ALARM ****
I offed the annoying alarm clock and groaned while getting up from my bed, I rubbed my eyes while yawning and walked towards my washroom. I can hear my mom moving dishes and I can hear her cooking something in the kitchen as I was walking to my washroom. I brushed my teeth and took a cold shower, wrapping my favorite white fluffy towel around my body. I walked out of my washroom and walked straight into my walk-in closet. I got dressed in my baby pink deep V-neck pencil dress cinched at the waist with a statement belt and combed my hair while applying some makeup to my face. I looked at my reflection and smiled when I felt I looked good.
I took my things and walked downstairs, as I walked downstairs I noticed Sofia helping my mom place breakfast on the table, “Sofia!” I called in surprise to see her. Mom gave her off for two days and it’s been only 24 hours and she’s back to work.
She looked at me while laughing at me warmly, “You didn’t take off?” I asked while walking towards her, she hugged me with a smile on her lips,
“I did take, My sister went back, she had some work back at her home, So, I’m back,” she said with a cheerful smile, I smiled at her and walked towards the dining table, My mom began serving me my breakfast, “Good Morning,” she greeted, I smiled at her and greeted back.
I had my breakfast and took my bag with me while walking to the main door, “Bye guys,” I yelled while walking towards the main door, “Bye, Have a nice day,” they both yelled back at once.
I smiled as I heard them laughing as I stepped out of my flat, I walked inside the elevator and pressed the button. I watched as the doors of the elevator closed, I patiently waited to reach the ground floor. With a cheerful ding, the elevator doors opened. I walked through the lobby and reached the parking lot and drove to my office.
Stuck in heavy traffic for almost an hour I finally reached Villin’s buildings. I parked my car and walked inside the building, I noticed the receptionists doing their work without noticing others walking around. I shook my head and walked straight to the elevator, I stepped inside the elevator and pressed the button. I moved back and watched the elevator doors slowly begin closing, they were about to close completely but stopped and moved back.
My breathing hitched when I saw Mr. Villin standing all tall in front me with his hands in his pockets with a very serious expression on his face, and I tried not to show my nervousness on my face. I saw him walk and press the button and move back. He didn’t give a glance as he stepped inside the elevator, the air in the evaluator was so hot even though it’s air-conditioned. I took a deep breath and tried to think of something to avert my attention, then last night’s event rushed to my mind.
Many questions popped in my head, What was he doing there? Why did he leave the card there? Is he following me? Is he following Lydia too? When that question popped up my breathing began unstable as sweat began forming on my forehead.
What if he follows my mom? What if he does something to her? All these questions made my head spin, I leaned my shoulder to the side as black spot playing in front of my eyes. I placed my hand over my head and tried to open my eyes as much as I could. My breathing was unstable as if the air was not reaching my lungs and there was no air for me to breathe.Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
I can feel his strong hands gripping my shoulders as his face appeared in front of my eyes, My eyes moved to his lips. I noticed them moving but I can’t hear what he was telling me. I could see his facial features turn hard as if he was furious. He gestured to me to take a deep breath and look at his face using his hands. I tried to follow him but I couldn’t, my eyelids were growing heavy and it began to quite difficult for me to breathe. He took my face in his hands and made me look into his eyes, his lips were moving and I clearly saw it, he was cursing badly.
I tried to follow his gestures and tried hard to get deep breaths, I was staring at his beautiful blue eyes while I followed his gestures, the deep breaths I was taking were helping me see him clearly now and I felt less dizzy. I could now hear him slowly as my body was relaxing bit by bit and my breathing began to be back to being stable.
“Keep it going,” I hear him say in his deep and manly voice,
I glanced at him and saw his furrowed eyebrows which clearly indicated his worry, the cheerful ding sound of the elevator made him turn his head back and look at it. He turned his head back and helped me stand up by wrapping his arms around my waist, he walked me out of the elevator, and I watched Lillian walking towards me with concern and worry in her eyes.
“Clarrissa?” She walked to us and held my other side, they walked me to my office, and they helped me sit down on the couch. Mr. Villin turned his head to Lillian and said something which I didn’t hear because I still felt a bit dizzy, Lillian immediately handed me a glass of water. I thanked her and drank all of it.
Taking a deep breath I glanced at Mr. Villin and saw him calling someone on his phone, he noticed my gaze on him and turned his head towards me. His ocean blue eyes were staring right at my face, his eyes always managed to pin my attention on them. His eyes were pinned on me while he was talking to the doctor on the phone with his thick British accent and deep voice, he was looking at me like I was the only one alive in this whole world.
We were so busy staring at each other that we didn’t notice that Lillian left us and we were alone in my office. I didn’t know for long we were staring at each other, his eyes and the way they looked at me made me feel something inside that I never felt before and it feels good.
All of a sudden Lillian rushed inside the room making us break the eye contact and turn our heads towards her, she was breathing hard and holding her stomach, she was sweating and she looked horrible.
“Lillian?” I stood up from the couch, there was a feeling that something was wrong, and the look on her face confirmed it.
“I.. I..” she shuttered while walking toward me, I glanced at Mr. Villin who was looking at Lillian with confusion written on his face.
I noticed a blank card, which was similar to the one I got earlier in the cafe was in Lillian’s hand, “T.. this wa.. was on L.. Lydia’s desk,” she said breathing heavily while handing it over to me,
“What is this?” I asked while taking the card from her hand, I flipped the card and when my eyes fell on the other side of the card my mind stopped working while my heartbeat began beating faster than ever, and sweat formed on my forehead.
