Chapter 1513
Natalie said, "Okay, Mrs. Hughes."
Watching the well-behaved and thoughtful Natalie, Eleanor couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. If only Jeremy hadn't been influenced by that negative item and strayed from their marriage, things would have been so different. By now, Natalie and Jeremy might even have had a child together.
Instead, things had unraveled to this point, leaving Jeremy seemingly indifferent to love.
He no longer cared who the family chose as his future wife. To him, it made no difference he was willing to marry whomever they deemed appropriate, merely going along with their wishes.
As his mother, Eleanor saw it all too clearly. Jeremy had forced himself to let go of Natalie. He knew they had no future, so it didn't matter who his wife was.
Rumors had even surfaced about him keeping an actress on the side. Eleanor sighed inwardly. Everyone had their own destinies, shaped by the choices they made.
Natalie's attitude earlier was quite clear-she wasn't as warm toward her as before. Back when she and Jeremy were together, Eleanor had treated her like her own daughter. But those days were gone.
The past could never return.
After Eleanor left, Skylar turned to Natalie. "I heard Jeremy's getting married. The Hughes family had arranged the match."
Natalie nodded and said, "I heard the same from my mom. I actually thought Jeremy would end up with Helena. Just a few months ago, I saw them together."
As a woman, Natalie had sensed Helena's feelings for Jeremy. Even though Jeremy had never openly acknowledged a relationship, Helena had stayed close to him for years.
Skylar recalled what Joe had once said that Jeremy and Helena were impossible. The Hughes family didn't approve of Helena. To them, she was just an actress with a questionable past.
So much had changed over the years.
Skylar couldn't help but remember how Natalie used to light up whenever she mentioned Jeremy during their college days.
Just then, the waiter arrived with their food.
When Natalie saw the dishes, her eyes sparkled. "Wow! They look so good! I can already tell just how good they'd be!"
"Let's try it." Skylar was equally hungry and was also drawn in by the enticing presentation.
She and Natalie shared similar tastes and could enjoy almost anything together.

Meanwhile, at the airport, Austin stepped outside, rolling his luggage behind him. He wore sunglasses and kept a low profile. Hank had come to pick him up.
The news of Austin returning to Jipsburg that day hadn't been leaked, so no fans were waiting at the airport.
"Are we heading home or grabbing a bite first?" Hank asked.
Austin had been abroad for a while due to family matters. It was only recently that Hank had learned from Natalie that she and Austin had broken up.
Hank knew very well hownoveldrama
complicated their relationship had been. He hadn't expected that after Austin and Natalie went abroad and visited his family, they would break up. The reason for their breakup was obvious; one didn't need to think.
Maybe it was the sunglasses, but Austin exuded an air of cold indifference, a silent warning for others to keep their distance.
"Let's go home. We can either order takeout or you can cook," Austin said.
Hank's lips twitched. "Your place

The two of them quickly got into the car.
Hank asked, "Do you want me to line up some work for you? While you were gone, several directors reached out,
and there are also a few

projects waiting for your review."
Austin nodded, then took off his sunglasses and glanced out the window without answering. After a moment, he asked, "How's Natalie doing lately?"
