Chapter 275 God-like Person (Part One)

Joe saw the hate in Jean's eyes, and he felt that she looked very terrified and very determined at the

same time.

Joe asked, "What did my Daddy do to you?" He thought to himself, 'Has my Daddy had his revenge on

her? Before I was born, what happened between Daddy, Mommy, this Jean and the woman Sally He?'

Jean became even more irate, and said, "You're not qualified to know that."

Joe looked at Jean, and asked, "Do you hate my Daddy and Mommy?"

"Yes, and I also hate you! I hate you because you're Jackson's son!" replied Jean. She wanted to glare

at him and hate him, but when she looked at Joe, she realized that she couldn't, and she had no idea

why.

Joe looked at her and didn't feel terrific. He calmly added, "So why don't you kill me? Why don't you

hurt me?"

Joe knew that a man like his Daddy certainly had enemies, and if they wanted to take their revenge on

him, they would naturally come to hurt him first, because he was an easy and effective target.

Jean didn't reply him immediately; instead, she paused for a second, and then coldly said, "I'm not in a

hurry. You're just a kid, and anyway I know how to control you."

Joe said, "Yes, yes. You look really smart."

Jean slightly smiled at him, and said, "Of course I'm smarter than you. Do you think that I lived for so

long without learning anything on the way?"

Joe said, "Haha, if only I could be half as clever as you are!" But in fact he thought that his aunt was

actually very silly, and that she was no match for him in terms of intelligence.

Jean didn't get Joe's implied meaning, and actually thought that Joe was admiring her. She laughed,

and said, "You should be a good boy and stay in school. I'm telling you this because not only I, but also

other people are watching you."

Joe was astonished, and hastily asked, "Are they all my Daddy's enemies?" Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

As Jean leaned against the sofa and tried to look elegant, she looked at Joe, and said, "Of course they

are! What? Do you really think that your Daddy managed to become so powerful without having a few

enemies?"

"But why do they hate my Daddy? My Daddy has done nothing to them, right?" said Joe. He pretended

to say this because he wanted to get more information out of Jean. He would then come up with the

perfect plan to protect his Daddy and Mommy based on what he learned from her.

Jean echoed his words, "Done nothing to them? You weren't even born when your Daddy hurt the

other people!"

Joe continued to play innocent, and said, "But he hasn't told me anything, and my Mommy doesn't

know about any of these things!" He acted just like a naive child would.

"Oh, that's because your Mommy is very silly. She has been fooled by your Daddy all along. She

doesn't even try to find out the things that your Daddy has done; all that she does is to stay with him all

day long, without any idea of what kind of person your Daddy actually is, " replied Jean. It was more

than obvious that Jean looked down on Cherry.

Joe asked, "Then do you know what kind of person my Daddy is?"

Jean couldn't restrain herself any longer, and said, "Your Daddy is a selfish bastard! Years ago he killed

many people to get what he wanted, and he even banned one of his closest friends!"

Joe thought that he might get some pretty useful information, so he asked again, "Did my Daddy kill

anyone?"

"Yes, more than one, " replied Jean. She put on airs, as if Joe was begging her to talk.

"So who did he ban? It seems that all my Daddy's friends are around him, " said Joe, while pretending

to think of his Daddy's nearest and dearest persons.

"It's..." Jean was about the say his name but she stopped. She immediately realized that she had

already talked more than she had to, and when she wanted to speak out Mond's name, she

remembered what kind of person he really was. If Mond ever found out that she had uttered his name

to other people he would have surely killed her, even if she had told it to a little kid. She knew very well

how merciless Mond was.

Joe asked again, "Who is it?" He hoped that Jean would tell him who the man was, and he also thought

that her words were very useful pieces of information to have.

Jean thought for a while, and then said to Joe, "It's useless to tell you anyway."

Joe then noticed that Jean was silent again. He really wanted to ask her more questions, but he

considered that it would be best to wait for the moment. If the silly aunt came to him once, she would

certainly come to him again.

After their meal, Joe and Jean walked out of the restaurant and were heading to the car to go back to

school. Joe suddenly saw that there was a dessert shop nearby selling ice cream, and he said, "Aunt

Jean, I want to eat ice cream!"

Jean suddenly froze when she heard how fondly Joe called her, and felt warm in her heart, as if a warm

current was running through it.

Jean calmly said, "Wait a minute here, I'll go and buy you some."

Joe nodded, and said, "Okay, I want chocolate ice cream."

Jean then went to the dessert shop and ordered some chocolate ice cream.

After the vendor gave Jean the ice cream, she looked at Joe, who was not that far away, and said,

"Your son is really cute."

Jean was completely astonished, and only realized after a while that the waiter was actually referring to

Joe. She didn't explain anything, just smiled and said, "Thank you."

Jean then brought back the ice cream to Joe and gave it to him.

He took the ice cream and happily said to Jean, "Thank you, Aunt Jean!"

Jean felt delighted to hear Joe call her like that, and she liked him even more.
