Chapter 29

She was an A–list celebrity, yet she had no films to shoot?

“Bella, maybe you can try for a supporting role?” said the assistant.

“B*llshit!” Bella’s eyes widened in anger. “Someone of my caliber lowering herself to play a side character? What a joke!”

The assistant dared not speak again.

A few days later…

Bella could not hold herself back anymore. She called the directors again and asked for a second or a third lead role.

“Sorry, the roles have been filled.”

“Miss Wyatt, you’re not a good fit.”

She was rejected.

Bella angrily threw her expensive makeup products in the dressing room.

She even offered to work without pay, but the directors did not want her.

Bella was depressed.

“Bella, I heard that a production team is holding an open audition for a female lead. Why don’t you try that?” said her assistant.

It was a production team preparing to shoot a highly popular historical drama, which naturally got a lot of attention and hype.

Bella pulled herself together.

She applied flawless makeup and rushed to the audition.

At the filming studio in Rivenesco, Camille fidgeted with the corners of her clothes. She was anxious.

“Dustin, I’m nervous…” Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Dustin and Simone accompanied Camille to the production team. When Camille saw the long queue, she lost her confidence.

Among the people in the line ahead, there were young and popular actors as well as those who were seasoned and respected in their craft.

Not one among them was someone unknown in the industry like her.

Ever since Camille left the crew of Lady Covey’s Diaries, she had been sad and unhappy.

It was lucky that Dustin and Simone had kept her encouraged and tried to keep her spirits up.

A few days ago, Dustin suddenly told her he had submitted her resume to a production team.

When Camille heard the name of the production team, she was excited. But when she heard that Dustin had submitted her resume for the lead female role, she was completely speechless.

She was just an extra. How could she dare to even think about that?

She thought it was a long shot, and that she would not hear back from them.

But today, Dustin told her she had made it through…

Camille found it unbelievable. She thought that she had misheard him.

It was not until she saw the email that it finally hit her. She almost fainted from joy and surprise.

The production team invited her to attend the audition

Simone and Dustin took her to the audition, but she was losing her nerve.

The best role she had ever done had only a few lines.

How could she possibly compete with all these famous or professionally trained actors?

“What’s there to be nervous about? Just give it a shot. What if you’re picked?” said Dustin with a smile.

“Exactly! There’s hope. Camille, you’ll never know how it’ll go until you try,” said Simone encouragingly.

Simone also felt that the odds were very slim for Camille, but Dustin had gone out of his way to help, so how could they back off?

“Alright. I’ll give it a try.”

Camille cheered herself up, walked forward, and got in line.

A while later, there was a commotion.

“Bella Wyatt is here!” someone shouted.

The top celebrity Bella Wyatt had appeared on the set and was walking over to the front.

She was still popular. When she showed up, she immediately attracted people’s attention.

Bella saw Dustin and Camille at the end of the queue, and her face darkened.

They were really everywhere she went!

“How dare an extra come here for the audition of the lead role in a big hit? Where does she get the confidence and courage?” Bella sneered.

“This isn’t you trying your luck. This is you overestimating your ability and being delusional! Total lack of self–awareness!”

Camille looked embarrassed, and she did not dare speak. 1

Dustin’s face darkened.

“Dustin Fox, you think this little girl can replace me? Is there something wrong with you?” She looked at Dustin scornfully.
