Love's Redemption

Redmption 350

Redmption 350

Bree quickly steadied me as I swayed for a moment.

Jewel was a wreck, and her face was pale with panic. Seeing her like that made my heart skip a beat.

Did I hit the nail on the head?

I was just plainly guessing, wanting to test the waters. But now, it seemed that lan's death wasn't that simple.

If Jewel was related to it, or if she had planned it, then she was far more dangerous than I had imagined.

No wonder lan's parents despised her so much. It seemed that there was a reason behind it.

"Jewel, you're guilty, aren't you?" I pressed on, not letting her off the hook.

Now that I had her rattled, I was determined to expose her true nature completely.

Jewel constantly shook her head in denial.

"You set lan up because he became an obstacle in your chase of wealth and status. You knew that with him out of the way, you could finally go after what you always wanted," I continued saying. "But you also knew that as a divorced woman, getting Chris to fall for you won't be easy. So, you placed a trap for lan. You knew Chris would feel guilty and would do whatever it took to take care of you after the accident."

"No, that's not true!"

Jewel once again let out a scream.

"Jewel, the truth isn't up to you. There's always proof."

I could tell she probably hadn't done many things like that before.

Otherwise, she wouldn't fall apart so easily with just a few pointed questions.

But in the end, she was still responsible for someone's death.

"I didn't want lan to die. I didn't know..."

Jewel's grip on the herbicide bottle loosened, and it fell to the floor. She cradled her head in her hands, overwhelmed with pain.

She hadn't intended for lan to die. Even so, he had died. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

In a way, she was admitting that lan's car crash wasn't an accident and that it was her doing.

My entire body felt cold as I looked at the bump on her belly.

"You didn't expect to be pregnant with lan's baby, did you?"

Jewel curled up, looking utterly devastated and broken

Seeing her like that, I said nothing more. The truth was already out.

"You're a dangerous woman. There's no way I'm letting Chris be with you," Bree said, her voice shaking with

shock. She finally stood

everything.

Jewel slowly lifted her head. At that moment, even her lips were pale She stared at me, her eyes filled with raw fury. She must be hating me for exposing her scheme.

After a while, she turned her gaze to Bree.

"None of you will stop me. If you try, we'll all go down together," she said in an icy tone.

"Don't you dare threaten me," Bree snapped, her anger boiling over.

Jewel dropped her innocent act, displaying a mocking smirk.

"Go ahead, Mrs. Gildon. Try me if you dare."

Seeing her like this, I had a bad feeling.

"Jewel, what are you planning?"

Jewel shot me a cold look.

"Madeline,

en't you so smart? You

figure everything out.

don't you

guess what I'll do next?"

I clenched my fists tightly.

Jewel turned back to Bree and said, "I want to see Chris within three days. Otherwise, you'll regret it."

With that being said, she stood up and left.

"I'll be waiting. Let's see what you'll try to pull next," Bree muttered.

Bree was nice, but if someone messed with her, she would fight back.

Jewel had nothing to lose. She gave a smirk and then walked out.

"Take this with you," Bree said.

Bree picked up the bottle of herbicide that Jewel had left behind, ready to chase after her.

I quickly stopped her. Herbicide was dangerous, and it wasn't safe for anyone to just have that lying around.
