is smooth, and we've secretly checked. Indeed, none of Lawrence's people are left in San Joto. He must have pulled everyone back, " Patricia replied.
Since the failed attack on the kindergarten, Lawrence' company had declared bankruptcy and either disbanded or pulled back all his personnel.
Now there wasn't a single person related to Lawrence in San Joto. Patricia was somewhat surprised at the discovery; Lawrence had managed to make such a decisive break.
"Pulling everyone back! Doesn't that seem like overreacting?" Doretta scoffed. She wondered, 'What is Lawrence up to? Does he really not plan to return to San Joto?' "He probably wants US to let our guard down," Charlie speculated.
Jared's gaze deepened. "He's not planning to return to San Joto, and he doesn't plan to let Nicole go back either."
Lawrence had given up everything in San Joto but took Nicole and even attempted to take Nolan and Lana. Jared speculated that Lawrence must have prepared to resolve everything in Mecrounia, planning to live there with Nicole, Nolan, and Lana after dealing with him.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
