Chapter 311 Don't Go And Just Stay With Me (Part One)
While she continued to stare at Noah, Andrea slowly sat down on the rosewood chair. Then, she took a
sip of tea before saying, "Well, Noah, I have been wanting to talk to you."
Upon hearing those words, Noah's brown eyes suddenly flashed dark. But he immediately covered it
by smiling gently as he sat down on the chair beside Andrea.
"Mother, whatever you need to say, just say it. You can be direct with me," Noah told her sincerely.
Andrea asked the servant to pour him a cup of tea too. Her graceful and gentle temperament always
made her look dignified and beautiful. After a while, she explained comprehensively, "Noah, I know
you're not satisfied with your father's will.
But your father is not here right now and I have the right to redistribute shares. I promise to be fair and
just. I won't be biased towards anyone. I want you and Callie to share our assets equally. The two of
you will have 30 percent of shares each. This way, the whole Hua family will belong to both you and
Callie."
Noah lowered his gaze a little while a soft smile made its way on his face.
"Mother, do you have any hesitation about our marriage? Are you worried about your daughter?"
Andrea shook her head and sighed softly. Then, she said, "Noah, among the Hua family's
descendants, you are the most capable and I'm very proud to call you my son."
She paused for a while before placing her hands on top of his. She held his hand gently then stated,
"Although you are my adopted child, you know that I have treated you like my own over the years.
If Callie loves you, I would be the happiest person in the world to see the two of you get married. But
we both know the truth. There is no denying that she loves someone else and this marriage is against
her will."
While she spoke, Andrea slowly lowered her head. After all, Callie was her biological daughter. She
had nursed Callie and took care of her while she was in her womb for nine months. It could be said that
Callie was the most important person in Andrea's heart, aside from her husband. Like any mother, she
loves her daughter and cares about her daughter's feelings.
'The undeniable reality is that Callie is in love with Terence.
If Terence were an ordinary, good-for-nothing man, I would have a reason to ask Callie to break up with
him and marry Noah instead.
But Terence is extremely prominent for being well established and impeccable among his peers. Not to
mention that the AJ Group is one of the richest enterprises all over the country. On top of that, its great
influence on the country's economy and its extraordinary political connections have strengthened his
status. All of this is actually beneficial to the Hua family.
It's commendable that Callie and Terence love each other and know each other very well. It would only
be appropriate to say that they are soul mates, ' Andrea pondered.
With these thoughts, Andrea didn't want to separate the two.
It's only natural for mothers to want the best for their daughters. Even preferably, she can live a happy
life with a good husband and adorable children accompanying her. Of course, Andrea was not an
exception. She also hoped that her daughter would have a happy marriage.
"Mother, are you trying to say that you want to cancel tomorrow's engagement ceremony? If so, I'm not
against it. However, if Callie is not engaged to me, I will hold 60% shares of the Hua Group as stated in
the will,"
Noah said with a gentle smile. He gently withdrew his hand from Andrea's grasp to take the teacup on
the table. Then, he took a sip of the tea with a sparkle in his eyes.
"Noah, you..." Andrea tried to speak but Noah cut him off.
"Mother, the reason why I want to get married to Callie is to make the Hua family's business more
stable. Besides, if we pushed through with the marriage, you could see her all the time and take care of
her. Why do you think my father, an astute person, had so much determination in sealing this
engagement?"
Noah placed down the cup of tea on the table.
What was his reason exactly? Even if Noah didn't directly say it, Andrea knew what it was.
If Noah got 60 percent of the shares, the whole Hua Group would technically be his, alone. Andrea
would not be able to object or have a say in whatever Noah would want to do including if he chose to
give the company to someone that was not part of the Hua family.
Allen had put so much of his lifetime, energy and painstaking efforts into the Hua Group. And as his
wife, Andrea felt the responsibility to guard the Hua Group for him. Especially now he couldn't do so
anymore.
At the thought of these consequences, Andrea obscurely shivered. She held on to the cup in her hand
a little tighter and gave a wry smile. She finally understood Allen's words.
'Allen and I adopted three children, including Noah. We provided him with a good education, gave him
a position in the company and taught him how to manage the business.
What we didn't expect is that Noah, being the proudest one among the Hua family descendants, would
turn out to be such a cruel and ruthless one. He even intends to have the Hua Group all to himself, ' NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
Andrea thought to herself.
"I see. I will go to JA City immediately and come back with Callie. I will have our servants arrange a car
that could take me there,"
after a while, Andrea said while she sighed.
"There's no need to do that, mother. The car has been waiting outside for a while now. I hope you can
return as soon as you can. Callie needs to try on wedding dresses when she comes back tonight,"
Noah firmly stated.
Then, he stood up, nodded at her and continued, "Mother, you can rest assured that I will be nice to
Callie."
Andrea smiled bitterly and said nothing.
She just got up from the sofa quietly, went to her room to change her clothes and set off for JA City.
Meanwhile, in JA City, Carla was completely unaware of the confrontation that just happened between
her mother and Noah.
As if a reflection of what was happening in their lives, the waves outside of the Seaview Villa were in a
turmoil. One after another, the waves surged after each other. The vast sea seemed restless.
But no matter how turbulent the waters were, they never seemed to reach the villa. They could only
reach so close, but not close enough to drown the people inside.
