Love’s Final Reveal

Chapter 70

“Are you really happy?”

Ethan couldn’t help asking again.

Lola paused slightly. “Huh? Ethan, why do you ask like that?”

Realizing he might have asked too much, Ethan shrugged, brushing it off with a smile. “Oh, nothing. Just worried you might not be enjoying it. If there’s anything you’re not used to, you must tell me, alright?”

Lola chuckled softly, looking quite docile, “You all are so good to me. I’m already very happy.

“Dad and Mom even found a few young servants to play with me, and they bought me lots of toys and beautiful dresses. And Ethan, you accompany me every day.

“I really feel so happy.”

“What about Scott?” Ethan couldn’t help but ask again.

Ethan couldn’t quite figure out his own attitude towards Scott.

In truth, Scott harbored no ill intentions toward Lola. Anyone caring for Lola would do the same.

Scott and Lola had known each other since childhood. As long as Lola genuinely liked him, Ethan had no objections.

Yet, Ethan couldn’t help but secretly hope they wouldn’t marry.

He wondered if he was acting out of selfishness. Maybe he was.

There was also a more critical reason Lola was currently suffering from amnesia. He wondered if she would still fall for her childhood sweetheart she hadn’t seen in over a decade if she hadn’t lost her memory.

Lola had no room in her heart for anyone else now.

Ethan was conflicted too. He would always prioritize Lola’s interests.

So, he would never tell Lola about the past events, and when asking questions, he could only do so cautiously.

Lola didn’t understand what Ethan was up to, but she still pondered his question seriously.

“Scott and I are going to get married in the future. He’s very good to me.”

“Do you like him?” Ethan looked at Lola earnestly.

Lola blinked, seriously considering Ethan’s question. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

It seemed like something was lost in her world, leaving her feeling empty.

She thought she should like Scott. They all thought she and Scott would get married in the future.

But she wondered if she really liked him.

Lola didn’t know.

“I’m pretty happy,” she hesitated for a moment before answering Ethan’s question.

Lola blinked, seriously considering Ethan’s question.

“Like him?”

Lola tried to recall scenes with Scott, but she could only summon vague childhood memories.

And then, nothing.

This kind of liking felt too pale.

But now Lola knew nothing. She only knew she should like Scott.

“Yeah, I do. Scott is very gentle and treats me well, Ethan, why do you look so strange today?” Lola sensed something off about

Ethan.

Afraid Lola might catch on, Ethan chuckled lightly, “Oh, it’s nothing. Do you want to go to the flower shop? I’ll take you to pick some flowers for the room, okay?”

Lola got excited, smiling while revealing sweet dimples, “Sure!”

Since waking up, Lola loved exploring to see the world she hadn’t seen during her fainting period.

The Lewis family owned the flower shop, which was located in a large square with different types of flowers.

As Lola gazed around, she saw a riot of colors, and the fragrance wafted in the wind, making her smile sweetly.

“Ethan, it’s so beautiful here!”

Ethan had closed the garden square early to bring Lola here to enjoy the flowers.

“Which one do you like the most?”

Lola surveyed the surroundings, her gaze stopping at the white flowers.

She paused slightly, and her smile slowly faded.

The white flowers…

She didn’t know the species, but she felt strangely familiar.

She was unconsciously drawn closer to the white flowers. The emptiness in her heart seemed to fill gradually.

Ethan’s eyes widened, but he didn’t go over to disturb Lola.

The fragrance wafted in the air, drilling into her nostrils. Lola slowly crouched down, stroking the petals, her heart inexplicably skipping a beat.

“What a beautiful flower. Too bad I don’t know its name.”

“Gardenia, your favorite, gardenia.”

A deep and magnetic voice came from above. Lola paused slightly, looking up.

A tall man appeared in front of her, wearing a light gray casual outfit, facing away from the sun, with stray hair covering his brows

and eyes. His features were so delicate it seemed like he stepped out of a cartoon.

He carried a faint smile, but with just one glance, she felt like she was falling into an abyss.

“I know you.” Lola blinked, suddenly speaking.

This was the first thing he heard Lola say after losing her memory.

Dominick’s composed expression almost faltered when he heard this.

He raised an eyebrow with a slight smile, veins bulging on the back of his hand by his side. He forced himself to contain his emotions, speaking with a suppressed voice.

“You know me? Who am I?”

His calm and deep eyes hid emotions. He wondered if Lola remembered him.

Lola’s eyes remained clear. Suddenly smiling, she said, “On my first day back home, I saw you. You looked very distinctive, not like someone from here, so I remember you.”

Disappointment flashed briefly in Dominick’s mind. His anticipation shattered, but he forcefully suppressed it..

He thought it was okay. He thought she could talk to him calmly like this. Wasn’t that good enough?

Dominick found an excuse in his mind, soothing the emotions about to burst out.

“Oh right, you just said this is a gardenia, so beautiful. It looks fresh and elegant, just what I like.”

Dominick’s smile softened. Even with amnesia, she still had her previous preferences. She liked gardenias.

“I also like gardenias very much. I’ve even grown bigger flower gardens than this one.”

Lola got excited at his words, suddenly standing up. But she was too weak, standing up suddenly after crouching for so long, her vision blurred, and she collapsed suddenly.

“Careful!”

Dominick reacted a bit faster. The moment Lola fell, he grabbed her wrist and effortlessly pulled her into his arms.

The darkness in Lola’s vision gradually faded, and she gradually saw the face of the man in front of her.

Lola blinked slightly, not sure if she was dreaming. She seemed to have seen him before.

In a blurry memory, there seemed to be a tree. That was where they first met.

Just like now, with the wind blowing, bringing the scent of gardenias.

“Layla, what are you guys doing here?”

Scott heard Lola was there to see the flowers, so he hurried over.

But he didn’t expect to see such a scene as soon as he arrived.

Lola was slightly stunned and quickly withdrew from Dominick’s arms.

“Scott, you’re here.”

She didn’t linger in Dominick’s arms at all, then walked towards Scott.

Scott frowned slightly, looking at Dominick with an unfriendly gaze.

“What were you doing just now? You don’t even know that man. Why were you being so intimate?”
