Chapter 32
Chipter 32
When Shelmine heard the question about her ex–husband, she thought it was ironic.
Her ex–husband’s current fiancée was causing all the trouble, yet shelmaine was the one who had to be at others‘ mercy. She was the victim and the person who was getting mistreated
Jennifer said, “Shelmaine, I think your relationship with Samuel isn’t too bad. When you were admitted into the hospital, he was very concerned.
“Maybe you should talk to him. If you don’t, that woman might keep finding trouble with you. Don’t underestimate a woman’s jealousy,”
shelmane didn’t say a word.
Upon noticing her silence, Jennifer continued, “Of course, that’s just my advice, but it’s ultimately up to you. Without the studio, my husband can still support me.”
But this wasn’t the case for Shelmaine
This job was all she had. Her family wouldn’t support her, and she didn’t have a dependable husband. When Samuel and Shelmaine divorced, Samuel had given her a lot of money, so Shelmaine wouldn’t have to worry in the short term
But that was only in the short term.
The studio was a culmination of Shelmaine’s years of hard work, and she had invested a lot in it
She couldn’t let it get destroyed like this. Otherwise, Natasha would only treat Shelmaine more arrogantly and completely drive Shelmaine away from South Haven. Shelmaine thought that would be unfair to her.
Since Natasha was so insecure and set on driving her away, Shelmaine refused to leave out of spite. Shelmine decided that she wanted to make life difficult for Natasha At that thought, shelmaine unblocked Samuel’s phone number and gave him a call
But to her surprise, it was neither Samuel nor Natasha who answered the phone. It was a voice that Shelmaine had never heard before.
“Hello”
Shelmine checked the number again to make sure that it was indeed Samuel’s number that she had dialed.
She thought that it was Sarel’s secretary or assistant, so she said, “Hello, I’d like to speak to Samuel Hasting. My name is Shelmaine Clarke.”
The line went silent for a while. Then, the person answered, “Lam Samuel’s mother.”
Shelmaine treze for a moment and wasn’t sure how to respond. But before Shelmaine could speak, Samuel’s mother, Eliana Foster said, “I know of you, Ms. Clarke.” Shelmaine nervously said, “You… You’ve heard about me?”
“Samuel was trying to comfort Natasha and left his phone behind. But coincidentally, I’ve been wanting to meet you,” Eliana salit
Eliana had been aware of Shelmaine’s existence.
Nervous, Shelmaine bit her lip. But on top of feeling nervous and fearful, Shelmaine was also taken aback.
But on second thought, Shelmaine thought either Natasha or Sameel could’ve told Ehama about her. After all, Shelmaine and Samuel’s marriage was recorded, so anyone could’ve found out about it If they wanted to
But Shelmane hadn’t expected to finally meet Samuel’s family after getting a divorce from him.
“Sure,” Shelmaine said, agreeing to meet Eliana.
Natasha was in a bad mood and refused to eat all day. No matter how hard everyone else tried to comfort her, she rejected everyone except SamuelMaterial © NôvelDrama.Org.
Samuel was the only person who could talk to Natasha. But even then, she reluctantly listened to him and remained unmoved.
Last night, the Hastings had heard about Natasha’s disappearance.
Ellana was worried, so she hurriedly rushed over to visit her.
Now, Natasha was curled up in her room
At that moment, Samuel brought her a bowl of catmeal and said, “You should eat something”
“I’m not hungry,” Natasha replied
“You’re just numb from being overly hungry. If you starve any longer, your body will collapse,” Samuel gently said.
“I don’t have any appetite. I feel like poking”
“I’ll call the doctor then.”
“No, don’t,” Natasha said, shaking her head. “I don’t want to meet the doctor.” She was resistant toward doctors and seemed fearful even.
Upon hearing this, Samuel put the oatmeal down and patiently said, “but you have to see the doctor.”
“She’s pregnent,” Natasha said out of nowhere “Summer, what do you plan to do?”
