Chapter 28
Inside the desk, Nancy couldn’t hold back any longer, burst out giggling, and crawled out. Mina also burst out laughing.
Looking at the chairman’s dark face, the two girls quickly rushed out of the room. After running for a while, they couldn’t help but lean against the wall, holding their stomachs and laughing.
And then throughout the afternoon, Nancy kept remembering what happened at noon and smiled. She felt that it was unbearably funny.
Everyone around looked at her in bewilderment.
In Lyle’s office, Mina isn’t much better. When Lyle saw her handing over the documents and waiting for him to sign while secretly smiling all the time, he was extremely surprised.
“Mina, are you okay?” He asked worriedly.
“Yes, have you signed all the documents?”
“Done.”
Mina took the stack of documents from Lyle’s hand and quickly walked out, still smiling.
Lyle suddenly ran into the bathroom to look in the mirror. He saw that his face was still very normal, there was nothing to laugh about.
At the same time, in the president’s room, Stephen pushed open the door, walked in, and immediately lay down on the sofa.
Just now, Dylan called and told him to go with Paul to province C tomorrow to complete the project transfer procedures with the Galaxy company.
“President, you’re planning on turning me into a workaholic, right?” Stephen sighed and asked.
“Don’t you like the sea? If you go to province C, you can go out freely. On Friday, you will complete the transfer agreement with the Galaxy company, and you will be free to fly and jump for the next two days.” Dylan softened his voice to seduce Stephen.
“I’ve only been back for a few days.” Stephen continued to sigh.
“After a week, someone will come to help you, I promise.”
“Who?” Stephen jumped up, his eyes blinking.
“Then you will know. Oh, today is payday, right?”
As soon as Dylan finished asking, Stephen’s phone rang a tone indicating that money had been added to his account.
On the floors below, the employees, including Nancy, also began to rush to check their salaries and happily left the office.
Nancy got off the bus and immediately stopped by the supermarket to buy food.
She had just chosen a few things when she had the misfortune to bump into a man as soon as she turned around.
Seeing him masked and looking like a bad guy, she became scared and quickly moved away, but he caught her and forced her to sit down.
Just as she was about to scream, he covered her mouth with his hand, then he gently pulled down the mask.
“Daniel.” Nancy rolled her eyes and exclaimed.
“Yes, I’m being chased by reporters, please help me.” Daniel begged in a low voice.
“Help? How can I help?”
“Buy things.”
“Huh?”
Next, Daniel followed Nancy. He took all the items that were within reach and put them in the cart. In just a moment, it was full.
There are items that Nancy doesn’t know what they are used for.
Nancy had to admit that Daniel was truly a true actor. When he first met her, he acted like they had been close friends for eight lifetimes, smiling and speaking gently, seeming to pamper and care for her.
Two reporters followed them and took pictures continuously. One guy rubbed his eyes back and forth, then turned to the guy next to him.
“Obviously, I saw Rosalind just now, how did she turn out to be such a strange girl?”
“Take a quick photo. It doesn’t matter who the person next to Daniel is. As long as Daniel is in the photo, it’s fine.” The man growled.
When it was time to pay, Daniel pulled out his bank card and gave it to the employee.
Nancy glanced over and saw that it was a black card. She guessed that the identity behind his power card was not simply that of an actor.
After paying, Daniel carried the things to the car, and Nancy also followed him. She agreed to help him, so she had to play her role well.
“Where is your house?” Daniel asked as he backed up the car.
“I live nearby, turn left at the fork ahead.” She answered.
When they arrived, Daniel waited for Nancy to open the door and then brought all the things into the house for her because they were quite a lot and heavy.
“Don’t you take anything?” Nancy spoke shyly.
“No, consider it as my reward for you, thank you very much.”
“Just now, the reporter took a photo of me with you. Is it okay?”
“I’ll say you’re my distant cousin. That won’t be a problem.”
“Okay, let’s consider it like I see that you are rich so I want to be related to you.”All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
“What’s your name?”
“Nancy Pelosi, I work in the editorial department of Global Group.”
Daniel smiled, remembered what Nancy said, then bowed slightly to his benefactor and quickly left.
All day today he hung out at the studio waiting for Rosalind to finish filming before taking her home because at noon Alisa suddenly had a headache and asked to go home first so he took the opportunity to pick up the beauty.
He didn’t expect that after driving for a while, he discovered that several reporters were chasing after them.
Although Daniel loved Rosalind and wanted to let the whole country know about this relationship, he did not want to affect her career, so he enthusiastically ran away from the reporters.
Unfortunately, the streets are crowded in the late afternoon, and driving fast can easily cause accidents.
So when he saw the supermarket, he pulled over, let Rosalind get out of the car to catch a taxi, and drove straight inside to distract them because he knew they were only looking at the license plate.
Then he accidentally met Nancy and came up with the idea of clinging to her, deliberately letting the reporters take clear pictures of her face to quell suspicions.
