Chapter 245 Being Together Forever
Chapter 245 Being Together Forever
"Jackson, at one time in the past, you tried so hard to protect me, now you only want me to die?" Sally NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.
had a pitiful look in her eyes looking up at Jackson. She wondered if he could really bring himself to
hurt her.
Jackson looked down silently at Sally. His relationship with her was somewhat complex and this
couldn't be solved easily.
Cherry and Joe looked at Sally too, without saying anything. They were all waiting to hear what
Jackson would say.
Jackson remained quiet and didn't respond to Sally's question for a long while.
Sally cast her angry eyes in Joe's direction and said harshly, "Your son looks very smart."
Cherry held Joe tighter to her but didn't say a word.
Joe turned half round to look up into Sally's eyes, and saw the hatred, jealousy, dissatisfaction, and
anger staring back at him. He wondered, 'Does she love Daddy a lot? Or, does she hate Mommy a lot?'
"Leave right now! Don't let Grandfather see you, or I can't guarantee what will happen." Jackson coldly
threatened as he glowered at Sally.
Sally understood Jackson's veiled threat. If his grandfather saw her, she couldn't imagine how he would
treat her. If he wanted to secretly kill her, it would be easier than pinching an ant. Nowhere else but the
military residential compound could that happen.
Sally gave Cherry and Joe a hate-filled glance before she turned and left.
Cherry watched Sally leave, and reassured her son in a low voice, "It's okay, it's okay, Joe. Let's go to
say goodbye to Great-grandpa now. We are going home."
"Okay, " Joe lovingly told his mother.
Seeing Cherry and their son heading into the house, Jackson had a sudden realization. He looked
around but didn't see the Butler. He clearly remembered the Butler had taken Joe out earlier. His
Grandfather asked him to take good care of Joe. If it wasn't for the fact that Cherry and he were
standing in the yard, he didn't know what Sally would have done to Joe.
A complicated emotion showed in Jackson's eyes.
Cherry and Joe said their goodbyes to Grandfather before they went out and got in Jackson's car.
Jackson saw Cherry and Joe sitting in the car, and told his grandfather, "Grandpa, we're leaving now,
but we'll come back to see you again soon."
Andrew nodded, looked over at the car and asked Jackson, "Cherry seems to be a little unhappy, did
you make her angry again?"
Jackson didn't know how to answer his question.
"Oh, I hadn't noticed, I will ask her later. I am sure it is nothing." Jackson knew Cherry didn't tell Andrew
about Sally.
"Well, as a couple, you should live well together. Treat her better and take good care of Joe. He is
really cute even though he is quite naughty." Andrew couldn't help but smile when he talked about Joe.
"Yes, I know, Grandpa." Jackson nodded, "Okay, we're leaving now."
"Okay, go, don't keep them waiting too long for you, " said Andrew.
Jackson got in, started the car, and drove away.
Cherry was silent the entire trip home. She watched the scenery outside the window fly by. When Joe
saw his mommy was not happy, he bowed his head and quietly played on his Ipad.
Jackson glanced at Cherry several times he drove along. He wanted to ask if she was unhappy, but
when he saw the look on her face, he didn't know how to ask. The atmosphere in the car grew tenser
each mile.
Back home, Lily greeted them happily, "Sir, madam, you are back!"
Jackson nodded and casually glanced at Cherry.
Cherry ignored Lily, and went into the living room calling out to her son, "Joe, go to your room and do
your homework."
"Oh." Joe knew she was unhappy and didn't dare to provoke her. He listened to her and went upstairs
to do homework.
Lily noticed Cherry was a little angry, but didn't know what happened. She didn't dare to provoke
Cherry either, so she politely told Jackson, "Sir, I'll go cleaning up first."
"Okay, " Jackson waved his hand dismissing Lily.
Jackson walked over to the sofa and squatted in front of Cherry instead of sitting next to her; holding
her hand and looking at her, "Babe, what is it? Why are you angry?"
"I don't want to talk to you." Cherry was annoyed at even the sight of Jackson. She brushed Jackson's
hand away, stood up and headed up the stairs.
Seeing Cherry go upstairs, Jackson was worried, so he followed her.
Cherry sat quietly on the edge of the bed in her room. She knew Jackson followed her in but didn't turn
around. She looked out the floor-to-ceiling window with her back to him.
Jackson went into the room and closed the door. He went and sat next to Cherry. He put his arms
around her and asked softly, "What happened? Tell me."
"Really? I need to tell you? Sally, obviously, plans to hurt Joe. Can't you see that? " Cherry looked at
Jackson with anger in her eyes. This man once promised he would protect their son, but now, she felt
their son was in grave danger.
Jackson thought for a while before looking back at Cherry, "Babe, our son is safe. Believe me."
"How can I believe you? Sally came to the military residential compound. Do you think she will give up
so easily?" Cherry was already scared in her heart. She knew Sally was a vicious woman, who would
stop at nothing to reach her goal, no matter the cost.
Jackson didn't know how to comfort Cherry. He was more concerned than her. Protecting her and their
son was his responsibility. He would never let them suffer.
"Babe, trust me, I'll protect our son. If Sally dares to try and harm our son, I won't let her get away."
Jackson's voice was solemn. He wasn't infatuated with Sally anymore; he only tolerated her because
she knew all about him. If she dared harm his beloved woman and son, he would desperately protect
them over his life. The two of them meant everything to him.
Cherry looked into Jackson's eyes but didn't say anything. She wasn't worried because she didn't
believe in Jackson, but because she was afraid their son would be hurt. She couldn't lose her son,
absolutely not.
Jackson held Cherry tightly in his arms, whispering in her ear, "Babe, you, me and our son, we're going
to be together forever."
Jackson's sweet words made Cherry feel a little better and gave a small nod and said, "Okay."
