handsome face, noble and cold, and the bright light elongated his shadow.

Geordie stood behind Janet, and his eyes locked on Nathaniel.

Wasn’t this old Mr. Webster’s grandson, Nathaniel Webster?

Geordie had never seen him in person before and only watched Nathaniel on TV.

He looked at the man in front of him calmly. This was Webster Group’s only heir, the grandson of old

Mr. Webster. Since he took charge of the Webster Group, they had achieved a qualitative leap in just

two years. Geordie had long wanted to meet old Mr. Webster’s grandson.

Thinking about how glorious the Webster Group was when founded by old Mr. Webster back then, it

was a pity that the Webster family lacked powerful descendants. It was not until Nathaniel was in

charge that the prosperity of the Webster Group

was revived.

“Mr. Nathaniel Webster, the famous president of the Webster Group.”

Although Geordie was a well–experienced veteran of the business field who had followed Janet’s

father, when he saw Nathaniel, he still had to admit that regardless of his appearance or the brilliant

achievements he had made since he took charge of the Webster Group, it was enough to shake the

entire business community in this city.

He stared fixedly at Nathaniel with amazed eyes, seeing his noble and aloof aura, and turned his head

to look at Janet. He said, full of admiration and respect, “Mr. Webster has such a dignified appearance,

and he really has what it takes to make old Mr. Webster proud.”

“You may not know that because you just joined the company. Nathaniel took over the Webster Group

for three years and successfully brought the company from the bottom to the top. Now the Webster

Group has occupied half of the business world and developed into a leading enterprise.”

She looked at him calmly, without making a sound.

Geordie continued, “If we can cooperate with the Webster Group, the future is limitless. If we can make

this a win–win

cooperation to firmly grasp the Webster Group, your future in the company will be smooth. At that time,

we can use the Webster Group to fight against those old guys on the board of directors to eradicate

Conrad’s remaining people.”

The idea was very good, but she didn’t want to have anything to do with Nathaniel in her life.

Whatever she wanted, she would fight for it by herself and would never look at Nathaniel’s face again.

A mocking sneer flashed across her eyes, and she said lightly, “Uncle Geordie, he is my ex–husband.”

What?

Nathaniel Webster, the sole heir of the Webster Group, became Janet’s ex–husband?

Geordie was blinded as if struck by lightning.

He didn’t know how she had been for the ten years she was away, nor had he asked her what she had

experienced in the past ten years, but when he heard her call Nathaniel her ex–husband, his mind went

blank. His face was full of shock, and he couldn’t even believe what he had heard.

He stared at her in astonishment, and it took him a long time to recover from the fact that Nathaniel

was Janet’s ex–husband.

He had heard before that Nathaniel didn’t like his wife, and he liked someone else with whom he had

been entangled in marriage. He had extramarital affairs and cheated on his wife.

But Geordie never expected that it was Janet who was cheated by Nathaniel!

After a while, he recovered from the shock that Nathaniel was her ex–husband. He lost all respect for

him in an instant.

His sharp eyes slid across the man in the front and finally landed on Janet, “You really can’t judge a

book by its cover. I was looking at the handsome little grandson of old Mr. Webster on the surface, but I

didn’t expect him to be a man who was a cheater. He married you and entangled with other women.

His private life is chaotic. What a sc*mbag!”

Janet’s father treated him with great kindness during his lifetime, so how could he just sit idly by and

ignore that Janet was being bullied like this?

“Juliana, as long as I am here, I will never let you be wronged. I will teach him a lesson for you.”

His face was tense with anger, and he walked toward Nathaniel, but he was stopped by her in the next

second.

“Uncle Geordie.” She looked at him, who was about to vent his anger on Nathaniel, and shook her

head, “He doesn’t know that

I am the Ms. Juliana of the Longfellow family, and I don’t want to tell him my real identity just yet.”

Geordie’s elite eyes shook slightly. Although he didn’t know her plan, he knew that she must have her

reasons for doing so.

He looked at her and nodded. Then, he returned to where he was standing.

She glanced at the icy gaze that made her feel like fell into an ice cellar.

Nathaniel pursed his thin lips tightly, looking at the strange and indifferent woman in front of him, and

she still had the usual

beautiful and lively eyes, but at this moment, she had lost the kindness and care she used to have for

him as if she had never known her before. He was ruthlessly ignored, which caused an inexplicable

annoyance in his heart.

At this moment, Alfred came up to her and said politely and respectfully, “Miss Longfellow, Mr. Webster

would like to talk with you.”

Janet glanced at him, unfamiliar and cold. Her beautiful eyes fell on the handsome figure behind him,

and she looked at that figure for half a second. She flipped her long hair and smiled instantly, “Mr.

Webster? Do I know him?”

Alfred was stunned when he said this.

After following Nathaniel for so many years, this was the first time he saw Mr. Webster take the

initiative to invite others for a

talk, and he was actually rejected.

Was this still the same person he used to marry? She wasn’t like this before.

In the past, she was the one who begged Mr. Webster to go home, and even seeing him was so

difficult for her, but now he came to see her on his own initiative, but she directly refused him.

If it was someone else, Alfred would have rushed to teach this person a lesson without Nathaniel’s

order.

But she was not someone else. She was his ex–wife.

Nathaniel was insulted by his ex–wife. As an assistant, Alfred was an outsider, after all. He couldn’t

slap her in the face without authorization, let alone get involved between them.

He glanced at her silently in shock, and his expression slightly startled, “Mr. Webster came here with

sincerity. Why don’t we go in first and then talk?”

“I don’t know him, so there’s no need for that.”

She trembled her thick eyelashes, stared at Nathaniel’s stern face pretending to be serious, and curled

her lips, “Sir, I have to meet a lot of people every day. If you want to see me, go wait in line first.”

“What? Wait in line?” Alfred was completely taken aback by her words and was stunned for a while.

Looking at the woman who turned him away, Nathaniel’s eyes were covered with a thick layer of frost,

and he swept toward Alfred to signal him to back away.

She actually called him “Sir.”

His eyes froze, and embarrassment, anger, annoyance… countless indescribable emotions filled his

heart. His thin lips were tightly pursed, and his heart was filled with indescribable anger.

During the silence, she glanced at him as if nothing had happened, not bothering to pay attention to

him, and was about to walk pass him.

Suddenly there was a force in her hand which stopped her.

Nathaniel asked her, “What happened three years ago? Why is it such a coincidence that I met you as

soon as I recovered from my illness?“
