Nicholas eyes trailed off to the drawer which his grandfather just locked before inserting it in his pocket.

Old Grayson cleared his throat to gain back Nicholas attention. “What did you find about her?”

“She left the hospital a while ago with a medical report and also she is attending the event this night”

“Well that’s great! if she attends the event then it’s okay, and do something for me find out what report is that, I just hope my fears don’t come to pass”.

Nicholas nodded going out but stopped for a moment as he glanced back at the drawer he couldn’t help but wonder what his grandfather was hiding..

Louisa checked her wrist watch for the umpteenth time, she cursed silently wondering where Dylan was.

Not too long his car stopped right in front of her horning for her to hop in. She opened the backseat of the car to get in but felt her arm being pulled out.

“Hey let me… Jake?”

Dylan came down from his car and stood in front of them.

Dylan held her other arm and pulled her to his side “She is a living thing not some object that you can swindle around”. Dylan spoke angrily.

Jake’s anger rose up, this guy always try to make him look bad in front of Louisa. “She is my girlfriend! don’t try to act like her husband”.

Louisa sighed whenever these two meets they always create a scene. “Come on you both don’t start this again and Jake please we are late for a business meeting”.

“Louisa don’t you see that he is trying to create a wedge between us? he is just looking for excuses to be with you!” Jake reasoned shaking her shoulder lightly.

Louisa held his two hands “What are you saying? you know how much I love you! Dylan is just my boss nothing more and we can never share that kind of relationship you are driving at!”.

Dylan felt the air around his seize, his heart ached as he heard those words escape her lips. Jake embraced Louisa, that was all he wanted to hear. He didn’t miss the pain that flashed past Dylan’s eyes.

“I love you too babe” Jake said as he pulled out from the embrace, he slowly dropped his hand down to her waist while maintaining eye contact with Dylan.

Louisa felt uncomfortable acting intimate with Jake in the presence of Dylan. She glanced towards his direction but he returned back to the car.

Jake’s lips drew a victorious smile as he watched his opponent leave, He knew well enough that Dylan has something for his girlfriend.

Louisa bade Jake good bye and turned to leave but was drawn back. “Not so fast, aren’t you forgetting something?”.

Dylan’s grip on the steering thightened as he watched the two share a kiss. He gently placed his head on the headrest with his eyes closed.

Louisa got into the car putting on her seatbelt, she turned to Dylan when she noticed that he was oddly quiet. She touched his hand on the steering wheel.

Dylan retracted his hand “You told me that you both are no longer together”.

Louisa smiled at his words “And you believed it? hell no!”.

Allison squealed in excitement when she saw her dress, she was sure that no one would be comparable to her tonight at the launching ceremony.

“Hey make sure my hair and makeup is to perfection, I want Liam’s whole attention to be on me and no one else!” She snapped at her maids.

There was a slight knock on the door before it was pushed open to reveal a tall young man. “Big bro!” Allison exclaimed throwing herself in his embrace.

Fred twirled his sister and planted a small kiss on her forehead. “I’m just so excited that you are here”.

“I missed you my little devil, get dressed I’ll meet you downstairs”.

At a large hall, filled with guests in glamorous outfit, the gathering of different business men and women. A limousine stopped and a guard came forward to open it.

Liam stepped out, he was putting on a black tuxedo with a hint of blue, immediately the media saw who it was they flocked around him totally ignoring his date.

Allison fumed in anger none of the media and reporters were taking pictures of her. “Ma’am could you please move a little? I want to take a quick photo from this angle”.

She threw down his camera before holding Liam’s arm. “Let’s just go in” she said impatiently pulling Liam with her.

These nosy media just ruined her mood, anyways her friends will be present tonight since she bragged a lot about she and liam getting married.

Liam held her hand giving it a tight squeeze “If you try as much as to touch me I’ll cut off your filthy hands” Liam threatened in a hushed tone.

Allison quivered under his fierce gaze “Why? are you still thinking about her? well too bad”.

Liam hissed in anger, he would have taught this lady a lesson if he wasn’t in the public, he needed to maintain a good profile tonight, he collected a glass of wine from a waiter passing by.

Soon after loud murmuring engulfed the hall as a couple stepped into the hall hand in hand.

Liam and Allison faced the direction causing the loud murmurs and whispers. His grip on his glass tightened.

Allison stared at the dress Amelia was wearing and felt out of place she was supposed to be the only one getting all the attention.

Amelia held Kelvin’s arm as she casted a glance at Liam who was boiling at the other end.

“I knew they were together”

“Yeah they met when they got signed at star entertainment and I heard they are shooting a movie together”.

Liam turned to the two ladies who were whispering among themselves. “keep quiet!”..

Kelvin swallowed hard as Liam threw him threatening gaze, “Amelia are you sure about this? I’m really getting uncomfortable, Mr Grayson keeps on sending me mean gazes”.

Amelia followed Kelvin’s line of sight, “I’ll be back”. she held her glass of red wine walking towards Liam and his date.

Liam saw her approaching and his heart skipped a beat. She really meant business tonight, the dress fitted her perfectly.

“Mr Grayson! stop sending my date those mean looks, he isn’t comfortable with it”.
