Chapter 523 Missing You
Chapter 523 Missing You
Whether a person was pitiful had nothing to do with whether she was hateful.
Martha was pathetic.
College students had been valued back then, so she had been promising. But she had fallen in love
with the wrong man and had a child out of wedlock, ruining her life and career.
As a mother, she was loathsome.
She was cowardly but rivalrous in the core. She had refused to admit that she had made a mistake and
vented all her resentment on Colin.
She had never realized Colin had never done anything wrong.
Hearing Faye's words, Martha was stunned and kept silent for a long time.
A few minutes later, she pushed the car door open and fled.
Faye didn't look at her but tightened her grip on the steering wheel.
Her words had hurt both Martha and herself.
Colin had not led a happy life in the Farrells over the years. And it was not an exaggeration to say that
his life used to be miserable.
Sitting in the car, Faye took a deep breath, pursed her lips, and called Colin.
After the phone rang for a few seconds, he picked it up.
Before he could speak, Faye said, "Honey."
Hearing this, Colin was stunned for a few seconds and suddenly smiled, "Huh? What's wrong?"
Faye said, "I like you."
Colin took a breath and then chuckled, "You just like me?"
Faye smiled, "More than just like."
Colin asked, "Where are you?"
Faye replied, "On the way home."
Colin asked, "Why did you get off work so early today?"
Faye replied, "Because I suddenly miss you."
Then, she paused for a second and added, "I can't wait one more second."
Hearing her words, Colin laughed in a low voice on the other end of the phone, "I am waiting for you at
home."
Faye replied, "OK."
Hanging up, she turned the steering wheel and headed back for Fennth Community.
After a while, she picked up her phone again and send Andy a voice message, saying, "Keep an eye
on Martha."
Andy instantly replied, "Got it."
Glancing at the reply, she put down the phone and accelerated the car.
Colin was standing at the door when she arrived at Fennth Community.
When she saw him, her eyes uncontrollably turned red.
Colin stepped forward, leaned over, and knocked on the window.
Faye tilted her head to glance at him, unbuckled the seatbelt, lowered the window, reached out to grab
his collar, pulled him down, and instantly kissed his lips.
Colin was stunned for a while and then turned the passivity into an initiative with a smile.
As soon as the kiss ended, he laughed in a low voice, "What's wrong?"
Faye took a deep breath, released her grip on the collar of his nightgown, sat back, pushed the door Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
open, and got out of the car.
Seeing this, Colin smiled, wrapped his hands around her waist, pressed her into his arms, and hugged
her tightly.
"Tell me what happened."
Faye pursed her lips and buried her face in his chest, saying, "Nothing."
Colin lowered his head to kiss her forehead and asked, "Do you want me to guess?"
Faye fell silent.
Colin smirked, "Have you met Martha today?"
Hearing this, she didn't answer but pursed her lips into a straight line, raised her hands hanging by her
sides, and hugged his waist.
Silence spoke.
Although she didn't say anything, her actions were acquiescence.
Colin was tall, so he rested his chin on her head and chuckled, "Are you feeling sorry for me?"
Faye said, "Yes."
Her simple "yes" hit his heart heavily.
Colin smiled, "Honey, I have long forgotten what happened in the past. Now, I feel very happy."
Faye looked up from his arms and asked, "Aren't you too easy to be satisfied now?"
Colin raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "Who says?"
Faye fell silent.
He lowered his head, approached her ear, and said with a smile, "I'm not easy to be satisfied at all. But
I can't help it now. Although I still have ambitions, my life is too beautiful."
Faye was speechless.
Colin indeed could not remain serious for more than three seconds.
The originally gloomy atmosphere was lightened by his joke.
When she was thinking about how to reply, he said, "You came back just in time. The roses have been
delivered. I'll plant them, and you will supervise my work."
Hearing this, she instantly turned to look at him, and her eyes lit up.
Colin said with a doting smile in his pretty eyes, "I can't wait for our wedding to be held."
